Found these sweet little babies laying out on our farm today without mummy. We’ve made sure to wrap them up warm and get them some formula from the vets. We’re thinking of naming them Shrimp & Miso 🖤

Tried to check out with pay in 3, everything was going fine but I accidentally paid with the wrong card that didn’t have enough on it for the first instalment, now my purchase power has become ‘unavailable’. Help please?
I lost my dad on the eve of my 20th birthday, followed by my mom shortly after. I’m now 28 and still navigating the loss and grief that still feels very heavy. I’ll withhold any other details, so you can ask me anything :)
So my best friend (28F) & I (28F) have been best friends for almost 20 years. We have had our ups & downs but have mostly remained very close. We started taking trips together after covid, and while I have learned that I can get a bit overwhelmed by her after a week together, nothing has been majorly off-putting. Until now.
Over the last year or so, my friend has lost around 50 pounds and it’s been life changing for her. She wasn’t huge before but it’s certainly gave her a confidence boost and she says she feels so great. I couldn’t be happier for her.
On this trip, I’ve noticed she has now become very critical of other people’s bodies in ways she wasn’t before. She lost weight with the help of a GLP1 (not a criticism, I have done so too. Just worth mentioning), and she’s told me how she couldn’t have possibly lost the weight without the drug. She now thinks it is an appropriate “fix” for just about anyone who is dealing with extra weight. Her comments about it have been strange and often nasty. I’ve just ignored them for the most part, and not added any fuel to her fire.
We were sitting at dinner whilst on this trip. I had went for a nap earlier in the day after being sick the day before, and feeling run down. While I napped, she was out by the pool, reading. I asked her about her book, if she went for a swim, etc. She told me that there was a man out in the pool who was overweight. I didn’t respond to that, I didn’t see why it was a necessary factor. She then followed up with “his man boobs are as low as yours”. I realised what she had said and I was in shock. This was quite a touchy subject for me. She has known for a long time that I plan on getting a breast reduction and lift. It’s something I’m quite insecure about, so much so that I didn’t even get into the pool while on our trip because it bothers me so much. I told her that her comment was unnecessary and she just laughed it off.
AITAH for wanting to distance myself from her now we’re home again? I’m starting to feel like she’s changed for the worse and it’s always at my expense.
Ngl, I’m considering picking up one of everything 😅
I’ve never tried the Lush perfumes so I’m particularly excited to try the new one as apart of the collab!
I loveeeed the little banana bag charm that dropped with the banana pudding balm, I’m really hoping they come out with something cute to go with the new I❤️NYC apple balm!
Placing an order on the site & trying to decide between Bananaaaa or Banoffee Pie.
Which is better in your opinion?
For context: My best friend & I have been inseparable for 15+ years. She was a bridesmaid at my wedding, we have matching tattoos and altogether don’t have anyone in our lives that we are as close to as each other. (Only people who come close to her in my life are my husband & sister).
She’s always had a bit of a weird streak. Like she would say we should book to go to a fancy dinner, go to the theatre etc and somehow it would always end up with my card being put down. We used to be in a friend group and the other friends would call her cheap on the regular. She would get very defensive about it, saying shes “frugal” and doesn’t like to waste her money (have to add that she’s in a very good and high paying job, and still lives at home so she has admitted that she has minimal bills, it’s never been an issue of not having money, that would be something else entirely.)
I shrugged this off for a while but now it’s starting to grate on me. I bake and have done for years. I’ve been taking it more seriously recently and taken specialised courses to learn new techniques and skillsets. She reached out today with a request for a cake. But not just any cake, she had a criteria, told me all about this persons interests, a theme & a lot of other details. She told me it was for her work bestie. I took a step back and realised. She would never do this for me. She also wouldn’t approach someone else with a full criteria for a custom cake, not even mention compensating them for their time, and expect it to be done for nothing. She wouldn’t even consider going to a bakery for this. She’s always taken advantage of getting me to make free baked goodies, and I’ve never said no as I’ve enjoyed the practice and love to make things for people, but this feels a step further. It feels like she’s using me and would never do the same for me. Am I the asshole for feeling this way?
For context, my best friend and I both have autism. We have fairly low support needs and both work full time.
I’ve always thought that she has been quite dismissive of things I say but lately it’s been really difficult. There have been plenty of instances where I’ll be discussing something that’s really important to me and she will divert the conversation back to herself pretty much immediately or completely dismiss what I was saying. It’s starting to get quite hurtful as I don’t feel seen or understood at all.
I know the tendencies that we as autistic people can have and I know I can sometimes find it hard to see outside of my own peripheral, but it’s becoming unbearable when I just need to vent to a friend and she is never listening, just waiting for the opportunity to talk about herself :(
I’ve seen all the dupes on tik tok shop of the polka dot bowler & im desperate for baggu to restock! I’ve searched all over vinted & eBay and I can’t even find one on resale (im UK based!)🥺
Visiting the city with my husband this weekend and curious about some restaurant recommendations?
Not fussy about cuisine, just good vibes & good food :)
I recently found out that the therapist that my dad attended weekly for over 25 years didn’t even acknowledge my dads passing and it has made me question if a lot of therapists even genuinely care about their patients, including my own.
I understand maintaining a professional relationship but knowing that my family reached out to him after my dad passed & he didn’t even acknowledge the message disgusted me, let alone express his condolences.
Thank you to everyone who liked my last post about Fig and left such heartfelt comments.
My sweetheart passed this evening as I held her tight for the last time.
I love you forever Fig, my sweet girl 🖤
My husband and I have been together for over 8 years, and we just celebrated our first wedding anniversary . We have been inundated with comments from family and friends about when we’re going to have a baby. Truthfully, I’ve always had mixed feelings about motherhood, mostly because my own relationship with my mother was very complicated, and I have gynae issues that are known for causing fertility problems. I suffered a miscarriage (after not even knowing I was pregnant) back in December, and ever since, I’ve been snappy with people asking when we plan on having our first. It was a sensitive subject to say the least.
We finally came to a conclusion: we don’t want kids.
There’s a lot of components that went into making that decision, but I’m so relieved we have both agreed that the childfree path is for us.
Both feeling very content about it and not afraid to tell those pressuring us that it simply isn’t for us :)
