On the show it’s been talked about how Ping and Owens have history. THe YT vids have been gushing about how this could be a feud for the ages if they’re allowed the proper promos freedom…but I missed a ton of WWE in the 2010’s. Clue me in on what went on, what the beef/issues between them is. A link to YT or a web page, or just a paragraph or two?
Given what happened at night one of Summerslam, and his seeming abandonment of The Vision, what’s next for the on-screen Paul Heyman character?
I can’t see him going back to Punk, and Punk doesn’t need him unless he turns heel, and even though Brock passed the torch to Oba, I don’t see Oba needing him either.
I’d really like to see Bron wreck Theory and Logan and have Heyman show up, nod and say “about time” or something similar and take him back under his wing. Maybe this could coincide with the return of Bronson Reed…Manager talent and bodyguard, obviously leading to the Shawn/Diesel type feud down the line and Heyman double crossing Bron.
Played 9 holes this morning as normal, but as the course was fairly quiet I also tried stage one of Operation 36: https://www.reddit.com/r/BobDoesSports/s/A6FqAUUvPE
In short, drop a ball 25yrds from the pin over 9 holes, try to break 36 shots total. I managed 24 today.
Once you break 36, move back to 50yrds and try again, and repeat.
I guess it’s designed as a way to get new players into the game, but it was a really interesting short game practice session. On some holes 25yrds might be a 50/50 fairway/green split, but on one hole I was almost putting from there. On two others the flag was right at the front of the green so I’m basically short sided and playing a bump-n-run to try and trickle onto the green.
Think I’m going to have to film it for my YT channel…and I’m looking forward to seeing how far back I can get before I fail to break 36 on the first go :-)
I live in Cambridge. I was lucky enough to manage to order one of the Bomber One Irons last week. I got a shipping notification last night and it says it’s being shipped from Cambridge, to Cambridge?!? Right now it’s at the DHL hub in Huntingdon just down the road…I could have gone and collected it?!?
Edit: looks like it was a tracking glitch. The shipping label on the box when it arrived said it came from Ipswich

Pretty busy already, but people are flowing nicely in and out of the 9th green and first tee grandstand’s.
No real wind to speak of atm, and a few people are trying to cut the corner on the first already.
Gonna chill in the first tee grandstand and wait for Rory’s round to start ;-)
My spare Sunday ticket has been on the official resale site for a couple of weeks and hasn’t sold yet…which I’m kinda surprised about.

Played Formby Ladies today. Loved the course, and it was in great condition all the way round…but I managed to lose 6 balls and shoot +20, same as I shot at Caldy yesterday, but I only get 10 shots at Formby!
Getting off the fairway and into the heather is brutal. I only found one ball I hit in there all day. My game somewhat collapsing in the middle didn’t help wither. Hooked a 5-iron and a 7-iron left into the heather and never saw them again. The 4-iron stinger I tried to hit under the wind was probably a bit ambitious, got itself into the heather too and was never seen again.
Got to the 18th with a bit of a tailwind (10mph??) and had zero f**ks left, so pulled the big stick to try and drive the 348yrd green. Slight pull…think if it were straight it might have just crept onto the front edge. I think that’s easily the longest drive I’ve recorded in the 2 years I’ve been using Arccos :-)
Didn’t know when I booked it that it was an Open qualifying venue. Played from the yellows and it’s still a good test. The 8 holes overlooking the sea are especially nice.
Decent front 9, but the heat and pace of play dragged me down a bit on the back. Lovely course. Strong recommend

TM have just dropped a new shadow, I guess, version of their UDI Bomber iron on the US site. Anyone got any idea how long after that they typically release to the UK store?
Just wondering if they did the same with the R7 quad mini driver for example?
While playing in a Swindle yesterday, one of my playing partners remarked that using my pitch mark repair tool as a ball marker would be a penalty…if we were playing seriously.
To clarify. When marking my ball to clean or adjust the line, I stab my pitch mark repair tool into the ground behind the ball. If it’s near someone’s line or likely to be in the way if they overshoot, I use the more traditional flat magnetic marker in the tool.
Their reasoning, as they were apparently told, was that I could be considered to be “testing the green”.
I’ve seen mixed messages about cleaning your ball by wiping it on the green could be considered testing, but I can’t find anything in the rules about my use it the pitch mark repair tool.
Anyone know either way?
Now don’t get me wrong. I love hitting the boom boom stick, and when it works it’s a thing of beauty…but
14th here. 296yrd Driver uphill. Pushed a 7-iron uphill into the bunker. Mediocre bunker shot, chip and 2 putts for a 6.
18th…10mph tailwind and obviously hard running fairways, but a 278yrd 4-iron. Yikes! Then pulled an easy 8-iron into the bunker and walked off with a par.
Drive for show…you know the rest ;-)
Worth a mention in case anyone who missed the draw still wants to go, that there are still tickets available for The Open. I put a Sunday ticket up on their resale platform last week and it's still there.
2 round Club Championship (I’m a 15.0 handicap so no chance) but there’s a net prize too. Shot 87, net 71, yesterday putting me in 5th place out of nearly 60 players. Today I shoot 101, net 85 with a 9 off the first (2 in the lake, luckily one curved enough to allow me to ratio rather than play 5 off the tee). When I strike the ball it’s as good as anyone, but the consistency is just…way off. I probably had one solid hole on Sat, every other hole I hit one bad shot be scrambled well. Today…I probably hit 2 bad shots per hole :-)
Consoling myself with a glass of wine now and can’t wait to get back out there :-D
Anyone know if any central Cambridge pubs are showing the F1 qualifying tomorrow?
I’ve got a ticket for the practice round on Wednesday, and the final round on Sunday. I’m heading over on Tuesday so I can be there early on Wednesday. I might stay up until Sunday and play some golf if I can find somewhere not too silly price wise (I’ll be checking the other thread for options)
Front 9 at The Cambridgeshire this morning…I’ve been shooting 45s regularly on here for a good 6 weeks. No idea where this one came from (15.2 handicap btw), and I’m still annoyed that I got two doubles :-)
I’ve often heard about people talking about shooting a score under their age, but what about shooting under the temperature (for 9 holes obvs)

I’ve seen videos on YouTube and elsewhere that you should be able to alter the max charge of the car on the dashboard, but I just can’t get it to work. I can only alter it using the app.
Is this related to the software version on the car?

I’m currently in the initial planning stages of a simulator build in the UK, probably including a cabin from Tekden as we don’t have anywhere to convert inside the house.
I’ve got a requirement list for the actual launch monitor, but having see a few other threads I was wondering which brand has the best, and worst, customer support in the UK? The last thing I want to do is spend £5k+ on a device, have an issue with it and be unable to get it fixed or have to ship something back to the US.
