Would an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8 GB of VRAM be enough for a 16-inch 2560×1600 gaming laptop?

I’m considering a new gaming laptop such as the HP OMEN MAX 16, ASUS ROG Strix G16, or MSI Vector 16 HX AI, with roughly the following specifications:

- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, 8 GB VRAM

- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 HX or Core Ultra 9 HX

- RAM: 32 GB (2×16 GB) DDR5-5600

- Storage: 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

- Display: 16", 2560×1600

My main concern is whether the RTX 5060 with only 8 GB of VRAM is enough for gaming at 2560×1600, especially for newer AAA games.

Would this GPU be well-balanced with this kind of CPU and display, or would the 8 GB VRAM become a limitation fairly quickly?

I’m not necessarily looking to play everything at Ultra settings. I’d be happy with high settings and DLSS, as long as I can maintain good performance and avoid VRAM-related issues.

Would you recommend going for an RTX 5060 8 GB laptop, or is it worth spending more for a GPU with more VRAM?

I’m French, and I travel a lot around the world, solo. For the past 16 years, I’ve been traveling to the USA every year to enjoy Disney and Universal theme parks.

My very first Halloween Horror Nights was in 2017 at Universal Studios Hollywood, with Chucky, Leatherface, Freddy and Jason — and what an incredible first experience! 🔪👻

Since then, I’ve also attended:

• 2019 — Hollywood

• 2022 — Orlando

• 2023 — Hollywood

• 2024 — Hollywood

• 2025 — Orlando

And next up: October 2026 in Hollywood! 🎃

But without hesitation, my favorite HHN was the 2017 Hollywood event! It was absolutely unforgettable and still holds a special place in my heart. ❤️‍🔥

CPU Intel core ultra 7 255hx ou 9 275 hx

GPU NVIDIA rtx 5060 ou 5070 (5070 ti inutile pour moi)

RAM 32 Go (2x16) 5600 MHz voir 6400 MHz

Hi everyone! I’m French and I absolutely love Hawaii. I’ve been coming back to the Hawaiian Islands for several years now, and I never get tired of them. 🌺🌴

I’ll be on Oahu from September 25th, 2026. I already have a few activities planned, including visiting Kualoa Ranch, going shark cage diving, snorkeling with sea turtles, and exploring the Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden. 🦈🐢🌿
