No one is coming to save us

It used to be that no matter how shit the world situation was we could look to the Sounders to provide at least a little bit of joy, a break.

That is no longer the case.

We have an owner who is better suited to the USL where the amount of capital he's willing to spend makes a difference.

We have a GM who was never great to begin with.

We have a coach who is stuck playing Tacoma players because every one is getting injured, and the owner(s) are too cheap to bring in any quality or buy out busts.

We have a club which rewards mediocrity and familiarity over making tough decisions.

We aren't signing anyone and haven't in how long? And even if we did, not even Messi could save us at this point. No single player could. We need multiple.

The only solution is to hope Adrian Hanauer cashes out selling the team at a discount to some billionaire who has been eyeing it...,.. yeah

No one is coming to save us.

Anti Fascist Messages Outside Seattle's World Cup Stadium

It was hard to miss these flyers posted on poles all around the stadium. Also, people were lining up for selfies in front of the F.I.F.A (Fuck ICE Free America) banner.

Cascadia is in the Star Citizen Lore! Happy Pride!

So I was doing some reading of the lore behind the celebration of Pride in the Star Citizen universe where it is called Celebration Week. In it are two characters named Jayne Belli and Mona Avakian who met in Cascadia.

Someone may want to add this to the Cascadia in Pop Culture segment of the Cascadia movement wikipedia article.

CITIES ERUPT IN CELEBRATION AS WAR'S END DECLARED ACROSS THE HEARTLAND OF CASCADIA

Portland, Cascadian Union, Tuesday, May 26th — From the rain soaked streets of Portland to the waterfront promenades of Seattle, from the quiet college town squares of Olympia to the bustling ferry docks of Bellingham, the cities and towns of the Cascadian Union's western heartland erupted in scenes of jubilation on Tuesday morning as word spread that the last Megasotan resistance had collapsed and the Accord at Crater Lake had been formally ratified. In Portland, thousands gathered along the Willamette River bridges by mid-morning, many wrapped in the blue, white and green of the Cascadian banner, some weeping openly, others dancing to impromptu drum circles that echoed off the steel spans as a pale spring sun broke through the clouds. The city's famous food cart pods threw open their windows early, operators refusing to charge veterans in uniform, and dance music from amplified speakers at impromptu street parties thumped and soared across the rooftops all the way to the West Hills. The Cascadian Air Corps staged a triumphant flyover of the city just before noon, the roar of the aircraft washing over the celebrating crowds along the Willamette and drawing a sustained cheer that rippled from bridge to bridge all the way up the river.

In Seattle, the celebrations carried a particular electricity given that the city's own former mayor, now First Speaker Katie Wilson, had led the Union through the final and decisive phase of the conflict. Pioneer Square filled beyond capacity before eleven in the morning, with residents climbing lampposts and leaning from windows to catch a glimpse of the enormous public screens broadcasting Wilson's victory address from Crater Lake. Crowds surged toward Lumen Field as word spread that armored personnel carriers from Cascadia's 2nd Mechanized Division had rolled up and parked outside the stadium, their crews climbing atop the vehicles to wave Cascadian flags to the thousands who gathered around them cheering and pressing forward to touch the battle worn hulls as if making contact with history itself. On the waterfront, fishing boats and ferries sounded their horns in long rolling waves across Elliott Bay, the sound mingling with the cries of gulls and the distant cheering of crowds along the shore. Old timers who had lived through the early days of the Cascadian movement, back when it had been little more than a regional dream passed around in coffee shops and community halls, stood among the crowds with an expression that required no words, the look of people who had waited a very long time for a morning exactly like this one.

Katie Wilson Elected Leader of Cascadia - War Nears End

THE CASCADIAN HERALD

Voice of the Union, From the Salish Sea to the Prairie

WILSON ELECTED FIRST SPEAKER AS CASCADIAN FORCES RAISE FLAG OVER SAINT PAUL

Saint Paul, Cascadian Front, May 26, 2026 - In a moment that will long be remembered as one of the most dramatic convergences of political and military history in the young nation's existence, Katie Wilson was elected First Speaker of the Cascadian Union by a sweeping majority of the tribal councils and regional assemblies today, even as Cascadian forces were reported to be accepting the surrender of the Megasotan holdouts in Saint Paul and raising the Cascadian banner over the steps of the capitol dome for the first time, the white flag of Megasota having been lowered in the grey morning hours while thunderstorms of the season along with tanks rolled across the empty boulevards of the city. Wilson, the former Seattle mayor and lifelong organizer who had campaigned on a platform of unity, indigenous rights, and a just resolution to the conflict, received word of her election and the liberation of Saint Paul within the same hour, and was said by aides to have stood very still for a long moment before simply saying, "Now the harder work begins."

They are getting DESPERATE but they're gaining on us.

They're trying to rally more votes over on r/Megasota and have managed to claw back 100 votes after we opened up a 300 votes lead. If you have voted, get your friends and family to vote, if you have done that, spread the poll to other places people would vote for Cascadia.

And if you have not voted. NOW is the time: https://www.reddit.com/r/geographymemes/comments/1tnedt2/the_new_poll_for_the_people_who_didnt_understand/

The story has already made the news in The Oregonian: https://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/2026/05/oregon-makes-final-round-of-viral-delete-a-state-reddit-tournament.html

Cascadian Ambassador Seeks Union

Hello people of the North from another people of the north. I represent the forces who have rallied to support Cascadia, but, I come in peace. I just wanted to inform you that if we, Cascadia win, I will put forth a proposal via a poll on r/geographymemes that our two great peoples unite under the banner of the Cascadisota Union. The former Cascadia flag will feature a loon of your choosing for the final map.

We are a friend to all: https://www.reddit.com/r/geographymemes/comments/1tnfgd3/cascadia_is_a_friend_to_all/
