How bad is ranged top really

As an ADC we suffer the same issues with those dirty mages in the botlane. How bad are ranged tops in the top lane, I play a decent amount of top lane myself, I play Gwen top (69% winrate btw), and I’ve never really struggled with ranged THAT much.

In botlane it’s like the mages will make the lane completely unplayable, you can’t trade with them, they’ll poke you out, you can’t farm under tower, you’ll be down like atleast 60 cs. They can perma push every wave and you can’t do anything to contest it. Mid to late game they completely out range you in team fights and make it almost impossible for you to play against them. You’ll be constantly chunked out while trying to get the midlane wave. Ya know

Edit: explain how bad ranged top is to me, since I play Gwen idk

Mages (genuine question)

What is the downside of picking a mage bot, is there none with the right team comps.

Dive comps: they have enough range to follow up and tons of aoe to help with the dive.

Pick/poke comps: it’s a pick comp obviously mages would be good

Front to back: they should have enough damage most of the time and they are very safe especially with strong frontline so they can dish out their damage from Brazil

All I can think of is mages being bad into tanks, but even then a lot of them have so much damage a couple rotations of abilities and they can kill them. Plus poke/pick is normally really good into strong front to back comps

macro isn't everything

Hey guys, I know a lot of people just watch tons and tons of content to get better at the game, and there is a trend I see which is honestly pretty detrimental to a person's growth. Macro being king, now macro is very important but here is the thing, if you can't ever kill the enemy it doesn't matter how good your macro is.

if you make a good baron call, but get wiped cuz you couldn't play the fight, your macro doesn't matter. I just had a game where I had a gold 3 toplaner in my emerald game, who doesn't play ranked and had a grand total of 1 win this season and bro plays aram instead.

I played macro well in the late game and was able to keep this shit storm at bay, I had just as much gold as the 21 kill enemy top laner at the end. Here is the issue, I died a lot in the skirmishes because of my inability to play the teamfights super well, to space the irelia, at the end irelia messed up but I got too excited going melee range with my calibrum stacks where I got flash ulted by malz and died. I couldn't carry when this should have be a free win if I played the late game well, I believe we had a kind of decent pick comp this game, and their divers are too squishy and I could have just melted them.

Take some time to really improve your execution, this is def something I need to work on more, because no matter how much gold is on me its kinda useless if I can't dish out damage.

this is the game btw

To all low elo sups

Yo, low elo supports why do you guys take your adcs waves? Even your mid laners waves, just waves in general.

I’m an emerald adc main and generally supports are actually quite nice, they can int but they’ll hold waves for you die for you, try and peel you.

However, when I went on my smurf account which is like silver 3 rn with high silver / low gold mmr supports just take all your waves why do yall do this. It’s like instantly noticeable, makes me kinda appreciate the supports I have in my own elo, all the love to yall.

Some examples, lux supports using e and ult to clear the wave, brand supports just walking up taking your mid wave. Once I was playing mid and me and the adc swapped, the support stayed bot (first tower was already taken), and he just started taking the waves. This is normally to your detriment as well because if im not trying to take the wave it’s not safe, yall walk up and try and farm it anyways.

It’s not because of the skill of your adc atleast I think I’m kinda decent. I try not to play champs I’m really bad at so I dont just completely ruin the games for everyone but still not enough to make me a bad player.

If you want all these resources why don’t you just play mid or just take your mage pick and be the adc

Low mass

Is it just me or does the low mass in specific feel super duper special. Though I haven’t had the chance to go to a TLM, will soon God willing.

As Byzantine Catholic and from what I observe this is kind of what I feel like the vibe of everything is

Divine Liturgy: joining celebration of the angels(mostly)
Low/high mass: Solemn sacrifice and an alter to the lord
Novus Ordo: celebration of Jesus and his sacrifice (mostly)

The low mass specifically I feel like embodies this solemnness so much. It’s quiet, beautiful, and it feels like cool idk how to describe it from all the vids I’ve seen. The more I think of it the more amazing it sounds going to church, being completely silent, being deep in prayer with my chotki or rosary using a prayer book or whatever, and hearing the bell and just watching the Eucharist be consecrated.

I had some TLM friends told me they don’t like the low mass but between watching them (not in person), the low mass just seems so special to me and the culture behind it. It’s kind of what I expected a Roman Catholic mass to look like before I was Catholic. Is this common opinion or no 😭

Can’t win games

Account: kabyking#kaby I’m in NA

Title sounds stupid lol. Some context, my main champion pool has always been Aphelios Caitlyn and kaisa, normally I play kaisa more then cait as well, but this season it was the opposite. But recently I deadass cannot win a game on her, I’ve been having to play her less. I’m in emerald rn, but every game I feel like I’ll just eventually get out scaled, or it’s impossible for me to teamfight and get damage off. Dusk and dawn damage feels bad but nashor doesn’t feel amazing either. Even with somewhat decent lead I feel like I’m just ganna fall off and lose. What should I do.

you don't need a high winrate to climb

Hey, this season I started silver 4, and now I am emerald 4 really close to emerald 3. This was a screenshot I took earlier in the year. I only have a 52% winrate this season. I know I have a stupid amount of games but that is because I was hardstuck plat for a while. It is possible to climb, and climb very very far with a barely positive winrate, you mmr will get better as you win more often don't worry. Just focus on getting better.

EDIT: you only need a couple games to climb into the next rank. When I finally hit emerald I started the day at p2 like 5 lp and ended emerald 23 lp. You’ll be hardstuck for a while but once you improve enough you will break past your rank. Don’t think you need a super high winter to climb, once you get better the LP will follow

Bush bug

Yo what’s up with the bush bug where you just lose your headshot. It’s happening to me way too often, I’ve lost kills in lane because of it. Am I just not allowed to use my kit anymore and play in bushes, will riot ever patch this it’s been in the game for multiple multiple patches.

new red kayn build?

Hey recently on red kayn I've been running

hubris -> endless hunger -> shojin/cleaver -> shojin/cleaver -> final item (probably just steraks) using the healing boots of course.

Idk how good it is, out of all the kayn builds I've tried this felt the best, I feel powerful and I do a bunch of damage. It feels like you actually scale, especially if you are snowballing, last game I had like 70 extra ad from hubris.

how are the working conditions in 2026

Hey, I'm not really into game dev (like designing a game and making one in an engine), but I am really into graphics and engine development. I'm working on an engine myself slow and steadily, but I'm wondering if you did pursue game dev as competitive as it is, is the working conditions still really bad. From what I remember before I entered college, the job was way way harder than a normal swe job, the hours are normal or really bad near a release, lots of layoffs after a project is completed, and the pay wasn't great (compared to other engineering roles). Is this still the case.

Strongest protagonist

Now that we have a bunch of souls games and more fleshed out lore, who is the strongest. I’ve only played ds1,ds3,sekiro,ER, and nightreign and this is what I personally think.

  1. Hunter from bloodborne
  2. Tarnished
  3. Night farers
  4. Ashen one
  5. Chosen undead
  6. Wolf

Idk anything about demon souls or ds2 but I feel like the hunter is the strongest because I heard he kills outer gods in bloodborne. In Elden Ring we are killing Gods and they get their power from outer gods so I can’t imagine how strong they are. I don’t think you fight anything to the level of Elden Ring in the dark souls game. But I don’t actually know how strong slave knight Gael, and midir is an everlasting dragon descendant so who knows. I put night farers high cuz ya know nameless king is just a night 2 boss that’s literally my only reason 😭. I don’t think they should be counted though ngl cuz it’s not really a game that’s supposed to be like that

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, Christ is risen from the dead, by death he trampled death, and those in the tombs he granted life.

I was in bed lazying around all day and I kept having these impure thoughts, I kept getting attacked. I couldn’t stop them, the more I resisted the harder they came, I even slipped without being in my higher faculties and for a second started impurely daydreaming. I had this thought like I’m probably ganna end up falling and mortally sinning, then I realized, CHRIST IS RISEN.

I realized no I didn’t have to sin, especially mortally sin. I may fall but I can chose to never purposely reject Jesus, and it felt like all the thoughts went away. The more I think about it the more happy I get, the demons must be malding. Every mass and Divine Liturgy we literally get to receive HIS BODY AND BLOOD. Stay strong, rely on Christ because I realize I could never do this alone. I couldn’t even control my temptations until I got chrismated.

Imagine this OI

- FL is a slave owner like Penelope
- the ML is Cezar
- plot of first half of what it means to be you
- ending of I Belong to House Castielo
- the Art is the second half of Justice for the villainess
