Because golf…is hard.

2 round Club Championship (I’m a 15.0 handicap so no chance) but there’s a net prize too. Shot 87, net 71, yesterday putting me in 5th place out of nearly 60 players. Today I shoot 101, net 85 with a 9 off the first (2 in the lake, luckily one curved enough to allow me to ratio rather than play 5 off the tee). When I strike the ball it’s as good as anyone, but the consistency is just…way off. I probably had one solid hole on Sat, every other hole I hit one bad shot be scrambled well. Today…I probably hit 2 bad shots per hole :-)

Consoling myself with a glass of wine now and can’t wait to get back out there :-D

Any pubs showing the F1 in Cambridge tomorrow?

Anyone know if any central Cambridge pubs are showing the F1 qualifying tomorrow?

Who’s got Open tickets? When are you going, what are your plans?

I’ve got a ticket for the practice round on Wednesday, and the final round on Sunday. I’m heading over on Tuesday so I can be there early on Wednesday. I might stay up until Sunday and play some golf if I can find somewhere not too silly price wise (I’ll be checking the other thread for options)

Almost shooting under the temperature!

Front 9 at The Cambridgeshire this morning…I’ve been shooting 45s regularly on here for a good 6 weeks. No idea where this one came from (15.2 handicap btw), and I’m still annoyed that I got two doubles :-)

I’ve often heard about people talking about shooting a score under their age, but what about shooting under the temperature (for 9 holes obvs)

Damn it was hot out there though!

Why can’t I alter the max charge on my MG4 from the dashboard?

I’ve seen videos on YouTube and elsewhere that you should be able to alter the max charge of the car on the dashboard, but I just can’t get it to work. I can only alter it using the app.

Is this related to the software version on the car?

This is on the MG4 long range edition

UK Support for launch monitors

I’m currently in the initial planning stages of a simulator build in the UK, probably including a cabin from Tekden as we don’t have anywhere to convert inside the house.

I’ve got a requirement list for the actual launch monitor, but having see a few other threads I was wondering which brand has the best, and worst, customer support in the UK? The last thing I want to do is spend £5k+ on a device, have an issue with it and be unable to get it fixed or have to ship something back to the US.

Diagnostics or recalibration following a bird attack...

I have a Mini 4 Pro, and while lying it yesterday preparing a waypoint flight things got weird.

The drone suddenly tilted violently and I got an on screen warning that the gimbal had reached it's limit, followed by some warnings about the propulsion system reaching max power (I think)

My first thought was that I'd clipped the tree I was flying near, but the movement continued, the drone picture showing rotated well beyond 90º but still moving through/over the tree, and them pointing straight down over a river (uh oh!!!)

After about 30 seconds of trying to tilt and steer the drone (it's now gone behind the large tree it was near so is out of sight) the picture levelled off and was stable, but the drone had moved several hundred meters away from where I'd last seen it. I reorientated the drone and myself and flew it straight back to me without further incident.

However, when hovering the drone now turns slowly to the left....

I'm assuming that it was attacked by a bird, and the warning about the propulsion being maxed out was one or more of the rotors getting jammed either against the attacking bird or perhaps the tree, and that it could have damaged it leaving it out of sync with the others and therefore causing the drift.

Is there any kist of diagnostics or recalibration I can perform so that the drone can successfully hover in a straight and stable way again?

Without rose tinted glasses, Pete and Paige are overrated?!?

Another nostalga tour with the Bella twins and Paige holding titles out of the blue, and in matches with any of the current crop of talent they look out of their depth and several steps behind. I missed watching WWE for several years. I don’t have the nostalga of seeing some Divas come back. They just look like they’re dragging what was becoming an excellent division backwards.

Brock ‘em in for some highspots and interference, but giving them the titles…nah

Edit: Brie ffs, not Pete! #autocorrect

I really hope the Clonehausen story keeps on running

Clone V1…a Minihausen.

Danhausen tries again for whatever match is next and gets someone bigger, but still under a Danhausen mask…maybe Axiom??

Next time Danhausen tries again and just keep rolling larger and larger stars in as his partner…always have them under a mask, never travels who it is even though everyone knows.

Yes, I know it’s been done with El Grande Americano, but it worked and that’s winding down.

Who wouldn’t want to see the clone become Cenahausen, Codyhausen? Romanhausen? Femihausen?

And obviously, eventually…Jerichohausen ;-)

Just a very up and down day including a 10 and some rather wild tee short. Decided to play safe on the 18th with a bit of a tail wind, about 10yrds according to Arccos. Best strike of the day, right out the middle, lovely gentle draw but thought I’d put it in the bunker. Walked down and see a ball middle of the fairway short of the green, and it’s mine! Wowzers! I have witnesses ;-)

Obviously given the rest of the round the wedge I hit that I thought was perfect skipped on to just hold the green but left me with a 50ft putt. Knocked that to about 6ft then missed the putt for a bogey.

I really need to get my tee shots sorted!
