Given that there’s no explicit major requirements for most jobs, I wonder if theres been a few funny ones that sounded like getting a degree in unemployment. At least, had Epic had not scooped them
I’ll be moving here soon from Cincinnati. I was looking at ticket prices for games, I’m seeing 35-40 bucks for get in prices. What the hell? There’s literally a game today where I can watch my MLS team play against Pumas for 20 bucks. Madison theoretically are paying their players well less being a lower league team.
Why are the prices so high? High demand? Artificial scarcity? Scalping?
I’m at 90k with a bachelor’s in Politics. Epic saved me from my own disastrous financial decisions, thank the lord. Nonetheless I’ll have to run a pretty tight ship on a QM salary. I wonder what you guys are at

Context: 22yo, straight out of college. Got hired for QM starting in October. How long should it take before I know with a reasonably high level of confidence whether or not I like this job? Never studied anything remotely related to healthcare IT. I have a completely blank slate, I do not have any preconceived notions.

Interesting question my brother asked.

Both numbers are inflation adjusted year after year.
I visited in 2023 with my ex girlfriend hosting me. I remember the mood being largely apolitical, but those who cared feeling apathetic about the system. I would walk the streets of Dunaharaszti, Budapest, Miskolctapolca, Eger, Siófok, Visegrád, etc. feeling strange seeing so many government posters all over the place.
I wonder, are Hungarians feeling a bit happier, if that’s possible? You guys have the best food in Europe, beautiful architecture, and now proof that democracy is alive. I just am glad to see you guys thriving and I’m wondering if you all agree :)
Some context: I’m a white American and I went on a university trip to help people in Costa Rica. One of my best friends is a great guy from Cairo and a classmate who went with me. He was very confident in his complexion, saying that Egyptians don’t burn. He chose a sleeveless shirt the first day, and burnt the hell out of himself. That was some serious Schadenfreude.
He told me that his skin had gotten too used to the American climate, and that he could never tell his family of this story, lest he get made the butt of even more jokes. Poor guy. Haha.
Anyways, how true is what he says? Ought any good Egyptian be immune to a sunburn?
While I was waiting for my order, I heard a lead guy yell ‘Around the World!’ Like 3 or 4 different times. In n outers of Reddit, any idea on what that means?
