Hello /r/KaigaiIdols! I'm your new head mod!
Hey everyone! I'm K-chan, a kaigai idol based out of Salem Masschusetts! I am the new head mod of r/KaigaiIdols
"What happened?"
Nothing really. The old mod was inactive for several months and was removed from the team as per reddit moderation guidelines and standards. After noticing there was no moderation, I went through the official process to request the sub and was granted ownership.
"What changes?"
Nothing, except now the sub is actually being moderated. There wasn't much that needed to be moderated to be fair, but it was needed enough that the lack of mods was annoying and impacting other idols in the community.
"Who are you?!"
I'm K-chan, I've been performing idol acts since 2022 at Anime Boston and debuted as a kaigai idol back in 2025. I'm local to the New England area, particularly out of the historical city of Salem, MA. I specialize in J-metal, but love to perform all sorts of genres! My main inspirations are Zombieland SAGA, Babymetal, and other kaigai idols!
Anyways it's wonderful to be of service to you all! I'll be honest and say I dunno what I'll be doing other than moderating here, but I might do a few cute little community posts here and there. Thanks so much for having me!! 🧡✨
