Person I adopted my cat from omitted the fact that he was used to playing with other cats, what to do?

A bit of a tricky question here, but I just learned from the previous owner that she “forgot” to tell me that he was more used to playing with other cats, but I was under the impression that he would do well solo.

I’ve tried springs, different wands but he barely interacts with those. I’m scared that he’ll just be like really miserable alone, especially since I really can’t adopt a new cat before at least a year or so.

As of now he mostly just sleeps and wanders around. Is there any way I can stimulate him so he doesn’t get bored? I was thinking of some of those treat puzzle things as he is a big eater lol

EDIT: Forgot to mention he is 1 year and 1-ish month old

Merci!

Housing selection to welcome new cat

Hello! I will be moving away for studies soon and was considering adopting an indoor cat to keep me company and help with my mental health.

Issue is I have 2 housing propositions, both 1 room apartments and I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons.

One has an extra dressing room I was considering using as an office, but the only windows available in the whole space would be 2 skylights, so I’m worried the cat would not have access to natural cat TV. On top of that, the bathroom is very tiny and I would have to place the litter in the main living room or in a corner in the dressing/office. This one is 28m2.

Other one is a 20m2, but has a large proper floor to ceiling window. I could also make a few arrangements to give the cat more vertical space. There would be enough room for the litter in the bathroom so no issues for that.

My question now is whether the extra space from the first apartment, or the extra enrichment from the second would be better to keep the cat happy. I would assume the big window would be more lucrative for the cat as well as a lot of vertical space, but I am open to more opinions.

Pictures here: link (first place will be emptied, second one comes furnished with what is shown)

Thank you!

How to keep frizzing under control while avoiding full clean retwists? I prefer the slightly “messier” look over the clean fresh retwist look 🫪

Started in Aug. 2024 so about 1 year, 10 months in

After 9 years, I have finally acquired a Wii U again

Gave away the Wii U I got at launch to some relatives after receiving a Nintendo Switch in 2017. Now we’ve come full circle.

This one had error code 160-0101, so the seller sold it to me for 25€ (35€ with shipping). Took the gamble and tried unbricking it with UDPIH and it worked.

How do y’all make cool looking bases/villages?

Just started a playthrough but building has never been my forte, even if I wish it was. How do all the great builders out here go on about making great builds/bases.

What is the thought process? Do you build per necessity or do you build and then think of what the building would be for after?

On top of that I’m also looking for a duo to play with, if they could be a decent-ish builder that would be nice too.

Thanks :)

Looking for builder duo in TFG-Modern

Looking for someone that’s a decent-ish builder to play modpacks with on the long run (although the current modpack would be TerraFirmaGreg). I mostly tend to play rather tech-heavy modpacks like E2E, GTNH, Monifactory…

Timezone is CEST, but that doesn’t really matter until I get a job since I’m up at mostly random times. Preferably 18+.

If this is something you’d be interested in, you can either comment here or add me on discord. My username is iris.zip (pfp should be a mii).

Thanks :)

Looking for anyone willing to play TerraFirmaGreg-Modern

I’ve been playing alone but it’s getting a bit boring. Looking for 1 or 2 people to play with. We would be playing on the same server but seperately if that makes sense. If you could host the server that would be great as well. Thank you :)

1 year and 8 months 🫶🏾

First 3 pictures were when I started (last one was my first retwist). Last 3 are what they look like now. I like ‘em :)

Been wondering if I should trim the ends where it’s like coils (?), is there any benefit to that? Or can I just leave them like that?
