Never going to be able to date or trust again after 2.5 years.

My boyfriend of 2.5 years ghosted me after an argument about him visiting me. I started medical school this summer and have been asking him to come see me (we have been long distance the entire time but I have done most of the traveling and we lived together most of the last 1.5 years). He’s been out and about, living life, and seemingly letting me struggle. He was never like this. There’s no other girl, but he’s insanely avoidant. I don’t know what to do. Becoming a doctor doesn’t even feel like it matters anymore since I always feel sidelined for his engineering job. I hate my life, I hate everything, and I don’t know how I’m supposed to even move on without an official breakup. I don’t want to breakup :(.

My med spouse disappeared 4 days ago.

Hey med spouse friends! I’m the new med student and have had a long distance bf of two years. We got into a mini fight Friday about him visiting now that I’m in school again but he has been ghosting me since. It’s been mega hard to study or do anything with this going on and I had to take my first exam yesterday. I have a midterm next week and I cant focus. I know this is a lot for med spouses, but how would you like your med partner to handle this difficult time? I reached out a couple times but nada, and unsure how to maybe help him with what he needs during this time. I’ve made time to chat, have dates, and honestly not much has been different from before since we were always long distance. I know the next four years are probably looming in his head and I want a way for him to feel like this will be ok (which is hard because he’s awol).

Bf ghosting me before first exam as an OMSI

My boyfriend has stopped responding/put me on DND for the last day or two because I kinda crashed out that he didn’t tell me he was missing my white coat ceremony. I don’t feel like he’s doing the fair thing to me, but I don’t wanna breakup with him. I have my first exam of medical school on Monday on 2,100 slides and I can’t focus for the life of me. My school is very fast paced (anatomy is one semester, biochemistry is half a semester) and I’m honestly worried I’m going to fail. I know the natural answer is to not think about it and just study/breakup with him, but I can’t stop crying. The combination of first exam stress with my bf being awol and potentially breaking up with me is f’ing with me so bad.

Words of encouragement or tips would be nice! I’d like to stop crying lol

Coral Cliffs climbing?

Just moved to Davie recently and unfortunately with school making the trek up to Boulder Bloc or ProjectRock is a little inconvenient. Ik Coral Cliffs closed down a couple years ago but there was never more information published about it. Any local word of mouth news that a new gym will replace it or that it might reopen?

AT&T or Xfinity better for fiber internet?

Need strong internet for work. AT&T is a little cheaper but looking to see what people are recommending.

Looking for shampoos like Milkshake

Love Milkshake products but unfortunately they’re getting kind of expensive for my budget. Any similar recs in a slightly lower price change? Not looking for the cheapest shampoo ever, but anything even 10-20 cheaper could help!

Affordable omakase?

Looking to celebrate an anniversary on a budget tomorrow. Saw Uchiba has a $90 happy hour omakase special which looked like it could be a good option. Any other recs? Any lunch omakase deals?

Time of the day is not necessarily an issue! Ty!

Cold feet and not excited...

Starting 7/20 at a DO school close to home (NSU) which honestly was one of my last choices. I have had cold feet for a while, but after getting our schedule today I am honestly much more worked up and stressed than excited. Committing to 400k of debt, continued long distance with my partner (who I will now have much, much, much less time to see), and so much studying is making me so envious of people my age who are working interesting (albeit corporate) jobs, saving money, and just kinda vibing in their mid-20s. Ik the advice is that I'll be too busy to really think about all of this and that it'll be worth it in 7-8 years, but it is nearly impossible to see any of that light at the end of the tunnel right now. Most importantly, I am worried that this is going to absolutely decimate my 2 year relationship as my bf is also very career driven and busy with work/building his life. I am so blessed that I have had such a great time off of school during my gap, and it is making the idea of actually going back so much harder. I have been trying to break it down as med school really only being another master's degree and then one year of unpaid labor and then a year of getting to (hopefully) do electives where I finally would like to be, but it all seems so, so, so far away.

How do background checks work if I’m on the WL for another school

Probs a stupid question but I’m holding out hope for a school I’m on the WL for but my current A needs me to do the background check before July 1st. If I do happen to get off the WL do the background checks transfer or are they school specific? It’s a little pricey and I know we are supposed to be ready to lose money but part of me wants to wait another week or so and see. Thanks! (Current A uses CastleBranch, not sure what the WL uses). Getting my vaccines done this week regardless!

I got an email from NSU saying I am holding multiple seats (I am not). I confirmed all of my withdrawals with them and they updated my file with an intent to enroll; however, I am on a waitlist at UIW. This does not affect my waitlist, correct?
