Does this need rearranging?

Please be aware the camera stretches how it actually looks in some photos (hence the many angles I took), and the "floor plan" is rough and not accurate.

I like that I have easy walking access to the entire window, and would like to keep that.

I moved the draws to the bottom of my bed to see if it would look nice with my small TV there, but I'm not sure.

I may have an additional small side table to add. It is maroon, vintage with no drawers.

I'm assuming wardrobes are best where they are too keep a clear entrance, and I think leaving a small gap on the left I'd good to store laundry (as I get very messy if it's in open space).

I'm 23 so would like it to feel mature but I also have raging ADHD, so more open floor space to move around in is needed.

Ps it has under bed storage

I asked to change therapist, what next? (UK)

I have seen a trainee counselling psychologist for 10 weekly cbt-e sessions so far (10 more to go).

For the majority of it, I have felt she doesn't understand her clientele at all (yet) and any further sessions would be a waste of time, as nothing has changed for me.

I feel really bad, as I gave her no heads up or indication that I might ask to see a more experienced professional, but after my last session I decided I couldn't waste any more sessions. To be honest with you, ED therapy does not work for me however I need to stay under the service in order to receive any form of support.

What happens from here? I emailed two days ago and still haven't had a response, despite usually receiving quick replies from the ED service. I asked to pause/reschedule my next appointment until an outcome has been reached, but they only have one more day to respond before it's the weekend (my appts are on Mondays). I don't know what this could start and how quick the turnaround usually is.

I'm feeling so much guilt, but I know I had to do it. I'm honestly feeling lost because no therapy seems to help (ive had cbt-e, mantra, cft).

Normalisation of flakiness and not putting up with inconvenience

I can't stand this wave of flakiness in people in their 20s. We all get the sense of not wanting to go somewhere after we've planned it, but it doesn't mean you should just cancel. If you're not unwell, just put up with it.

I've had so many people cancel on (sober) plans because they're mildly hungover as well, but as someone who drinks and clubs a lot, i genuinely think it is rude to cancel from hangovers if you KNEW the night before that you were meeting a friend. A one off is fine in our lives - we all get too hungover at times, but repeatedly doing it is so rude.

It's the same as if you're going somewhere that requires COMMITMENT like long travel or something, and it's only 2 friends, you have to gooooo. When it's a one to one activity, cancelling is so wank. The reasons are never good enough. If you're tired then ok... just give a heads up that you'll be tired while you're together.

These aren't "boundaries" this is flakiness and not valuing friendships properly. I feel most people that do this have lots but not very close friends, so dont understand that the other person might have been looking forward to that meetup all week. Or, they are too invested in their own lives.

Huge binge before drinking later. Need support

Today i had a lot to eat at work as it was our last day (6 weeks off). It was all cakes and chocolate and I ate and ate and ate. By the time I got home I already hated how much I had but made it 10000x times worse by eating a lot more and purging too. I had a nap (which I never do) only to wake up and eat something else. When i mean i've eaten a lot i MEAN this does class as a proper binge.

I'm going clubbing later on and im really anxious. I will have to eat even more to line my stomach, as well as calories from alcohol.

I've had a bad past three days especially with late night binges but today has been the final straw.

I just need help regarding what is actually going to happen with my body? I know I will probs gain water weight yeah yeah but how much fat am I really gonna gain? and will this set me back a lot? i feel like today im eating what is normal for 3 or 4 days worth of calories. I lost weight recently which im proud of and im genuinely petrified that it was all for nothing. How many kilos would this be? im 5ft 4.5in

Beginner commercial dance classes in Manchester

I (23F) am looking for active hobbies to do each week. Sports isn't my thing and I danced as a teenager so finding a commercial dance class sounds like a good idea.

However, I've changed a lot since then and I'm now shy and extremely awkward with the idea of dancing in front of others, especially with such an expressive genre of dance. I cannot take myself seriously. I need a class that is more silly and beginner friendly, but also not ridiculously easy as if I've never danced a step in my life.

Dance fitness has always sounded like a great idea for me, but I found they're often just a really easy form of Zumba. I need something that will make me feel WOMANLY.

Minors people forget about

I have my test soon and my instructor has not been great at telling me what things i do would be minors and majors. He just tells me to correct them but things are unclear.

So far, I've found out that my need to slow down moving off and turning corners is actually a NECESSITY to avoid minors there. What else has caught people out in the past?

I also struggle to know what is allowed in some situations as I'm used to watching my dad drive, who usually does many technically illegal things.

Can the UK ED service help speed up my referral for an ADHD assessment?

I am waiting for my referral to be processed by an ADHD clinic, however it is taking a while. I am currently being treated for an eating disorder, which is strongly related to ADHD in my case and is largely why I ended up referring for an ADHD diagnosis for more tailored support.

The waiting time is long, and wondering if I were to get a letter from the ED service to give to the ADHD clinic, would this speed up the assessment process at all? or offer any form of benefit?

This isn't me trying to cheat my way through the system. My mental and physical health is deteriorating as a result of this vicious cycle, and wondering if this could warrant a quicker referral?

These bones were boiled and given to me to try out making some jewellery. On Reddit, I was told boiling them was the first mistake, which is fair enough.

Anyway, since then they dried, then I decreased them in warm water over about 1 month. They've been wrapped in a towel for 2 months (procrastination). I'm very surprised at how white they are (apart from the not-so-dry one on the left).

Do these still need Hydrogen Peroxide? I can't tell. I have some, so please let me know.

Anyway, since then they dried, then I degreased them in warm water and dish soap over about 1 month. They've been wrapped in a towel for 2 months (procrastination). I'm very surprised at how white they are (apart from the not-so-dry one on the left).

Do these still need Hydrogen Peroxide? wouls they get any whiter? Also, could it damage the delicate ones?

I have some, so please let me know.

Update: thanks to comments I'm going to degrease them again for a month or until they have no more marks, and keep on top of replacing the water regularly.

I am pathologically needle-phobic and cannot stand blood tests (I'll spare the details, just take my word for it).

The eating disorder service (NHS UK) asked for bloods in order to process a new referral, but after some time they agreed to miss this one out until I see a clinician first so that they can decide after they've met me (I would have rejected this too, but I really need the service's help and they might reject me if I don't comply).

Anyway, I met a psychologist, and without warning I soon get a letter to say I now need a physical health checkup. It says "This appointment will be for 60minutes and would routinely include checking weight / height / blood pressure and pulse, and if required bloods / ECG."

From your experience, is it likely on the day they'll say I need a blood test, and what would happen if I refuse? I'm happy to do everything else (even though I gag at the thought of doing my blood pressure). The reason I'm worried is because they already know my weight and height.

I can call them in the meantime, but I need advice. Please bare in mind I am not severely underweight, can hold down a full time physical job, and not depressed x

Trigger warning (discussing restriction and binge/purging).

I've had anorexia for years. For the first couple of years it was intense restriction, solely for weight loss. After a few years, I developed very unhealthy habits of chewing & spitting, some binging behaviors and purging. I put this down to wanting to try new foods (from my workplace) and finding a way to do it and not gain (ironically my weight sky-rocketed).

These habits have only gotten worse, but only because they are habits. I have never thought they help me lose weight, as they don't, but it has always been linked to weight control (otherwise i'd never purge!). I want to stop very badly.

I had ED therapy where we discovered that these c/s and b/p sessions, while linked to weight anxieties, are also due to dissociation. I've had dissociation problems from a young age but no one has really looked into it, just assumed it's anxiety and build up of stress.

However, as of recent, i've been made aware i very likely have ADHD (family, friends, clinicians and myself believe so). My mother, as well as a clinician, suggested my chewing/spitting and purging behaviours sound like they are linked to ADHD. For the first time, I've thought about dissociation as a symptom of ADHD, and it being my way of coping and self-regulating when it all gets too much, and it makes so much more sense. It also makes sense as to why i've maintained these habits for so long when i hate the experience really, and know isn't going to reduce my weight, when personally, my anorexia (bp subtype) is SOLELY driven by weight and not any previous trauma or control issues over food itself.

However, im also aware that most people with bulimia or b/p issues do not have ADHD yet will have similar experiences to me regarding eating behaviours.

For those with ADHD and an ED like mine, how do you know if it's related or not (my ED did NOT start as a result of anything related to ADHD, but then developed in nature over time). How do you deal with this and recover from these bad habits? I'm receiving CBT-E soon also.

I'm sick of my 8am-4pm job (school) and just the general premise of 5 day weeks and mainstream jobs. I'm planning on leaving this job after summer, however I have no clue what to do.

I'm 22F and grown up in a family of NHS and social workers, so that's been my norm, but I'm realising how it isn't for me. I'm not lazy, but i dont want a job that stresses me out so much and requires so much of my time when im not fully enjoying it. I get burned out very easily and crave novelty. I struggle to sleep early as well (a key issue with this current job). (FYI it helps to know I have adhd).

I have a degree (in specialised area of psychology), and miss academia, but also craving a creative outlet. Basically I need real mental stimulation and to feel like my job is worth while to both myself and people i work with/for. While my experience with SEN has now been negatively coloured, I believe a job with SEN kids/teens could be nice outside of the school setting. However, this is still quite mainstream (although idk all avenues).

I want to be more involved in creative things (i'm alternative so love gigs, macabre art, jewellery etc) but i'd be starting from scratch and these are typically unstable fields. I'm just really lost, especially as I don't live with my parents and my rent cannot be paid with part time work. I've thought of returning to bar work to give myself more days off, but i know this could still fuck up my sleep and im not great with rotas not being really far in advance. However it could be good for a better social working environment with more people my age. I'd like to progress my career in the future, but understanding that going back to more basic work could help me relax again and work out what i want (hopefully get some work experience in some days off every now and then e.g. animal therapy).

Any ideas? (UK based)
