iPhone 16 Pro charges in car only – not charging from wall charger or power banks

Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand whether this is a hardware issue or something else.
My iPhone 16 Pro suddenly stopped charging through USB-C from wall chargers and power banks, but it still charges normally in my car.
Some details:
I tried multiple wall chargers
I tried multiple power banks
I tried multiple cables
The same chargers, power banks and cables charge other Apple devices without any issue
I also tested using the exact same USB-A to USB-C cable:
works in the car
does not work with power banks or wall adapters
Wireless charging still works perfectly
I already did a force restart
I get no liquid detected warning
The USB-C port looks completely clean (no visible dust or debris)
What confuses me is that if the USB-C port itself was damaged, I would expect it to stop charging everywhere — but somehow it still works in the car.
Since wireless charging still works, I assume the battery itself is probably fine.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Could this be:
a partial USB-C port failure?
a charging controller issue?
a software/firmware bug?
something related to USB power negotiation?
Any ideas or tests I should try before contacting Apple?
Thanks.
