Just found out I have a Acinetobacter baumannii complex uti. Im on bactrim for 2 weeks. Has anyone else taken their shot while on strong anti biotic? This is a rare bacteria so I dont expect anyone to relate to this one specifically but maybe to bactrim or just a stubborn uti. I was due monday today's wednesday so I did skip a few days lmk if I should just wait it out this week or the full 2 weeks.

Last year, around 14 months ago, I had an ultrasound done at the er and in my obgyn office when I had a loss and its on no reports and I dont see anything in my scan pictures but im not a professional. I specifically remember the doctor last year saying my uterus was completely empty besides some blood as well.

My periods are very light and virtually painless this past period was heavier but I started taking baby aspirin 2x a day post surgery 3 months ago and that can cause heavier bleeding. Coincidentally I have a pelvic ultrasound scheduled for monday because I thought my uti was uterine related but its not. I was going to cancel now it seems like I should go and address this.

Does this bar me from conceiving I literally feel hopeless...? I just started trying again this month is attempt number 2 post surgery and injury.

Went to the doctor last friday thinking I had an ovarian cyst did a urine dipstick it was clean. The culture done over the weekend came back with "10,000-50,000 cfu/mL Acinetobacter baumannii complexThe following organisms are included in the Acinetobacter baumannii complex: A. calcoaceticus, A. lactucae, A. pittii, A. baumannii/nosocomialis group."

They called me yesterday to come in ASAP for a shot of rocephin. Its worth mentioning i dont have access to a susceptibility report so idk if one was done. Since then, 26 hours ago, ive had an increase in urethra pain which started about 2 days ago and some pressure on my side now. On top of those the symptoms I already had were feeling like my bladder was full and urgently having to go often and pressure near my ovary which is gone now.

Does anyone have experience with this weird bacteria idk how I got it unless I picked it up during my pt sessions or its been sitting and waiting since I had surgery in May. From what im seeing the shot I got is probably useless. Im currently waiting for a call back from my doctor since when I called earlier the front desk couldn't get in touch with her. Hoping I dont need to go to the er and sit there for 10 hours but also maybe they'll separate patient zero? 😭

Prior to this i never had uti symptoms they usually fester until they hit my kidneys then I have problems. Ive only actually been treated once for a uti the rest have been kidney infections so im so worried im about to randomly get hit with that pain.

I just went to the doctor and they ran some basic blood work because I wasnt feeling good. Its not the amount I normally get every 3 months but its enough ig.

Basically my vitamin D is low it always is I take supplements with magnesium and sit outside and I dont eat dairy or fish. I even used to take a prescription dose once a week and my numbers were still low. What else can I do to help this?

My cholesterol is high, the doctor i saw who was not my normal doctor said to eat low fat high fiber. Cool totally get it except I already do that. My nornal doctor had me on medication before as my paternal side all has high cholesterol and I used to be a vegetarian with high cholesterol. I will try being suuuuuper strict on this diet. Ive already cut out meat and replaced it with beans and Lentils. Does high cholesterol lower my chances greatly??

Unrelated to my blood test but i apparently have a uti with an aggressive weird bacteria. Im due to ovulate in 2 weeks. I received an anti biotic shot yesterday what are the odds im unsuccessful because of this infection and treatment?

My thyroid numbers are perfect right now i thought that was gonna be my main problem. Why does this have to be so hard 😭. Next month I meet with my obgyn to discuss medication but my appointment is labeled as a well women appointment shpuld i call and be like wtf thats not what I called about? Because I specifically said on the phone "last year when I had a mc the doctor who saw me said after a year I could come back in and discuss medicated cycles or more intervention. I want to discuss medication like letrozole." The lady acted like she had no idea what i was talking about are gynecologist pointless unless you're pregnant? I dont have health insurance to cover costs at a local fertility clinic yet im shopping around but im not seeing a section on the websites that explains fertility benefits. Im in maryland so they shpuld have coverage.

27 F 5 4 260 non smoking. Went to the dr last week for what i thought was an ovarian cyst over the weekend they cultured my urine and this came back: 10,000-50,000 cfu/mL Acinetobacter baumannii complex.

They told me to come in today for rocephin shot i did. Its been 8 hours i started having SOME occasional flank pain and some more urethra pain today. Should this go away? I was given no prescription or told to come back.

Side note I literally have no idea how I got this bacteria?? Last time I was in the hospital was surgery 3 months ago. Didn't talk to the doctor just got my shot and was sent on my way.

My trip is in a few weeks what are some apps that make getting around and finding cool places better? Example is Uber or something gonna matter? Taking the tube most of the time obviously. Do we need a bathroom app like SF 🤣. Best websites/apps for booking things to do.

Just looking for tips that may have squeezed through the cracks. Unconventional advice nothing nasty and rude.

I had surgery 2 months ago I still cant walk much so im coming with a wheelchair and a walking boot. I also take baby aspirin to prevent clotting but I know this shouldn't be a problem. I already had my ticket updated so they know I have a wheelchair.

I see my doctor 2 days before my flight should i get a note? I could leave the walking boot at home since I really dont plan to walk at all. I mean I literally cant go more than 10 steps unassisted anyway so no point if it'll be an issue I just thought it would help with compression and swelling on the plane along with compression socks ofc.

Currently cd 11 my lh went from .08 last night .12 this morning to .22 this evening- typically my lh doesnt rise til cd 25-30, im working on shortening my cycles from 42 days. Bringing that up because idk if this pressure is normal follicle growth or ovulation related. Im also having some cramps.

Last month was my first positive lh test in a year so I dont have much to go on in terms of symptoms. im doing a lot to change my cycles so theyre shorter so maybe its possible if this is related to ovulation that what im doing is working really well. This cycle from cd7 the last day of my period ive had some pressure on that left ovary area. My period was heavier than normal but I am taking baby aspirin every single day 2x a day bc I had surgery recently and that can increase period bleeding.

Ive also never had a problematic cyst so idk how those feel

Side note I have an apt in a month with my obgyn to discuss medicated cycles since ive been trying for a year and a half so if this should seem concerning I will bring it up then. And ik I should go to a fertility clinic but im shopping insurance rn since in md I can get some of the cost covered but I dont have any with my current plan. my obgyn said they'd start me on medication after a year i just refused to believe I couldn't do it on my own and waited.

I just hit a little over 1 month on reta from week 3-4 I gained some weight back so now im only down 5 pounds from my start. I take 1mg should I take 1.5mg or 2mg next week or should I take .5 or 1mg a second day of the week? Not sure when yall usually start this 2x a week schedule.

Im only asking about a second day because it seems the last 2 days I start getting hungry again and I stop losing weight and will gain a pound back. Also usually by this point in my shot I will be down a pound or 2 and im actually up another pound 🫠.

My sister wants to move on from her baby dad im trying to give her some advice in spotting good men and creating boundaries and expectations. I thought it would be fun to invite her and my single friend, whos been single for her whole life cause she genuinely likes being alone but also has 10 half siblings 3 of which have baby dad drama and id be curious to see her viewpoint on this, to have a girls night and come up with a list. Kind of like manifestation and affirmations. Ive been with my boyfriend who was responsive to my strict program from day 1for 2 years so here's what my boundaries were from the second I met any man that asked me out some of which i told them about like the intimacy stuff:

3 dates and you can start really paying attention to what they say and talking about yourself and your private life this includes texting about it, why repeat yourself over and over and over because you have to start over after a first date doesnt lead to a second.

6 dates in monogamy confirmed, 3 months in relationship expectation should be met this is when I started to let my guard down as well

3 months until kissing/intimacy, hugging or cuddling at a movie or something is fine before this. If they arent ok hearing this rule the trash takes itself out.

From date 1 double down on expectations, hey are you still happy with how things are going do we have the same long term goal with seeing eachother etc.

My requirements were a little mixed up as I was in a rough place in life and I didnt want to be a hypocrite ig but: job $25+, car, own place or could easily get one, no kids, talked consistently, responsive to anxieties i brought up (like with my boyfriend he was very vague when he talked about anything I later found out from his mom it was because his ex girlfriend would twist his words around and start fights if he over explained so he started being vague), social media boundaries not being a big deal to them. Open phones, I know this may sound crazy but why not up until the mid 2000s we all shared the same phones and computers we do have our own and own socials its just if his phone is there and mine is on the charger im gonna take his we dont go checking phones if that makes sense.

Im not asking for judgement on my strategies i did these with my boyfriend and we've been together for 2 years and are planning on ivf next month and a Vegas wedding next year hes literally perfect because the trash took itself out once they heard my rules. Ive had pcos diagnosed since I was 17 its been 10 years half of which was spent with periods I couldn't stand up during heavy bleeding and the whole lot. The past couple years however i dont really have cramps and my bleeding is super light and my periods went down to 3-4 days. Obviously both ends arent completely normal...

This period rn came on time for the first time ever and my cramps are here yall. Not as bad as before I took advil and im being lazy and im ok. Day 1 bleeding is heavier than ive had for years but probably considered normal for most?

Anyway im wondering if any other pcos girlys had their periods come back and start having symptoms of a normal period again or if this is me flipping back to the danger zone?

I've been trying since february of 25.... i lost a pregnancy in June of 25 and nothing since. I have such a long cycle i dont even have the opportunity to make a baby but every 2 months if I ovulate.

Honestly im not even sure ive ever ovulated because this cycle i got my second ever tracked lh peak and i have never ever had ovulation symptoms this intense. my mood was crazy my boobs were sore I was crying at puppy videos all night having cramps etc. This has me panicking that the past year has been wasted because I wasnt even able to get pregnant and what if thats just how it is. I see my obgyn in 2 months- the week after the NEXT time my app predicts I ovulate. Idk if they will be down to give me the meds im asking for or trigger shots or something thats not merformin I was on that years ago and it was an awful 3 months. And if they fight me then I wasted another 2 months then how much longer to get into another clinic?

I've been so sad and anxious this past week because its post ovulation week and ofc i got my hopes up then I have to be around my SIL who rents a room from us and who is pregnant and no one shuts up about it now. They used to be mindful of how I felt now its like whatever talk about baby showers baby lists nurseries baby clothes.... and I have no friends so I cant talk to people about this and my sister doesnt care and my fiance doesnt get it and I won't tell my other family about all of this cause I dont want them to know were trying in case it doesnt happen... i am just bottling this stuff up and crying when im home or im constantly planning how to eat how to exercise what supplements to take what doctor to see when to put money to the side what to say at the appointment.

Im 9dpo wondfo test was negative today ill take one tomorrow and the 3rd if I dont have my period but its irregular ofc.

In june of 2025 I was told once I had 2 more mc or went a year without successfully having a baby i could come back and get more blood work and tests done at my obgyn. I broke my foot and took a break from trying and still tracked. I waited longer to make up for the months lost during my broken foot recovery and now here we are.

My period comes about every month and a half so this means im basically having the opportunity to ovulate every 2 months... ive managed to track a peak this cycle and im 8dpo so it may be too early to call it but I woke up this morning and just had a feeling... prior to this cycle i probably missed my peaks because I was going based off what the app said, this only got me one other peak tracked. I switched to tested every day after cd12... i ovulated cd30.

If im right another 2 months goes by until I ovulate again in September. Im sick of it. I called and made an appointment with the office I went to last year and told her I wanted to discuss medication blood work physical tests everything. I have 2 months until this appointment too.

Regardless I feel like im so separated from this part of fertility because I thought id never have to think about it and if i didnt id be manifesting a natural pregnancy... i know nothing about this. Any advice is appreciated.

I came across a couple companies I could rent a wheelchair from when I get to London. Im wondering if anyone has had experience doing this and recommends a company? I can also buy a wheelchair and take it with me im just not going to bring my knee scooter and didnt want to buy a whole new thing.

Im still iffy about it as im 9 weeks post op so maybe at 14 Ill be walking better but im also completely leaving things out of my itinerary because I know i won't be able to walk that long like the zoo for example so maybe I should just do it.

Right now my whole itinerary is 5 minute walks between everything or close to tube stations but i seem to lose my walking ability after 10 minutes at this moment in recovery. I also appreciate any mobility advice for the trip.
