It feels like everything fell apart

I didn't score well in JEE, and I'm not getting any NIT, IIIT, or even a decent GFTI.

I was doing fairly well in my JEE mock tests during the last month. Based on those scores, I honestly thought I could at least get Mechanical at NIT Jalandhar. I don't know what happened in the actual exam, but now I'm not even getting a decent GFTI.

I really liked NIT Jalandhar. It's just 7 km from my home. During my JEE preparation, I used to ride my bicycle there just to look at the gate. Nowadays, I don't even want to go down that road.

Now my only options are a tier-3 private college or a tier-3 government college that's just a few kilometers away from NIT Jalandhar.

It feels like everything has fallen apart.

Congratulations to everyone who made it to NIT Jalandhar.

Need help

Hi , I’m really confused between three CSE options and need advice.

Option A:

4.8 lakh for 4 year

Average tier 3–4 type college

Placements are not so good in batch of 360 students only 20 placed in IT companies rest in non-it field like BPO services

Heard a rumour about this college that they allegedly fail students in exam, and make hard exam

Option B:

Fess is around 7.2 lakh(including hostel and other expenses)

Better reputation / stronger brand name in state only

Not sure if placements are actually much better

Option C:

Private university option

Fees is around 8 lakh for 4 year

Bigger campus and more exposure/opportunities from what I hear

Mixed opinions online, some people praise it while others criticize it

What I care about most:

Placements

Coding culture / peer group

ROI (return on investment)

Internship opportunities

But fees in option A is 2-2.5 lakh less than other so it confuses me alot

If you were in this situation, would you pick the cheaper option, pay extra for reputation, or go for the private university route? People who have experienced similar choices, please share what happened later.

Option A is Punjab Technical University (PTU)

Option B is Guru Nanak Dev University

Option C is LPU

Need help

Hi everyone, I’m really confused between three CSE options and need advice.

Option A:

Lower fees because I got a fee waiver(around 1.5 lakh for 4year)

Average tier 3–4 type college

Heard a rumour about this college that they allegedly fail students in exam, and make hard exam

CSE placements data

Current GNDU CSE students and recent graduates, I need some honest information about placements.

  1. What percentage of CSE students get software/IT jobs?

  2. Which companies visited for CSE placements in the last 2 years?

  3. What are the typical packages for software roles?

  4. How many students get placed through campus vs off-campus?

  5. Are companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. visiting regularly?

  6. If you were taking admission again, would you still choose GNDU CSE?

I'm trying to compare GNDU CSE with other options, so I'd appreciate honest experiences rather than official placement statistics.

Thanks.
