Why should I not buy an Arai from the UK if cheaper than here in the states?

Hey all, looking to retire my 5yr old Arai Corsair x, and while searching, I have found several sites that I’ve dealt with in the past on small items have the awry under the UK branding for about $250 less than what we can get them here in the states for. Why wouldn’t I want to buy from the UK versus paying full price here in the United States? Am I missing something?

Look at the P226 X5 Legion

I have been watching and reading reviews of the P226 xfive legion and most people really like it, and searching price they are running about $2000 without an optic but for $500 more I could get the P211 GTO. I was thinking of putting $1500 into a 2011 like the AF Romulus - but these sigs look so good. I’m not really sure which one would be a better option.

Advice on Repair!

Hey All. So back in April I had purchased a new TH 10 10 mm by Taurus and in the process of owning that firearm I was cleaning it one day and taking the firing pin out and had a mishap where I damaged the underside of the slide and had to send the firearm back to Taurus and they charged me a bench fee of $50 to repair it. This was in April 2026 still have not received my firearm back when I called they told me they’re waiting on parts. The only part you can wait on for the Repair technically is an entire slide. There is no way to repair the slide. So today the lady stated that due to the length that it is been since they have been waiting on the part. They had three offers for me offer number one I can continue to wait for the part that is on backorder again it’s a slide. Option two they would give me 25% off of any firearm that is currently in production by Taurus and or option three is they would just send a firearm back to me damaged and at this point, I am not sure what to do. I’ve waited this long for it. I guess I might as well just wait. I don’t ever see putting another $425 into a gun that was brand new and only fired one time. What are ya’ll thoughts?

VP9 &A1

Quick HK ?

Hey all, so I have a quick question, the reason I am turning to this forum is due to the lack of inventory in my area. I have been looking at the HK VP9 A1 tactical but tonight came across a VP9 tactical and was wonder what your experience is with the two? I have read a lot of folks say they do not like the new grip texture or the lack of on the newer A1 and that they took the finger grooves away. The VP9 I found tonight is new with 2 17rd mags and is a tactical model which is nice as I do have a obsidan 9. The price is $899

Lease or buy?

Hey everybody, my wife and I are looking to simplify life in our car payment down a little bit. We currently have a 2025 Chevy Colorado ZR two fully loaded all options and our payment is about $800 a month we have never really or ever will use the capabilities of the truck so we have been looking at downsizing my truck to something more simplified in payment wise three weeks ago we picked up the new RAV4 for her as she drives to work every day about 50 miles round-trip and it has been a godsend because we did get the plug-in hybrid today. We were notified by our sales rep Toyota that they have a new CHR it’s the only one they’ve ever gotten and they are offering it to me with a $3000 rebate zero percentage interest 72 months at $700 a month. My fear is we have always leased our vehicles and I’ve never owned straight out to buy. Should I have concern buying EV versus an EV. Any input would be great..

I wish i could trade my Pnonak Ultra for Starkey

Titles says it all I had the Starkey Edge Ai24 and my Insurance said they would pay 100% for a pair of Phonak Sphere Infinieo 90's Ultra so i got rid of the Starkey's and got the phonak and boy do I wish I could sell them for the new Starkey Omega. To me the Starkey where not as bright and seemed better for noise. I also have a set of phillips 9050's that I wear more than the Phonaks.

Would you buy old new stock Lennox EL18XPV-048 dealer is say 2024

I had a quote today for the above heat pump system, my concern is spending a lot of money for a 410A system. Should I just do it? Will 410A be available for a long time?

Thoughts on this system?

Hey, all thought on this system that was quoted today. Lennox EL18XPV (@024) model new in box with SLP99 furnace fully zoned. $19k I live in Kansas City, we do have harsh winters and really hot summers. The system is a 4-ton, and I also have Solar - I am still on the grid with my solar, meaning I sell back my unused power to Evergy- Should I just go with a new 22-ser normal outdoor unit or take this deal? The only thing I do not like about this deal is that the labor shows only 1 year.

Costco and Carrier

Good morning All got a quick question for you. We are in the market for a new Hvac and have checked with other reliable local companies and have gotten several bids on the Lexes elite series. I did decide to go through the Costco spiel and had a carrier pitched to us yesterday and it is the Xfinity series with Costco‘s deal. They show you that the retail MSRP on the system is $33,000 and then all the Costco discount and then the shopping card you get back from Costco and then the executive award members you get yada yada it takes to cost down to $23K out the door then once you get your Costco rewards and all that it takes it down to $19 I believe. what is your guys thoughts is carrier truly that expensive? If I did not use Costco am I better off sticking with Lennox?

Have to replace our 2018 Builder-installed Trane as the Coil and Expansion Valve are done. The quote I am leaning towards is below. I do have a Trane quote coming in, but not sure which model. I believe it will be the True Comfort 4-ton with 100k BTU, 97% furnace.

Lennox EL22 KCV 4-ton

SLP99 99% 90K furnace

Coil

S-40 Thermostat x2

New Dual Zone controller

$21,200 before $1725.00 in rebates

House is 4k Sqft
