Any Other Dyslexic Authors?

I'm currently in the process of developing a book series. It's a very important personal story to me that I want to get out there, as silly as that might sound.

I've been really struggling with writing the first draft. I have dyslexia and I take medication that makes it harder for me to process language, like to think of how to phrase things.

Any of y'all struggle with this? If so, please give me some advice! I've been considering using a speech to text program, but I still struggle with verbal language. I'm anti-LLM, please don't recommend anything to do with that!

For reference on how much I struggle, this small post took me about 30 minutes to write.

panic attacks when bf goes to work

i had a panic attack this morning when he went to go to work. i yelled at him and thought he didn’t love me, i just texted him to apologize. i don’t know how to navigate this. i feel like i become delusional, it genuinely felt like a personal betrayal he was committing at the time. i’m scared i’m never gonna get better from this.

good responses to “but you haven’t complained about pain in awhile?”

i have ehler-danlos syndrome and it causes severe pain. i put in an active effort to avoid doing things that causes me pain, like standing, walking, chores, etc. when im avoiding painful tasks, my parents say im lazy. when do the task but say im in pain, they’ll go “i thought you were over that, you haven’t complained about pain in so long!” how do i get them to understand that ive been having less pain BECAUSE im avoiding it and my disability is never gonna just disappear?? i feel like i can never win with them. do i just let them believe im lazy?

i was clean since 13

i used to have a really bad self-harm addiction when i was 12. i’m 22 now and just relapsed without even noticing. i was clean for 9 years, managed to resist every urge. but i’m recovering from a domestic violence situation and it’s been really rough on my mental health. i know it get worse before it gets better, but i didn’t think i would self harm again. it feels like i wasted 9 years being clean just to throw it away. i don’t want to describe anything graphic, but i used to pick wounds so they couldn’t heal and i just caught myself doing it again. i had an awful depression episode yesterday so i’ve been emotionally exhausted and dissociated today, i did it without even thinking. where do i go from here?? i feel pathetic. i don’t want this to happen again but im panicking

deleted tiktok a week ago

i’ve had depression since i was like 12, but it’s been awful lately. i’m going through a really rough patch for awhile it seems like. i was in an abusive relationship for 3 years and i left him in december, im unemployed and can’t find a job, dont have friends, forced to move in short periods of time, just going through a lot constantly it feels like. it was getting to the point i was constantly thinking about relapsing or committing. but i also had a bad tiktok addiction. like id have 6-10 hours on it on days i was free. i uninstalled it last weekend and i feel like it changed everything. i feel like my issues are manageable now and not as overwhelming. i’m not crying constantly and im not stressed all the time. i don’t feel disgusted with myself and ive been able to socialize better. ive been able to think and do hobbies. i even feel silly for wanting to relapse or commit so badly before. i’ve been able to take a step back and breathe it feels like. even my partner commented that i seem a lot less irritable and overwhelmed lately

first steps?

so i’m 22f chronically ill and medically complex. i was diagnosed with an assortment of issues as a kid including ehlers danlos syndrome, celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, and i can’t even start on the mental illnesses i have. ive been agoraphobic since middle school when i started skipping just so i wouldn’t have to leave my room. i eventually dropped out of school and basically disappeared from society and my family’s life. i know i need professional help but every professional in the past i cant bring myself to consistently reschedule. i dont know whats wrong with me, i just cant talk to people. it’s more than anxiety it’s like i completely freeze up. how do i get better if im struggling to see professionals?

I'm stuck

Sorry if it's the wrong flair, im new reddit and find a lot of this very un-intuitive. This is my first time trying painting, I normally just sketch. I reach a point where i enjoy the gesture and dont want to add more deatil to ruin it, if that makes sense. I feel like a baby thrown in the ocean, its been a learning curve. This doesn't look like much, but I've been struggling with where to go next. I know I just add more detail, but everything I try looks wrong. Is it the refrence photo? Do I just need to trust the process? Should I start practicing with something simpler? I'm painting a horse cuz theyre all I sketch so I thought It'd be easier, but maybe I was wrong
