Java Beginners: What Is an Object Actually?

I'm a Java learner and I've been learning Java for the past few months, but I still don't truly understand what an object actually is.

I've watched several YouTube videos and used AI tools to understand it, but I keep getting the same explanation: "An object is nothing but data + code."

I understand the definition, but I still can't visualize or feel what an object actually is when I'm writing Java code.

Could someone explain it in a simple, practical way, preferably with a real world analogy and a small Java example?

I feel like I'm missing one fundamental concept here. Any explanation would be really helpful. Thanks!

My relationship F19 is making me M20 constantly anxious and I don't know what to do

I’m in a relationship and I’ve reached a point where I constantly think about her and our relationship. I don’t like seeing other guys around her, and I find myself getting jealous and overthinking a lot.

Recently, she hasn’t been giving me as much time as she used to. She says that because of things that happened in her past, she struggles to put effort into relationships. She also told me that she doesn’t want to have sex at all in her life, which I’m trying to understand and respect.

She also doesn’t like talking much anymore. At the beginning of our relationship, we used to talk a lot and things felt very different. Now I feel like I’m putting in more emotional effort and constantly worrying about where I stand with her.

I care about her a lot, but I’m starting to wonder whether I’m becoming too dependent on the relationship or whether we simply have different needs.

How do I handle this without pressuring her or losing myself in the relationship? Is it possible to make this work when one person wants more communication and effort than the other?

I’m confused about my relationship and could really use some advice

I’ve been in a relationship for the past four months, and I’ve been feeling confused and uncertain about a few things. Sometimes I feel like she may not genuinely like me, even though she tells me that she does.

We’ve also had differences and concerns regarding sharing intimate photos, how much time we give each other, having close friends of the opposite gender, boundaries, trust, and several other issues.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions or assume the worst, but I’m struggling to understand whether these are normal relationship differences, communication problems, or signs that we may not be compatible.

Please don’t suggest that I immediately have a deep or serious conversation with her. I understand that communication is important, but I’m not ready to do that right now. At this stage, I mainly want outside perspectives to help me understand what I’m feeling and look at the situation more clearly.

If anyone has experienced something similar or has helpful advice, I’d really appreciate your thoughts. Please be respectful—I’m genuinely trying to understand the situation and make better decisions.

Samsung M14 5G won’t turn on after a drop — important data is not backed up. Is recovery still possible?

I have a Samsung Galaxy M14 5G (6 GB RAM / 128 GB storage). I accidentally dropped it about two days ago. After the drop, the phone immediately turned off.

I tried turning it back on:

  • It powered on only once, but shut down almost immediately.
  • The second time, it showed the Samsung boot logo, then turned off.
  • After that, it would not turn on despite multiple attempts.

I took it to a local mobile repair shop on the same day. The technician said there might be a soldering issue. In front of me, he repeatedly worked on/re-soldered the storage chip (around 5–6 times) and also worked on the processor.

After that:

  • The phone showed the Samsung boot screen twice.
  • Each time, the boot screen remained visible for around 10–15 minutes.
  • The technician then turned the phone off and said he needed to check the health of the chips.
  • When I returned the next day, he tried again and told me that the chip was damaged and nothing could be done.

Some relevant history:

  • The phone’s display has been replaced twice because of water damage.
  • On both occasions, there were also IC-related issues.

The phone contains many important photos, videos, and documents, and unfortunately, I do not have a backup.

I would really appreciate advice from anyone experienced with Samsung motherboard repair or data recovery:

  1. Does this sound like a storage/UFS issue, a processor issue, a motherboard issue, or something else?
  2. Since the phone was able to remain on the Samsung logo for 10–15 minutes, is there still a possibility of recovering the data?
  3. Could the repeated heating/re-soldering attempts have caused additional damage?
  4. Should I take it to a professional board-level data recovery specialist or an authorized Samsung service center?
  5. Is there anything I should avoid doing now to prevent further damage or reduce the chances of data recovery?

I am not trying to repair the phone just to use it again. My main priority is recovering the data.

Any technical advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Final Year Engineering Student From a Tier 3 College. Placements Start in 2 Months and I Need Honest Advice.

I'm a final year engineering student from a tier 3 college, and placements are starting in about 2 months. Honestly, I feel very behind. I don't really understand how the IT industry works, what skills companies expect, how software development happens in real jobs, how to build good projects, or how to prepare effectively for placements. I have very basic knowledge of C, C++, Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, but I'm not proficient in any of them. I've decided to focus on Java and build my career around it. My goal is to secure a package of at least 5-6 LPA. I know that won't be easy given my current situation, but that's what I'm aiming for. I want honest advice on: What should I focus on in these 2 months? How much DSA is enough for placements? What Java skills should I learn first? Should I prioritize Java, DSA, projects, aptitude, or CS fundamentals? What projects can I realistically build in 2 months? How do fresher interviews usually work? What are the most common reasons students get rejected? If you were in my position, what exact roadmap would you follow ? Please don't sugarcoat it. If I'm already late in some areas, tell me directly. I'd rather focus on what actually matters than waste time on the wrong things. Any advice from recruiters, software engineers, or people who started from a similar position would be greatly appreciated.
