T-Nut Install Carbon Fiber Stock

This weekend's project is installing a t-nut into my Weatherby Mk V carbon fiber stock so I can mount an Arca/Pic plate. Here is my planned process, let me know thoughts:

- Fill small cavity space with an epoxy resin (JB Weld ClearWeld)
- Drill hole center of stock (start small, work up to correct size)
- Set t-nut centered in hole (flat t-nut, not the one for wood)
- thin layer of epoxy on top to hole t-nut in place

Thoughts?

Wojtek Weaponry - CA Compliance Service

Wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to Nate at Wojtek. I had been in the market for a Seekins SP10 and found nothing in CA (or really anywhere across the nation), and finally ended up finding a shop in MN that had one. Problem was, they couldn't ship to me because it wasn't CA compliant.

Cue, Nate.

I was given his info by another Redditor about his CA Compliance Service. Basically, "I offer middleman services for both for dealers and individuals. Whether it is breaking guns apart or adding compliance parts, I can take care of the process from start to finish." HUGE.

Purchased the gun online, had it sent to Nate, he slapped a comp mag on, shipped it to my local FFL. Started all my paperwork today.

ANOTHER $$$ ADVANTAGE (not sure if I got lucky somehow or idk): NH, where Nate is located, doesn't have sales tax, so the only additional cost when buying the Seekins online, $10 shipping. After the service charge from Nate, I still came a few hundred under what I would have paid in CA with our sales and gun tax.

Highly suggest reaching out to him for any and all needs: Wojtek Weaponry

Any idea what this vent pipe can be for?

Purchased a house at the beginning of the year and can not figure out what this vent pipe is for. Outside of our garage, sort of near a bathroom.

First OU, quick question

Snagged a Citori 825 Field, the release lever not filling lining up when assembled is normal, right? “Worn in, never out.”
Also it’s pretty stiff opening and closing with the forearm bracket installed (needs force to open, doesn’t fall open on its own). Again, normal? Forearm bracket clicks in and is flush up too but slightly not-flush on the lower.

Honestly, just rip the bandaid off, it'll all work out. (3 month old)

Maybe we got lucky x2, but for both of our kids, right around 3 months old, we just did one weekend not in the Snoo and that's all it took. I'll give some more context:

Both of our kids have March birthdays (2 years apart), and in June/July we do a weekend camping trip with our trailer, which means no Snoo. Both times, my wife and I have been pretty nervous leading up to the trip. Both kids by then had been sleeping almost all night through in the Snoo, and losing that was definitely a stressor, but...it had to be done eventually.

What we have done that has seemed to work:
- one week out, leading to the trip, started doing first nap in the Snoo, not on.
- A few days prior, first nap in Snoo, not on, arms out. (our youngest was a big swaddler where our oldest had arms out almost instantly, he hated the swaddle, so this one wasn't as big a deal for him).
- day or two before, couple naps in sleep sack, in crib, no Snoo at all. (still Snoo at night though)

When we go camping the sleep schedule/bedtimes go out the window, we'll put the kids down when we go down, usually around 9, which I think really helps this transition because they're sleep pressure is much larger which helps them bridge the gap of sleep cycles without the Snoo rocking them back to sleep.
First night, youngest slept till about 1 and I think honestly only woke up because she was cold (we use a portable bassinet for camping, btw), back to sleep after some adjustment and feeding and then slept till 4ish then back out till 7.
Second night, same routine as before, this time made sure she was warmer out the gate, and she slept till 330 and woke up for some chi-chi water.
Last night back at home, slept great! Almost all night through.

So here's my TL;DR w/ tips:
- Pick a weekend and just do it
- Prep with some naps without the Snoo
- Increase sleep pressure by having them stay up a bit longer/doing some activity, etc. Make that sleep pressure high so they are able to push through connecting their sleep cycles without the Snoo.
- Experiment with different sleep sacks (I've heard great things about the Merlin but we opted to not do it just because I know that's another thing you might have to ween off of). We went with a long sleeve sleep sack and she seems to love it.

What would you value this 16-4 at?

Picked this up from an estate my father is overseeing. The owner was a bit of prepper, in total, 200+ rifles and 60+ revolvers, not a single one shot. (Plus well over 50,000 boxes of ammunition. Took my father and I 3 months to fully sort through).

Anyways, this was one that I couldn’t pass up but just wanting to know what exactly I got my hands on (besides the obvious).

Any idea what's up with this spike?

Curious what you think happened here? Seems like a tracking error or glitch in communication. Attached the spike with some data along with a few normal days. Weird that is shows no charging or consumption or anything till the spike, almost like it was a "catchup". Just hoping I won't be billed for that excess import when we rarely import at all.

How would you landscape this?

Shed-turned-gym on the side of our house but no idea how to style it now. Can pull water easily, and hoping to leave a pathway for a lawnmower to get by (back of the shed is a little garden shed with lawnmower and some tools).
Was thinking railroad tie edging, rock with stepping stones to small seating area with potted plants all around, maybe some privets along the wall?

Idea on build costs in Central Valley, CA

Wife and I just bought a house in Clovis CA and are thinking of putting in a pool in the next couple of years (newborn and 2 year old, wanting to wait till they’re just a bit older), and idea roughly how much something like this would go for? Probably would skip the water feature if it’s an absurd add-on.
Kidney size, 14x28ish, swim/tanning deck, 6ft or so at deepest

We bought a house in November and had the roof redone then, and slowly am noticing some small things, like some shingles being raised slightly, is this something I should be concerned about and get addressed? Most lay flat and flush but there are some spots like this. They did full tear off of prior roof.
