Indoor activities for a baby who only likes being outside

My baby is just about to turn 6 months and for the past few months has developed a preference for being outside. It sounds great until it gets dark or the weather gets too cold or wet to be out. Currently we’re able to keep him inside the house for about 15ish minutes until he starts crying for us to go out. Same thing for car rides. And it has to be outside outside (we tried taking him to stores and he also gets bored unless there’s a lot of people/noises). The weather is still good here but we are mentally preparing for what to do when we can’t be outside all day and some days me and dad just need to rest (my feet have grown a half size from walking so much and I’m losing too much weight 🙃). Wondering if you have a similar baby or suggestions for what to do to keep baby entertained indoors.

We’ve tried: reading (he lasts about 1 book before getting bored 😭) and various toys (stacking, o balls, piano, toys he can pull things out of, teethers) as well as tons of floor and mirror time and music/dancing with him when we have the energy, putting him in a diaper box or giving him random things to play with like empty bottles.

Woolino sleep sack sizing or other recs for long baby?

I’m tired of spending all my money on sleep sacks just for my baby to outgrow them in a few weeks 🫠 my almost 6 mo old is on the verge of out growing his current sleep sack which is 85cm in length 😭. I’ve been considering purchasing the Woolino classic in size 18-36 mo or the ultimate bag in 2-4 year size for when he reaches the minimum weight limit thats recommended but I’m trying to figure out 1) are they worth it (especially in terms of breathability) 2) how long they lasted your babies 3) any more affordable alternatives to consider. Thanks in advance!

Tips for going to bottle feeding preference to nursing

My baby was nursing about 40% of the time and bottle fed the remainder of the time and since I went back to work (remote 90% of the time with MIL watching the baby), the amount of time I’ve been able to breastfeed has dropped and now at 5 months, baby basically refuses the breast 😭 We’ve tried nipple shields and paced bottle feeding, but my baby has been able to hold his bottle for the past two months now and will tilt and hold the bottle on his own a large portion of the time, unless there’s someone else holding his arms down (and sometimes his legs cause he kicks/pushes away). I would love to be able to breastfeed, especially at night and when my husband is out of town and I’m on my own. Has anyone been able to get baby back on the breast at this age? Any advice appreciated.

Experience bringing breast pump to Shoreline Amphitheater (Mountain View, CA)?

Any moms have experience bringing in their breast pump and related accessories to the Shoreline Amphitheater venue? I tried to email and they told me to call their number but I kept missing their hours. I need to bring my wearable pumps, cooler bag, and stainless steel milk cooler bottle. I know it’s technically considered medical equipment but just curious as to what your experience has been like! I plan to pump before but will need to pump again during the concert :(

How to stop leaking when pumping

So I’ve been pumping with the s1 spectra for 4 months now and lately feel like milk is leaking out of flanges and back into my bra a lot vs going into the flange and into collection cups. I basically have to hunch forward or else milk will pool and leak. I’ve tried different flange sizes to see if it would help and it hasn’t. Also have a great pumping bra that keeps flanges secure so it’s not that either. I don’t have this problem with my eufy wearables. Anyone have advice on how to make the leaking stop?

How much did your baby drink at night at 4 months?

My baby boy is turning 4 months in a couple of days and everywhere I’m researching says that by this age, babies may only need 1-2 night feedings and should be capable of longer stretches of sleep. Well my baby drinks 5-6 4oz bottles of breastmilk at night and is showing no signs of slowing down. It’s impacting his sleep and ours because we are constantly having to feed him every 1-1.5 hrs. We thought it was a sleep regression or growth spurt but he’s literally been sleeping and eating like this for two months now 🫠 we offer him milk before bed and frequently during the day but he usually eats maybe an ounce at waking and then finishes 3oz right before his next nap (so eating every 2-3 hours). Would appreciate any advice on how to reduce night feeds (if it’s even possible or if we just have to wait for baby to do it himself) and would love it if you could share how long it took before your baby went down to 1-2 night feeds!

I kept on getting frequent clogs and tried everything:
Sunflower lecithin multiple times a day, heat, massage, ice, ibuprofen, switching out duckbill valves, switching flange sizes, changing expression modes, trying other pumps, putting baby on the breast, and in the end, what actually worked best was HAND EXPRESSING at the end of my pumping sessions! I hand express for about 5-10 mins after and found that I could get about a half ounce extra of milk. My body responds really well when I press down just behind my nipple with my thumb and index finger. So if you are like me and have gone down the list of things and still haven’t seen much improvement, try hand expressing!
