I’m sure there are lots of posts like this but I need advice for my bridal party. I just recently got engaged and hoping to get married in about a year. My fiancé and I don’t have a ton of friends or close friends from childhood that we would invite to be in our party. My fiancé will choose his friends and that will be fine. The problem is my side.
I always pictured that your bridesmaids would be friends from childhood or high school etc. and obviously that’s not the case because I do not talk to anyone from high school or childhood anymore. My best friend from high school that practically lived with us and we were like sisters, did not invite me to be in her wedding, so I won’t be inviting her to be in mine. The problem is, I don’t have any super close friends except for maybe one currently that I want to ask to be a bridesmaid.
I have a younger sister that I will include in my party but I don’t plan to do any “Maid of Honor”. Everyone will just be on an even playing field.
My other problem is. My current close friend, she is super amazing but she has expressed her own opinions about not wanting to get married, she doesn’t see her and her boyfriend getting married just because of the history of marriage and just wanting to be her own person. I 100% support her. However, I feel like she might say no to being in my wedding. I don’t want to create her a whole cute gift to ask her and her not be comfortable with it. How can I figure out if she’s interested in it without ruining the surprise per se?
I just don’t know who to ask to be in my party. I want more than 2 people for evenness and looks for pictures.

How do I actually find the information for garage sales in the surrounding area? Is there neighborhood wide sales? I tried to search facebook with minimal luck. I know there’s a website to search for estate sales but I’m interested in the garage/yard sales.
For background— I am a young woman who graduated in 2025 with my bachelor’s in education. I worked in special education for 5 years while obtaining my degree. I realized that I’m not interested in becoming a teacher & I worked as a special education assistant for a while. After a toxic work environment this school year, I applied and got accepted for a Customer Care Agent job with a “smaller” company. I will be answering calls and emails from customers and putting in reports for issues that the customers might have. It is like a “call center” job but the environment is not the what the typical call center might be like. It’s a sports company & I will be taking calls related to apparel and customer orders. I want all the advice on being in an office & also working from home. What can I do to make my day better, hacks for desk set up, comfy chair recs, ALL of it?! What is it like?

Is anyone familiar with the pond, walking path and skate park that is on Austin Peay hwy. The one by the police station. Does it get busy with people walking? Trying to decide if it would be a good place for my friend and I to walk our dogs without a lot of other people.
I might just be stubborn or dumb but I want to know what you guys would do in this situation. I had a canvas tote bag listed on marketplace for $10. It’s been listed for a while & I got an offer from a lady for $8. I accepted it and she decided to send me the money on Venmo and pick it up a couple days later, which was supposed to be today. I kept in contact with her, sent her my address and placed it on the porch this morning with photos. She said she would be there over lunch to get it. Now at 5pm she messaged and said she no longer needed the bag because her coworker got her one?? lol idk. but honestly I don’t want to send her the money back. I communicated with her and she was supposed to pick it up and she didn’t. I’ve had another situation similar to this & I kept the money because it’s an inconvenience to me. She just messaged and asked for her $8 back. Would you send it back to her? Idk maybe this is a no brainer. but I don’t understand.
