Image-to-emoji ASCII art generation

This is a mosaic generator that uses emoji. It takes an image, scales it down, and uses emoji as the colored units to represent the pixel. Due to the limited colors we have available , it works better with vector style illustrations than photos, or pics with gradations.

I made a font that renders guitar chords as tabs.

I'm so sick of slow, heavy guitar websites that load a bunch of crap just to render text-based information like tabs. Usually rendering tabs means passing a guitar chord to some kind of processing that generates the diagram. My goal here was to skip all that code and hard-coded dictionary of the diagrams into the font. So if you have a website or any app that needs to render the tab, all you would need is the string, e.g. D#sus2.

Using open type substitutions, I was able to put together 700 plus chords in the font. Check out the demo!

BurlCo. Jury Duty question

I'm going to Jury Duty today. Number in the 400s. What are the chances that I'll be needed Tuesday or Wednesday?

The paper says my service is 1 week or 1 trial but it's a bit vague. Unfortunately I scheduled a job interview this week. If I get a trial, that seems a fine excuse to reschedule the interview. But if I reschedule it and I'm not even called in Wednesday, it would be a waste.

FENwright, a font that renders a board from FEN

This is super niche but I thought I'd share. I make fonts, and I've always wondered if it were possible to make a font that can visually build out a chessboard from a FEN string. With some experimenting, it definitely is! You just start typing FEN syntax and watch it construct the pieces and tiles.

Check out the font:

Free to use for any website or app builders.

Wrappit - guess the line length to wrap the shape

I made this mini game called wrappit. It's a simple game where you guess how long a line has to be to fully wrap a shape.

Looking for feedback if you play. I'm happy with the gameplay and mechanics, and I'd like to improve many of the aspects surrounding the game (being able to restart, different point structure, etc). But hey, it launched so that was the tough part.

I lost the battle today... again

Living together while we wait for the divorce to go through.

I told myself plenty times I won't fall for her manipulation. That I will stand my ground. But today I gave in. I told myself that she will no longer emotionally abuse me. That my empathy has limits because I respect myself and my own boundaries... that we're divorcing anyway so i have nothing left to lose but my pride. Yet today I lost my pride.

Story of my life. I said no to her polite request. Then it became a discussion. Then my persistent "no" meant I'm escalating. Then an emotional plea. Heated argument. Screaming. Me calling out her past physical abuse. Her calling me out for sending her to jail for it. Then her threats to call the police because my refusal to concede counts as emotionally abusing to her. I don't believe I'm the abuser. That's darvo I guess. So I started to calmly attempt compromise. That was her in to make more demands and mock me. To push me around even more. Why do I let her win? I just want peace.

[TOMT] Real Boy song from Teen Titans Go sounds like another song

The hook where they say "I'm a boy a really real boy"..etc

It's the gravely way the male voice sings it. Upbeat, same cadence. Maybe something from 90s alternative rock?
