Do you think Horses by Brian Fallon is (kind of ) a Christian song?
I love this song. Here it is if you haven't heard it. It's a song about love, redemption, and imo an afterlife where he and his loved one will be free or maybe just a future where they let go of regrets.
Anyway, "Maybe it was planned when the angels spoke your name into existence" is obviously religious imagery but the lyrics I'm wondering about are:
>There is time to be redeemed
Any lie you told can be forgiven
If you love enough to believe
Is this about Christianity? Of course, this doesn't have to be religious. In fact the song says "And in our love we find forgiveness" which comes after lyrics about finding his loved one, so if forgiveness comes from earthly love, then "love enough to believe" could be secular.
But he's Christian and it also sounds a lot like the way Christians talk about faith and loving God.
I dunno, just kinda wondering about it. This song makes me cry. I just don't vibe with any Jesus-y bit but also that's fine because it can mean more than one thing.
