Google lens said that. And the source site mentioned treating it with triclopyr and elsewhere mentioned anything with 2-4D. I do have tenacity and the other thing that starts with a golf term for making even (message popped up saying my post would be removed).

I am located in west GTA.

Last three years this was only in one small section next to a garden. It somehow is appearing all over the front lawn this summer and a little in the back.

I’ve been pulling by hand here and there the past three days.

First time buying washer or dryer.  Just looking for some input on these two dryer models I’m deciding between. Though not necessarily through your experience with these models exactly, but your experience on what features these offer or are missing based on the models you have used.

These are the closest to the dimensions of my current dryer, which is peeling paint inside along with the bearings starting to go. The laundry room is pretty small and I only have 55” between the wall and laundry tub so the dryer has to be 27” wide (and washer when that is ready to be replaced). The current depth is about 27.5” deep including the exhaust, which is about 1” sticking out. When adding the door after swinging it out 90 degrees, it’s about 50” deep.

The depth has to be pretty close to the existing since it’s a tight space and there is a brine tank for the water softener in front of the dryer. The door to the dryer clears that tank by 2.5” currently. Though there is the option to pay about $150 CAD to replace the tank with a skinner one to add more room, then a couple inches more depth for the dryer is possible.

We are a family of 4 with kids being 7 and 5 so we’re doing minimum 2 full loads a week but usually 3 and sometimes 4. No pets.

 Notes:

• As I read, the end of cycle buzzer is basically the ear piercing and super annoying buzzer you hear at the end of the quarter in a basketball game. No way to turn it off but I read there are Youtube videos on how to disable it by opening up the panel and disconnecting the wire to the buzzer.
• Knobs don’t turn smoothly at all. Feels incredibly cheap and stiff. The start button is a physical button and I don’t mind the way it feels when pressing. The terrible feel of the knobs aren’t a deal breaker though.

 Notes:

• Knob turns incredibly smoothly and you can feel the clicks between each setting. Just feels so nice using it.
• Looks very nice, but with these digital displays, is there more of a chance of the control panel screwing up compared to the analog GE? And then I’m going to be left with an expensive repair?
• The buttons are touch and not physical buttons. Are they going to crack fairly quickly over time like the Start button on a microwave? Though since it’s a laundry appliance, that’s not a big deal.

 

- For both, the exhaust is pretty much in the same spot, at the bottom and off to the right of middle like my current one so that shouldn’t be an issue.

- We don’t have fancy garments or whatever that we need special care for. What the current basic dryer does is fine.

- Would you buy an extended warranty for these?

- We use the same setting for drying for everything we have. But for more delicate stuff we just hang to dry.

I previously posted yesterday about my top rack not cleaning. I showed how I opened up the bottom part partially and couldn't do the rest. Well, I put it back together and tonight we ran the dishwasher. The tub flooded because water was running non stop into the tub.

I actually have one of those puck shaped water leak alarms right under and that went off. Some water did get through the corner where the door and tub meet and went through to the subfloor or whatever, and I can see the bottom of the subfloor got wet when I go to my basement. There is a gap in my laundry room between the wall and ceiling where I can see the joists and various lines running and the subfloor, which got a little wet and a little bit did run down the wall and come out under the baseboards of the floor in my finished basement. I wiped it up and haven't seen anything since. Also those wet spots I saw on the bottom of the subfloor dried in about an hour and a half.

Anyway, when the alarm went off I immediately put a dishtowel underneath and opened the door to stop the cycle. Well, that little hole on the side of the tub just kept shooting out water. My wife got bath towels and we put those to catch more water and I ran to the basement to shut off the house water.

Water remained in the tub until I closed the door and pressed the Cancel/Drain button and it sucked it all away. Any time I turn on the house water, that little hole will just continuously shoot water out.

I look under my sink and I don't see a line running from the dishwasher to the kitchen sink plumbing. I looked in the cabinet space between and see nothing. I checked under and there's nothing running there. I went into my laundry room in the basement which is also the utility room with the HWT, furnace, etc. It has pretty much all lines for everything visible. Well I was wondering if the dishwasher lines ran down there but I don't think so.

I want to cut the power to the unit and start unplugging things but not sure what I'm doing. I'll have to watch some youtube videos on that.

I just can't for the life of me understand where that water is coming from. I want to turn a shutoff specifically for it but I don't see such a thing, including when I look under after I remove the kick plate.

Any idea on how to stop it so I can't turn the water back on for my house?

I think that yellow thing with the thin silver hose is where it's coming from.

I wouldn’t mind a new s/s dishwasher but everything in the kitchen is white and has lasted for 10 plus years and no idea how long before we moved here. So thought I’d give this a shot at fixing before moving to s/s.
 
I did take that upper arm off and rinsed water through it and it came out cleaning from all holes, so it’s not clogged up.
 
I started to take apart that bottom part. I took off the cover part of it with the bottom arm and it revealed this Millennium Falcon looking part. Removed that and I see this black round piece. I used the drill and that bit attachment and tried to unfasten the thing but the black circle piece just spins with the bolt. Even after I tried holding that black circle with a wrench.

I was wondering if water was not passing from the bottom part up that flat tube that feeds into the upper arm. I assume that’s what supposed to happen. Anyway, I used a water gun and shot water from the top opening and it came down freely though the oval bottom opening. So I don’t think that flat tube is clogged up.
 
Anyone know how I’m supposed to open up the bottom part? It had 8 screws that I removed but I just can’t get past that black circle part.

Weeks ago I noticed this 5 inch metal pole sticking out of the ground. It’s a foot away from where two sidewalks meet at an intersection. And right beside that is the crosswalk to a school. So, dozens of kids pass by this thing daily. Given that it’s only a foot away from the sidewalk, it kind of seems dangerous. Tripping on it is one thing, but if a kid tripped or fell off their bike right onto it, then it could be a devastating injury.
 
I called the town a few weeks ago and someone put a pylon on top of it, suggesting someone would later deal with it. That was gone a couple days later, but the pole remained. I inquired again and Service Oakville emailed me back to say a crew member had a look and said that denotes the property line between the house owner’s yard and the piece of the yard owned by the town. Property markers are not to be removed.
 
Anyone seen a marker like this elsewhere? I’ve never noticed one. And are there not alternatives than a 5 inch metal rod sticking out where kids pass by daily? I had a look at streetview from 2023 and there used to be a tree nearly over it, which kind of acted like a barrier.

Bought this a few weeks ago to replace a many years old almost exact same kind of door knob. It was working fine but now we discovered it can be opened by turning one way. But it stays locked when turning it the other way. The previous one stayed locked but it was just hard to turn the lock mechanism, which took a few times before it engaged.

Any idea what the problem could be? Or should I just return this and get another one? Either the same or different brand.

Weather this spring has been brutal. Opening weekend for pike was no different. Cool, grey and wind was super annoying. Was confined to a small bay to shelter from the wind.

5 minutes into it I got this beauty, which is a very good size for this area. Got two dinks within the next 20 minutes and things switched off for the next two hours. This gator made the otherwise annoying outing worth it. Fought like a beast. Going under the boat twice.

Came out to $35 CAD total.

Won't be mistaken for an official jersey, but at a fraction of the cost I'm satisfied. I don't think I've ever seen someone wearing a Canada jersey before. No one will know the difference without inspecting closely. I plan on wearing it to the beach or whatever. And Canada is playing some qualifying games a half hour from me this summer so I might attend. Plus I'll wear this around Canada day.

You can see the bunching just below the collar. That's from excess material. Also, the shoulders stick up a little and don't lie completely flat.

The lettering is like ironed or pressed on. By default, the FIBA logo is on the jersey but I sent a sample photo of an official jersey that had a Canada flag. They swapped in a Canada flag, but it doesn't have a black outline like the official one. There was an option for stitched letters.

The back name isn't perfectly centred, but then again SGA has a long, long name. Not really noticeable without inspecting. It's creased in the photo as I haven't ironed it out yet.

Sizing is accurate. 29" from top of shoulder to bottom of shirt. 21.5" from bottom armpit to armpit.
