Rear Armrest cover

Hey guys,

I have a dog who loves to stand on the rear armrests (on the backseats where the window open/close buttons are) to stick her head out the windows and she is smart enough to paw where the window open/close button is until the window is open. I just got this ioniq 6, and want to protect the rear seat armrests and was wondering if there were any covers or other fittings that are available? I've tried looking, but couldn't find any, I was hoping you guys might know?

Frequent fastcharging

Hey guys,

My company offers free fast charging but I am hesitant on using it because I've heard it greatly degrades the life of my battery. What would you guys recommend? Should I take it in to charge every day or just charge it at 30% up to 80%? Should I suck it up and use level 2 Charging at home and just pay for it myself?

Quality budget friendly NACS to CCS1 Adapters

Hey guys I just bought my first ioniq 6 and would love to see if you guys have some good recommendations for these converters. I've heard the cheap ones melt and are dangerous, but with so many brands and price points, are there any that you think are great quality, but also well worth its price?

P.S. will this allow me to use a Tesla supercharger on my ioniq?

Food Recs

Hey guys!

I am stopping through roseville, and was wondering if there was any good food recs in roseville? I would prefer something that isn't too expensive; good for lunch and good value... maybe something locals would know and love and is unique?

Comparable Value For Upgrades in Car On Total Loss

Two months ago, I bought a 2010 Toyota Prius IV with 125,000 miles. I immediately spent nearly $4,500 on major upgrades: a new hybrid battery pack, an OEM Toyota catalytic converter assembly, new sway bar links, and brand-new front tires.

I was recently in an accident and deemed not at fault. State Farm declared the vehicle a total loss. Their current valuation offer is just over $10k (including CA taxes and registration). Looking at their report screenshots, they are only allocating a flat $516 adjustment (labeled as an "engine rebuild") for the $4k+ in brand-new components (I sent them the reciepts for the $4k I spent on the car already).

The dealer comparables they used are technically within the geographic limit, but they reflect standard, un-upgraded vehicles—none have a fresh hybrid battery or new exhaust assemblies, and finding a 16 year old car with freshly upgraded items like mine are near impossible.

I am considering two routes and want to see what my best options are:

  1. Invoke the Right of Appraisal: Is it worth hiring an independent appraiser under California law (CCP § 1280) to fight the actual cash value (ACV) based on the vehicle's exceptional powertrain conditioning?
  2. Component Swapping: Can I remove my new hybrid battery and OEM catalytic converter, replace them with functional, street-legal stock components that meet CA safety/smog standards, and just let State Farm reduce my payout by that $516 line-item adjustment? Or will they completely re-evaluate and slash the total payout if they catch the swap?

Has anyone successfully navigated a powertrain refresh dispute with State Farm in California? What are my best options here? Thanks!

Which rooftop bars or lounges have the most incredible skyline views?

Hey guys! I was going to visit Chicago come November, and wanted to see if I could skip out on the $35 sears tower admission and see if there were any bars or similar places where I could capture the Chicago skyline with the purchase of food or a drink. I know the Signature Lounge (96th Floor) used to be a great suggestion, but that closed. Do any of you have any other good alternatives? Thanks!

Edit: Please LMK if there is an admission cost and walk ins are welcome :)

Booking Past Certificate Expiration

Hey guys,

I had a strange encounter where I have a few certificates expiring August (chase intro credit card free nights), but was strangely able to book for a room in November. The reservation went through online, and I have a confirmation number and booking. The total charges say FREE. Should I be worried, or as long as the reservation went through, im golden?

Thanks!
