Do I have to play Burst before this?
I wanna play Shinovi Versus but I only have a Vita. This will also be my first game in the series. If so I heard that there is an anime of Burst, would that work too, but main question is that, is it necessary.

I actually do not know much about Attitude Era so this will be a good introduction. All these for 5 bucks at least when translating Swedish Krouns.
unrelated note I finally have all 3 COD MW games and all 6 SW movies on disc which is SICK!!
While top 4 have been like this for over a year but the rest of the list changes all the time. This is my list. I love games that focuses on gameplay, but a great narrative will always make me love it more. Im not a big fan of "Cinematic" games like Sony Exclusives. Also I haven't played some games that if I played would probably be on this list ala: Final Fantasy Dissida/8/Type-0, MGS3/4, FEAR Extraction Point, Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocture and V Vengance, Persona 2 (IS and EP), Persona 3 FES and The Darkness on 360 (it looks like something I would love).
I mainly play on PC and PS VITA
Like I really like Ninja Gaiden Black and I ADORE Xbox 360 version of NG2 and I even love Sigma 2 even tho its not as good (mostly bcz I can play it portably on my Vita when Im not home).
So now I started playing NG3 RE. It feels like the combat has lost all its weight from first 2 games, Ryu feels as light as a feather (not in a good way imo) and it feels like your cutting air. The amount of QTEs are also pretty questinoble. Don't get me wrong I love QTEs in games like Sonic Unleashed & Frontiers and GOW 3 also the Platinum Games but the problem is it feels out of place in Ninja Gaiden where they are less cinematic and more gameplay focused. I would feel the same way in DMC too. The level desing is also drastically diffrent from 1&2, not bad but you can see the influnces from Platinum Games where there are some areas where game stops or slows down to tell you the story, I heard that it was much worse in OG3. It feels like you fight some waves of enemies, go two meters and then continue fighting waves of enemies. NG2 had some similar level design but it is there is much more of a level design which variety. Also the game lost all its "Japanese" feeling. Not because it takes place in other places, just look at Tekken, but it looks like a MGS game with Ryu as the protag. Since you fight against terrorists in cities instead of demons in magical places.
Don't get me wrong if this game wasn't called Ninja Gaiden 3 and was called idk something like John Ninja: The Grand Adventure, I wouldn't mind a lot of these but it fails greatly as a sequel to the two of the greatest games in the genre. Also these are my thoughs only 2 hours in, maybe it can change after I finish the game idk. Thanks for reading and have a great day.
unlocked bro on the OG game, he been on my party like ever since. Am I fuckin Stupid?
Hey all, wannabe modder here. Recently I have gotten a VITA and I’ve been in love with this thing. I use it not just for offical games but also with homebrew ports such as DMC4 and AC Altair Chronicles. The hombrew scene for vita is geniuntly impressive and as a programming student in high school, I kinda wanna learn about it and if possible port a game or two. As a passion project you know. I have a little bit of game making experience from school but nothing like porting.
I have the following questions also Im thinking more about old android games since recomps/decomps seem like its own beast:
Is there a clear way to learn or is it more dependent on the game youre porting.
While in testing process is there a possibility of bricking the Vita, if so how are you modders take care of it.
Which programming tools are necessary and/or is it also dependent on the game.
Do you generally have to test the entire game more than once. This one is kinda stupid I know but I still kinda wonder since you don’t make a new game from the ground up.
Thank you guys in advance.
I finished the game two days ago on Warrior difficulty and already started one New game + playthrough, one Mentor mode playthrough and another one on Sigma 2 on my PS Vita when I cant play at home. What am I going to do?
Hey yall, so I have been doing a playthrough of all the games in the series started with Black and OG II so now 3 left which I heard that RE is the best way, but is there any other way than the entire Master Collection since I have already played 2 of the 3 games and not intressted in the Sigma versions. Thank you in advance.
I started to get into this genre in 2022 with Metal Gear Rising, it is also the first and only CAG that I replayed more than once, since then I have finished almost 30 to 40 different games. These range from big titles such as DMC 1-3, Ninja Gaiden 1 and Vanquish to very niche japan exclusive PS2 titles. Yet no matter how much I love a game, I will NEVER want to open them again no matter how great it was. I just feel like I would ruin the experience I had from the first playthrough. Of course there is once in a blue moon where I try to play an old game I played but get bored real quick. I just want to hear you guys, is it weird that I play this replay focused genre but never actually replay them.
Hey all, Im just finished with Ninja Gaiden Black and really loved it and wanna start with its sequel. I tried II on Xenia with patches which seems pretty stable with no audio issues like some say, I also heard that Black II got some big updates after launch that makes it similar to OGII. That version also has other playable characters and better graphics so it seems like the better game if they actually made it like OGII and not a reskin of Sigma 2 but I wanna hear you guys.
Edit: I started playing OG2 and damn it is one of the best CAG titles I have played. 3 hours in.
I just beat NGB today and while it is definitely one of the best CAG games out there and one of the most difficult it is nowhere near as hard as I heard from other people. It is really unfair in some parts but nothing too challenging, bosses were pretty easy when you know what to do (with the exception of Alma 1 & 2 and the Fire Dragon), final boss was especially easy if you had potions left. It is an intimitating but not an impossible to beat type of game which was not the case for me in Nioh 1. I also played on Normal if anyone curious, I wonder is it just me who thought this game was not as hard as others said. I would say difficulty was even easier than DMC 3 in first 10 hours or so, I think DMC3 becomes easier meanwhile NGB gets a lot harder in the second half, both are fantastic though. But my verdict would be something like a 8 to 8.5 out of 10. Can't wait to play the second game. I also wonder what do you guys think about the game and its difficulty.
I used to use my PSP as my DAP but since I got a VITA which while better at gaming it is much more clunky to use as a music device, so I decided to get an MP3 player. I heard that Echo Mini has insanely good sound quality but is clunky to use which is the opposite of Y1 (worse sound quality but easy acces). Im a casual listener with cheap IEMs so I do not really care about the highest quality, I just wanna hear everything at a decent quality where I can make out the sounds. I feel more towards Y1 with its sick UI and Ipod like design but wanna hear you guys.
I saw some of the custom themes which I adore. Im planning to buy an Echo Mini and while modding process seems simple, on the website it still talks about risks of bricking. What should I be careful of when modding and is modding the device effects the general functions. This will be my first DAC and don't wanna mess it up. I also know a bit about modding. I have modded a PSP and a PS VITA before which seem a lot more complicated compared to Mini but I still wanna hear you guys.
