Diagnose my console, It’s having problems but I’m not sure what they are.

So I have an Xbox One from around 2015, and it was not loading games right, either they wouldn’t load at all, or would take a really long time, like a really really long time.

It wouldn’t make it past the initial logo screen, or it would say something like ‘there was a problem’ or ‘took to long to start’. If it did make it past the start up screens, it would then take a long time to load a save file or do anything.

I did some googling of course and came to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the hard drive, but I decided to try and completely reset the console and delete everything and start over.

When I did that it seems to be fixed now, everything’s working fine.

So what was/is the problem? Is everything fine now?

And assuming it’s fine besides for the fact that it’s a 10 year old console, what’s it worth? And if there is something wrong with it that’s going to come back what’s it worth?

Is an Xbox one with a broken hard drive worth anything to someone?

Apple Cash broken, what do I do?

So a while back my Apple Cash stopped working, I had been using it for a while but when I tried to receive a payment and used the option that puts it in my account faster than normal for a fee for the first time, I got flagged or something and my account was suspended.

I’ve tried everything I can think of the fix it, I’ve tried to verify my identity several times, but every time for some reason it just locks me out and it won’t even let me do it again for a few months. I don’t know if I’m entering information that doesn’t match the records, but I’m very thorough when I do it and as far as I can tell am entering all my information correctly.

I’ve talked to several different layers of Apple help or the customer service number for Apple Cash, but they pretty much say every time, sorry nothing we can do. They pretty much just try and walk me through verifying my identity and that’s it.

I would try and make a new Apple account but I don’t think that would help, because my social security number would already be associated with an Apple Cash account and wouldn’t work right?

What do I do I really need to get Apple Cash working.

Very thick curry

I was making my own curry for the first time, and using some curry blocks I got from the Japanese market. I left my pretty much done curry to simmer a bit too long while doing something else, and it turned pretty thick and paste-like.

When I tried it, I thought it was pretty good, but it’s definitely much thicker than any pictures of curry I’d seen or had before.

My question is, does anybody ever make their curry extra thick on purpose?

I’m starting using mirin when cooking, and I feel Ike I understand it pretty well, but I have a few questions about a few other ingredients, and a bunch of googling only helped a little.

Should I use cooking sake or just get some basic sake to cook with, is one better for simply cooking? From what I’ve gotten from google, cooking sake is pretty much sake with salt added, but would it be better to just get regular sake? What is more common to use?

And would you use mirin, sake, and rice vinegar (is komezu the right term?) all in the same dish?
