My Varis FK8 that I picked up used and has a series of being neglected and hack jobs all over the car inside and out, had what we suspect is a spun main bearing. New oem replacement for the K20C1s are outrageously expensive here in Canada so I am leaning towards going the route of a 4piston racing forged bottom end and maybe slapping in some cams in the head and going from there etc
My main question is. Are 4P engines reliable ? My only views of them are from Mike burrows k swapped Ferrari and it seems like he had constant issues with them which is why I’m kinda weary on spending about 10K CAD for one
Car is basically a summer car that gets tracks casually (but hard) and does summer road trips and everything else I can do with it
Anyone have any direct experience with them in terms of reliability and performance? I’ve never done the built engine route with any of my cars so I’m just trying to see what I’m getting myself into here

Should mention I plan on being a respectful 500-600whp on 94 pump gas, maybe set it up for E85 but it’s not easily available to me, @utilizing a G25-770 with supporting mods and such in case someone is going to ask
This really seems to be the biggest hurdle for me, since beginning of the year, I’ve essentially doubled my following, I believe I was at around 170ish subs on Jan 1, and now sitting at 339, and I’m happy with the growth I’ve had this year as doubling your sub count in 6 months is a great task, but ever since I’ve hit 300 subs, it seems like it’s such a grind to get sub now, I used to get 1-4 subs per short and like 10+ per long video but now it seems impossible to even get a single sub. I’ve looked up a few things and it seems this threshold is the hardest hurdle before 1K subs. Not really looking for sympathy just kinda venting as I’ve been absolutely grinding and I had a goal of hitting 500 subs before end of summer and before it seemed super doable until I hit 330 subs and then my growth just seemed to stop instantly even though I’m staying consistent with shorts and long form videos
So I currently have a hero 11 black that I love but I’m looking to upgrade my camera and use my 11 as a secondary camera, is the mission 1 worth the upgrade? I do car content on YouTube if that helps, I utilize DJI external mic’s that I need a receiver to utilize on my 11 but hear I don’t need one with the 13?

So I’m a avid and lifelong Apple user. Looking to finally upgrade my maxed out 2015 15” MBP, and I’m stuck on a optioned out 13” M5 MBP with options like 24gbs of ram, and 1TB storage, or a MacBook Air with very similar specs but a wildly different price point
For context, I will mainly be using it as a station to edit video, make music using ableton, and putting together DJ sets using rekordbox. My ‘15 MBP still functions and does great except it’s getting to the point where I can’t update anything anymore and would like some newer programs such as DaVinci for video editing and not have any issues with rekordbox on the new CDJs. I would like to utilize a external monitor is that makes a difference

Is nano texture worth it? I don’t do much stuff outside minus the odd wedding or something while DJing and will prob 95% be used indoors
So I’ve been having to daily my Evo X since my fk8 has been in the shop a lot longer than we anticipated. And let me tell you, I gotta fill this fucking thing up every second god damn day. Every second day, without fail another $50-$70 in the tank just to get to work and back. It’s loud, the stereo sucks, it rides rough, all the things you want in a race car, but god I can’t wait till my fk8 is back (praying this week) cause I have anxiety with how much this is costing me and my commute

I forgot to mention to most important part. The float on my fuel level doesn’t function properly so it won’t go down and show me proper level below just under 1/4 tank, so I keep my eye on the mileage on each tank
So my car came with some older recaro RS-Gs and some whatever branded side mount seat rails. Would like to sit lower as they seem to sit nearly at oem height, seat is as low as it can go currently, and the closer to the floor I can sit the better.
Made a new video where I dive into replacing my front brake lines and realizing parts for these cars aren’t as available as they used to be, and working on a 11 year old car isn’t as fun as the internet makes it out to be.

Been driving this again (even with my worn clutch) cause my fk8 is getting the Varis bumper replaced and some shit the PO left for me to find, but man I love driving this thing again, wish I could give it 100-% the beans but I can’t
So my gf has been cleaning the litter box in the bathtub for a while now against my wishes, and now I have a clogged bathtub drain, I’ve removed the plug to get better access with a snake and not having any luck, even took off overflow cap but can’t seem to get far enough down to do anything . Is there some sort of chemical I can pour down the drain to dissolve the silica ?
