Idk if they just decided to do this on their own or if the venue okayed it beforehand but this is so disrespectful to a veteran band to just do stupid meme bullshit like this so visibly during a performance. Free pickles in the lobby, sure fine whatever, but to stand up right in front and block peoples’ view to do some goofy brand promo shit during the performance of an influential band who traveled to be there and doesn’t play New York often does not sit right with me.
hi I’m going tonight and I’m wondering if Chapterhouse will have records at the merch table, photos I’ve seen have only shown shirts. also wondering if the Hum records are the color variants or standard black. thx u in advance
Brought my mom to our first ever Bruce show and had an amazing time, what a performance. I was worried about the behind the stage seats but the perspective was super cool with the stage view and the large screens together. Even though he didn’t do each of our favorite songs (mine Atlantic City and hers Glory Days) we and everyone around us were having a great time. I also love Rage Against the Machine and had tickets to see them right as Covid hit, so it was super sick seeing Tom Morello shred, especially covering the Clash and on the solo for Tom Joad. Best $125/ticket I ever spent.
only the red lights are on tonight, anyone know why? I thought I read that the lights were updated recently around when the towers were painted, do they need work again?
Another song I dreamed of seeing them play. When I was 12 years old I taught myself how to play drums in my bedroom by playing along to burned CD copies of Nevermind and The Colour and the Shape, and specifically spent a long time trying to learn this song. It felt like a full circle culmination of my life finally seeing it played live, in the city I grew up in, moved away from, and then moved back to once again. So many unbelievably great songs on their first two records and I’m glad they’re slowly getting their due.
Hello, anyone have any experience with trying to meet an artist after a show at Pier 17? Where is the stage door / area to wait? Thank you!
99% of the reason I go to Foo Fighters’ shows anymore is in hopes they will play more tracks from the first record and I was THRILLED to see Exhausted at Irving Plaza last night.
He came out after tonight’s show and was awesome. Chatted with all of us, signed stuff, gave one guy some guitar picks, stuck around for a couple minutes and made sure he went to both groups of people. Really awesome to meet such a legend in such a cool way, made my entire life!!
