Life hack: exfoliating AFTER application?

Like everyone else, before my new tan I'll hop in the shower, exfoliate all of my skin, towel dry, apply tan, leave on for 6-8 hours, and shower again. But last night I was tired and skipped exfoliating (even though I had the freckle-style patchy tan and was desperate for it, guilty of missing moisturizer this week). I applied tan over all my patchy dead skin and fell asleep. Woke up, showered + exfoliated. My tan turned out a little lighter than usual, but I dont have a single streak on me, not even my hands. It turned out so even! Now I'm wondering if I should exfoliate after instead of before. Has anyone else tried this?

Getting braces again! But should I start with MARPE?

26f - Had braces when I was 13, never wore my retainer, need to get them again (i have especially crooked bottom teeth). Id like to widen my smile. Do you think the braces will be enough to do it or do I need MARPE?

Necklift at 26?

Hi everyone, i have genetically poor jaw/neck structure. I'm wondering if this is something that can be fixed with a necklift or genioplasty. I want to avoid doing double jaw surgery as much as possible. Thank you!

Feel like my hair turned out anticlimactic

Hi everyone! I used to bleach my hair like the first picture often (this one is a before and after of me getting full highlights at a salon after I told him I wanted to be platinum, he did an incredible job and probably my best bleach job ever!) I had platinum blonde hair for years and then I stopped bleaching it for 3 years. Recently my hair felt too dark so I wanted to go back to bleaching it. I had a full balayage done and the before and after is in the 2nd picture. I feel like it's definitely lighter but not what I expected. I was looking to do something like picture 3 which I guess would have been a full highlight again. I didn't think a balayage would be such an anticlimactic result compared to a regular highlight. Now after the bleach my hair feels rubbery and I have to brush it what feels like every 5 minutes which I've never felt from all of my prior bleaching before. I see some breakage now which is normal from bleach. I feel like I made a mistake after growing my hair bleach-free for 3 years and this is what I get :( I'm going to give myself a week to see if I start to love it because maybe I'm in shock from not bleaching for so long...

Is my hair too thin for layers?

I've never had layers before because I assume it's too thin. But my stylist asked me if I wanted to do layers. Isn't my hair too thin for them?

Hi everyone, I have a large consolidated parent plus loan that I did via the double consolidation loophole (which is now obsolete). The loan is currently stuck in forbearance under the extended standard repayment plan (30 year plan). The cost is $600/month with this repayment plan.

Right now we have 35 out of 120 payments made towards PSLF. I would like to take the loan out of forbearance to have the payments start qualifying again. Unfortunately if I choose an IDR plan, the monthly payment increases to $1000/month based on my dad's income. Is there any way for me to get the loan out of forbearance without choosing an IDR plan? I would like to keep it on the extended standard repayment plan and continue to make qualifying PSLF payments. Thank you!

I used to be platinum blonde for years (img 1-6). I would switch it up between different tones and getting my roots fully touched up vs highlighted, but for the most part it was fully platinum. I stopped because of the damage and started growing out my natural hair (img 7 - just including one pic to show my natural) but I got bored of it and decided to go darker instead. Img 8-10 I dyed it brown, about one shade darker than my natural hair. I quickly got bored of it again, and asked for red hints in my next appointment (img 11 + 12) which made it even darker, and now I'm having a crisis on missing my platinum hair. I feel like I had so much more variety on outfits and makeup with platinum hair and now I feel stuck on only looking good in browns, neutrals, and freakin' jeans with red hair. I hate jeans! Platinum blonde is the only time I've ever truly been happy with my hair color, I only stopped doing it because of the damage with bleaching. I look at these old pictures of me and dream of being platinum or atleast blonde again.

Now I have no idea where to go from here. I could use some personal stories from other blondes that went dark and are feeling the regret, and what you did. Thank you everyone!
