Buspirone and dizziness

Does anyone else get intense dizziness and hot sweats after their first dose? Like, within 30 mins after the first dose? It lasts for maybe half an hour or so.

This has been happening to me since I increased to about 30mg/day (in two doses). Been on it for just two weeks.

Buspirone for treatment resistant GAD with agoraphobia, avoidance personality disorder and OCD.

How has this been for anyone with a similar diagnosis to me? Or just anyone who hasn’t responded to other medications?

I’ve tried over 30 meds in the last decade and none of them have done anything for me. Lorazepam is all that works for me, but I’m only allowed to use it 4 times per week max (for obvious reasons). I have been engaged with a psychologist for many years.

I don’t have many options left for medication at this stage, but Buspirone just became available again in my country (Australia), as it’s been unavailable for many years now.

I started it 2 weeks ago, I’m currently on 15mg morning and night. No changes as yet, but I know it can take many weeks before it starts to work and I know the dose can be as high as 60mg per day.

Thanks.

Buspirone?

Has anyone tried this and has it been helpful? Yes, I know, traditionally used for generalised anxiety disorder, but I am curious if anyone has had any luck with this. I have both generalised anxiety and OCD.

Thanks!

Some people need reminding: A landlord body was given a $100,000 government grant. The way it was spent raised questions

TRRPO spent just over $40,000 of the grant, including $2,195 for three hours of "individual tailored" media training from Liberal Party-aligned Font PR for Ms Elliot, the TRRPO president.

TRRPO also used the grant to pay Ms Elliot's company, Elliot Consulting, $6,372 to carry out work including creating online modules for landlords at $105 an hour, and running in-person sessions at libraries across Tasmania at $75 an hour, plus $50 an hour for transport.

This spending was approved by two of the three TRRPO office holders, with Ms Elliot being the third.

Midazolam + Fentanyl twilight sedation

I am going to be having my first colonoscopy in a few days and they are going to do twilight sedation with the above medications. I won’t be asleep, but I’ll be relaxed and will remember very little.

Has anyone else had this combination of medication with their colonoscopy and how did you go? Did you feel any pain? Were you relaxed?

I have a major fear of general anaesthetic (I had a bad experience many years ago) so they are doing this instead. I have had this twilight sedation before, but never for a colonoscopy as this is my very first colonoscopy, but I’m so incredibly anxious. I have severe anxiety and agoraphobia at baseline, so it’s even more difficult for me. I’m allowed to use Lorazepam before I leave home which I’m happy about (I use this as needed for my anxiety already).

I’d love to hear people’s experiences if they have had twilight sedation with these medications… thank you and please be kind. 🙏🏻😢

Did anyone find L-Carnitine actually helpful with the pain associated with Accutane?

I’m 2 months into Accutane (low dose 10mg/day, due to my acne being on the more mild to moderate side and non-scaring, but very persistent and not responsive to other treatments. I’ve had it since I was 14 and I’m now in my early 30s). Another reason for the low dose is because of the potential side effects. I have male pattern hair loss and am already on medications for this. I also have poor mental health and chronic pain. I know Accutane could potentially exacerbate these issues, hence the low dose. I’m also 60 kg and 165 cm.

I have chronic pain at baseline, so my number one concern going into Accutane was pain and at about week 4 I started to notice that my baseline chronic pain was so much worse and just in general, I am in a lot of pain.

I found some study online about this supplement, and if you take it with Accutane it can help with the pain (in some people). There’s also various derms talking about it online, too.

Am wondering if anyone here has any experience with this?

\*\*\*Side note… Other side effects I’ve experienced are: **incredibly** dry eyes, dry lips and my face skin just feels dry and tight, like all the moisture has been sucked out of it. I did mildly purge after the first few weeks, but I’ve been 100% clear for the last 3 or so weeks.

Upcoming Colonoscopy

Did anyone use the following for their sedation?
• Midazolam + Fentanyl?

* And I’ve been told I can use my Lorazepam a few hours prior as I’m super anxious about this and I have debilitating anxiety at baseline.

1,700 JOBS CUT = $1.5 BILLION = NEW STADIUM

Billboard calling out the Rockliff Government’s decision to slash public service jobs while continuing with a costly stadium.

The Liberals could’ve chosen to balance to the budget by scrapping the stadium and making corporations pay their fair share.

Instead, they chose pain for Tasmanians already doing it tough, with brutal cuts to essential services that don't meet demand already.

Low Dose Isotretinoin?

Disclaimer: *I know everyone is different, and what works for one person, may not work for the next etc. I am just looking for personal experiences*.

Has anyone had any luck treating their acne with low dose Isotretinoin?

I have persistent (since ~2009) mild to moderate acne that hasn’t responded that well to other topical and oral treatments. My acne always heals with persistent and stubborn post acne marks, too. It can sometimes be mildly painful.

My dermatologist prescribed 10mg daily and they have said I may need to be on it for up to a year because it is a low dose. The reason for the low dose is because my acne isn’t severe and I already deal with a lot of the potential side effects that can happen (muscle aches/pains, hair shedding, dry skin etc). I don’t want to make these things worse.
Although, I am on low dose oral Minoxidil and Finasteride for my hair, so I’m not so worried about that.

My dermatologist did mention increasing to 20mg if I get along with 10mg alright.

There is good research to suggest lower doses in cases where the acne is less severe and the side effects can be less of a problem.

Thanks for your time, please be kind, as I’m very self conscious to post this. 🫶🏻
