First time buyer of U1 - Hoping I did ok!

Ordering Datejust from Jason and just want to see if it looks ok. This is a U1 and I understand the limitations. I tried to order a VSF from another TD but there were so many problems. I'm new to this so I decided I'd try a U1 first. I know they are not 1:1 and I know lots of people will say just save for a VSF, but I'm not ready for that. I know Jason is trusted and I don't want to come off as stupid. I'd just like to know if this U1 in the package photo is what other people get from Jason before delivery. I'm getting the Miyota movement. The first pic is what's being sent' and the second is the "ad". Thanks!

U1 smooth bezel datejust check

Ordering Datejust from Jason and just want to see if it looks ok. The bezel looks a bit fat to me, but this is a U1 and I understand the limitations. I tried to order a VSF from another TD but there were so many problems and I'm new to this so I decided I'd try a U1 first. I know they are not 1:1 and I know lots of people will say just save for a VSF, but I'm not ready for that apparently. I'd just like to know if this U1 is what a U1 should look like. I'm getting the Miyota movement. The first pic is what's being sent' and the second is the "ad". Thanks!

D.R. Harris and Terre d'Hermes smell the same

It's probably been said before, but Hermes TDH and D.R. Harris Windsor EDT smell very similar. I just got a 30ml bottle from Fendrihan for $25 on sale, which is about half the price of Hermes. I only put it on about an hour ago, so I don't know how long it lasts, but it's a nice citrus, bergamot, vetiver blend. I buy shaving supplies from Fendrihan and this is my first venture into D.R. Harris scents. I'm not sure I'll buy again, because I have a large TDH, but I would still recommend it.

Parker 51 new to me

Cleaned it and now it seems to write consistently, but a bit scratchy.

More questions from noob - really sorry - but is providing SSN to Wise to do transfer normal course of business. I've never purchased from China or used Wise before.

All in the title. Trying to buy a watch from timeultra, but having some trouble.

Ultra Time refunded my deposit with no explanation . . . I've been trying to find a TD for a VSF purchase. You guys make it seem easy!

So, I researched TDs, communicated with several, finally chose Ultra Watch and even downloaded Wise so I could transfer money the preferred way. Selected my watch, texted Ultra Watch on Whatsapp, went through the whole thing, and sent my deposit last week. Today, I get a refund for the deposit but no explanation from Ultra Watch. Is this normal?

Confused, older beginner starting the minimalist routine

I am 57 and just starting with bodyweight exercise. I've lost over 20 pounds from diet and should lose some more, but I also need to gain strength. I can't do exercise that requires speed endurance because of a heart issue, but I am good with slow and steady. I also need a routine that doesn't require equipment - something I can do while traveling at a hotel that doesn't necessarily have gym. I think I can start the 4 minimalist exercises (walking lunges, push ups, rows, squats) but the rows pose a challenge. Can I do seated resistance band rows, like these: https://calisthenics.com/exercise/seated-resistance-band-rows/

I feel like I have analysis paralysis and shouldn't read any more online, but just get one printed guide and do it. Every time I try to research what to do, there's a rabbit hole that opens up - more like a black hole - and I end up more confused than ever.

Just ordered my first rep from timeultra and dealt with Fang He (not Leo?). Transferred a deposit through Wise and now I'll wait for the QC. Thanks for the timeultra recommendation, folks.

So, I've saved Jason007 and Michael Travis stores in DHGate, but every time I try to find the watch I want, it just bewilders me and I end up with 250,000 (no joke) search results.

I want a mid tier 41mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, black dial, smooth bezel. This should be like the simplest thing to find, right?

I'm tearing hair out and spending way too much time.

So, is shitter equivalent to the junk category spelled out in the guide? I'm looking to buy a rep . . . Not sure what yet, but hoping for something reasonably close to the real thing, hopefully for under $200ish. Not a dive watch, perhaps a Milgauss or Oyster Perpetual.

I read an article about how fragrance preferences often track with generation, and as an early Gen X guy, I have to admit I’m almost a stereotype. I tend to love woody, spicy, aromatic scents. I like those early 1990s innovations that still feel modern to me, but also love those 1970s and 80s scents that remind me of an uncle that had a "Most Interesting Man in the World" vibe ("Grey Flannel"). I think my most summer scents are Cool Water, Acqua di Parma Colonia, and Terre D'Hermes.

I'm not really into the sweeter candy-ish or fruity scents, or the overly marine/metallic styles that get recommended here a lot. For example, I really didn’t like either Versace Dylan Blue or Versace Eros, even though it seems super popular with younger guys (who like to say “banger” for some reason). Another one in that lane for me is Paco Rabanne 1 Million — that sugary-metallic thing just isn’t my style. Give me Paco Rabanne Pour Homme!

Back in the early 2000s I lived in an apartment building in LA with a lot of Persians, and the halls and elevator were often heavy with lingering Middle Eastern perfumes. My neighbors clearly loved them, but for me they felt a little too dark, and have left me reluctant to really try the Arab scents, although I do like Ouds, musks, and ambers, so if there's a classic someone can recommend, I'm open.

I also can't really understand a "gym" scent - is this my Gen X thing at work? I just wear deodorant. I'm not sure I want to project a scent cloud during my routine (but I'm also only going to the gym to work out, so maybe there's an ulterior motive for some).

Makes me wonder: do other people my age end up liking the fragrances that were big when we were young or that people we admired wore back then?

I think everyone should wear what they personally like, I'm just curious about the generational tendencies.
