What happened to the chocolate covered raisins?

My favorite Costco item is the chocolate covered raisins followed closely by the chocolate covered almonds. I never seen them in the warehouses anymore. What happened?

Is AI slowly changing our vocabulary?

I was intrigued by this post about Claude over using some words that annoyed people. It made me wonder how AI may be changing the way we use words and their definitions. Related to this is the avoidance of emdash and perhaps other punctuation. Any evidence of this (yet)?

Analysis tools

I’ve come to accept that my doctor only cares about my AHI number—which is now <1. While that’s a great number, I still get woken up when I stop breathing (central sleep apnea here) and the pressure on my mask 😷 blows too hard and opens a hole between masks and face, which in turn briefly wakes me up.

What are some tools that I can use to better understand my breathing patterns so I can make tweaks to my ASV settings to hopefully sleep better? I know about sleephq and I have OSCAR, but those just show me what has happened. There have been some AI products shared recently that look promising. What does the community think?

This subreddit has been very helpful, but I’d like to try on my own so I don’t have to post here every day with more info.

How to regain confidence after a crash?

Three months ago, I caught a gust of wind when going downhill at 45 mph, lost control of my bike and crashed. I had some minor injuries that prevented me from riding for two months. Could have been much worse.

Now that I'm back on the bike, I get really nervous going faster than 25 mph or even slower on unfamiliar, steep roads. Every gust of wind, no matter how small, scares me. Little jiggles in my riding also spooks me.

I still love to ride, but I don't look forward to the thrilling downhill rides that I used to love.

Any help to regain my confidence?

CPAP working well but still waking up every time I roll over.

I have an ASV machine that seems to be working quite well, I.e., AHI of nearly zero. I have the resmed airfit F40 (elephant style) mask. I fall asleep fairly quickly, but wake up every time I need to roll over. This interrupts my sleep and I still get tired too often.

I’m thinking the problem is that I get tangled in the hose, but I don’t know what to do about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I forgot to include a link to my SleepHQ data. https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/bdc0189a-6810-4181-b049-22d21ea29744

Michigan Fans in Columbus

I’ve been in Columbus this week proudly wearing my Michigan gear. I’ve received many “Go Blue!”. Sometimes they are a little subdued, but they all have been happy and relieved to have a fellow Michigan fan. Glad that we are everywhere!

I hate to admit it, but I now look forward to putting on my CPAP mask

I think I’ve finally found a mask that works for me. And now, I almost look forward to putting it on. It means I’m going to sleep well and wake up refreshed.

AirFit F30i leaking from top

I’ve been using an F30i mask, but find that it leaks out the top of the mask. This blows into my eyes and dries them out and keeps me awake.

I’m not sure how to fix this. I could tighten the mask, but that would be really tight and deform it so it would leak more.

Any suggestions on how to make this work? I generally like the mask and prefer “unicorn” hose attachments over elephant attachments.

Oh yeah, I’m a side sleeper too.

Is it worth the extra expense to have a camera embedded in head/tail light?

I'm trying to decide if I should invest in a camera for my road bike. I already have a Garmin Varia tail light with radar and I love it. I'm not sure what a camera would add. It would be great to have a video of an epic ride, or evidence of a crash. A camera wouldn't prevent a crash, just provide evidence of what happened after the fact.

Thank you to the man who stopped to help me after my bike crash

On May 9, I crashed my bike while riding down State Road 4 towards Totavi. A very kind man in his 20s stopped to help me. I have forgotten his name, I do know he had a young child in the backseat of his car. I wanted to reach out and thank him. He was the only one who stopped to help me and he waited with me until my wife could take me to the hospital. Hopefully he sees this.

Blob on end of filament prevents retraction when changing materials.

I have a MK4S with MMU3. Often when changing materials, the filament gets stuck in the nextruder with a blob on the end. What causes this and how can I prevent this from happening? I keeps my MMU from doing its job.

Today, I'm just printing a purge profile with PLA. I use a variety of filament brands and PrusaSlicer with default profiles.

How to ask questions to invite gospel discussion and sharing of testimony?

About two weeks ago, someone posted What would you LOVE to see in Sunday school lessons? I enjoyed the comments and the suggestions on how to ask good questions. I've been working on my teaching skills for many years and—while I'm improving—asking good questions is always a challenge. So, I thought I'd invite the community to suggest ways that we can all do better in asking questions.

What are some good questions to ask when teaching a class in the Church? What questions have you found that led to good comments and a stronger feeling of the Spirit in your classes?

Claude seems to agree with me too much. Makes me skeptical that I'm getting unbiased answers. How to avoid this?

Too often, in my conversations with Claude, I get something along the lines of: "You're absolutely right…" While there are many times I can see Claude's faults and call them out, I don't like how Claude seems to want to agree with me in everything. Sure, it makes me feel smart and special, but I can't trust that it isn't biased. Is there anyway to tame Claude?

Claude certainly isn't the only AI chat that has this problem.

Edit: I wanted to ask Claude this question, but—for obvious reasons—couldn't trust the response.

How competitive was the Giro?

I’ve only been watching cycling for a couple of years, so I don’t really know what I’m talking about. Please help me understand.

I know the Giro is one of the three grand tours. It seems that the really big names were not there—except for Jonas. Is that true? What does that mean for the level of competition for this tour?

Did my MIPS helmet save me from a concussion?

I was involved in a crash last weekend. Although I have some road rash and some very sore body parts, my head was pretty much unscathed. I have zero concussion symptoms; some skin rubbed off my forehead underneath my helmet. My helmet has some superficial scratches on the outside of the helmet.

Was I saved by my helmet? Is "helmet rash" a thing in situations like this?

Edit: Thanks to all the responses. I don't know how hard I hit my head, butI am planning on replacing the helmet anyway. I was just curious what a "MIPS save" would look like. Seems reasonable to assume that it could have virtually no major defects, but rub my skin off anyway.

Why does my MMU3 make this sound?

Another question as I try to make my MMU (attached to MK4S) more reliable. Thanks again to the community for your assistance.

My MMU3 often makes this sound when loading filament. Sometimes it gets through it and everything works, usually it get stuck somewhere.

I’ve tried tightening/loosening the tension screws and haven’t found that to make much of a difference. The pulleys are clean too.

Two weeks ago I posted about my frustrations with the MMU3 and how I was ready to give up on it. I've made some adjustments to reduce the friction and set appropriate tension on the printer. Things have improved.

My biggest problem now is loading the filament. The filament doesn't line up with holes in the pulley body so it either gets jammed or pokes up as shown in the picture.

P.S. This is attached to my MK4S with the Prusa enclosure.
