Since project hail mary showed its possible to use anamorphic lenses to record a 1.43 image into a 2.20 sensor, then reexpand later. Im just curious if from a technical point of view it would be possible to take a 1.43 DCP and print that to standard 2.20 70mm film anamorphically squished then use a projection lenses to return the image to its proper 1.43 aspect?

the track pads can be made to work like basically two flat sticks. maybe not ideal to all but frankly i enjoyed them. But the lack of a real dpad was my main issue with it. frankly if they had replaced the stikc with a dpad it would have been amazing.

Of course 1570 is ALWAYS going to be the best way to do it, but that doesnt mean the other ways are bad imo.
The new anamorphic way used in project hail mary was pretty cool. 2.20:1 digital camera with a lense that vertically squeezed the larger 1.43 image into 2.20. probably could be used with standard 70mm film too if a director desired the anamorphic light shapes too.
Vista vision being used in full frame finally, obaa and bugonia in gt theaters. Digital 1.50:1 native cameras that can easilly crop out the tiny bit of non needed frame.
Im just hoping all this leads to more 1.43 imax movies being released, and especially more 1.43 theaters being made.
