I’m auditioning for a production of The Outsiders tomorrow and am hoping to get Cherry but to me, she seems like a pretty flat character with little to no development so it’s been hard for me to come up with any ways to stand apart in the audition. the audition will consist of cold-reads from the script btw. if anyone could give me some insight into the character or any advice it would be much appreciated! :)

hi everyone! so i might be auditioning for a production of A Midsummer Nights Dream soon and Ive actually already played Hermia twice now! albeit in shortened versions of the play for youth theaters so i never got to fully flesh out the character and do in depth work with her so I wouldn’t mind playing her again but i also think i’d be good for Puck as well! They want a comedic monologue from another Shakespeare play and I’ve already been looking at Mercutios Queen Mab monologue from R+J for Puck but i’d like to try to find one that can encompass both characters possibly. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated! :)

on the way home i accidentally ran over a raccoon and probably killed it. i slowed down to maybe 25 mph but was afraid to fully stop in case someone was behind me but didnt think to look in the rearview for some reason, adrenaline maybe, and i looked afterward and there was no one behind me which makes me feel even worse. my sister was in the car with me and we both started sobbing. now im afraid that karma or something is gonna make something bad happen to me or someone i care about. is there any way i can make amends or fix this? i could’ve stopped but i didnt and hate myself for it.
I’m auditioning for Fiona in Shrek the musical and they want everyone auditioning for the part to sing Morning Person, specifically the “Cheep cheep cheep…hooray” part. Where my dilemma comes in is the fact that for the last “hooray” that makes the bird explode, the notes written in the sheet music are different and higher than what almost everyone who has played the part sings. Personally, I can’t sing the note that’s written so idk whether to stay close to the note or just sing what Sutton Foster sings in the OBC recording. This is a youth theatre production that will be casting some adults (I’m 25) so i’m hoping they’re just wanting to see who can act the part the best and will worry about hitting the notes later and not cast the part solely based on who can hit the note successfully.

I’ve recently started wearing Acuvue Oasys biweekly lenses (I’m still using trial lenses I’ll explain why) and am curious if it’s normal for one eye to be slightly blurry. If I cover my right eye my vision is fine, when i cover my left eye my vision is slightly blurry/out of focus. Vision with both eyes open is good but could be better? Should I just tolerate it and try to get used to it, or go back and ask to try a different prescription before I order 3months worth? This is my 3rd prescription that i’ve tried and i’m still having the same problem. (I only wear contacts for auditions, tech weeks, shows, and special occasions)
