My custom 5key controller with custom cherry MX arcade buttons:

Work in progress of my custom 5 key controller.

I only play 5k and casually tbh and I really wanted some kind of funky bespoke arcade style controller. I love Neon Genesis Evangelion and wanted to make something in that genre. I may make the controller more over the top but just wanted to get this base version done first. Button layout is intentionally done to feel more ergonomic when playing.

It will use 5 cherry MX reds and a pi Pico for the main board. The base plate is just a cheap bamboo chopping board.

Hope you like it

Prominent backrooms content creators?

As far as I know, Kane has been the most active backrooms content creator, but who else is notable? I feel like Kanes backrooms creative output is becoming cannon!

I'd love to know if your making any backrooms films, shorts, artwork, etc. I've really enjoyed the Kane pixels film and can't wait for the extras, but I'd love to see some other people's interpretations.

SIM card slot or esim for PS6? Here's my thoughts

With the PS6 going digital and rumoured "handheld mode" like Nintendo switch, I can honestly see it having a SIM card slot or esim for mobile internet functionality!

With their total dependence on digital I see it being like what apple does with iPads.

What this means for consumers is that mobile carriers can sell the device as a pay monthly service just like mobile companies do, they already do this with any device that accepts a SIM or esim. You pay for the device over 2 years and also a monthly fee for internet access.

I can see adoption of the platform really taking off if the cost of the system is over 2 years, consumers really buy into that, most parents I know have their kids on £1200 iPhone contracts! " Which is crazy I know"

But I'm wondering how many here would prefer to pay for an "extremely expensive" next gen console like that?

I know I would definitely prefer it.

Nintendo need to stop the "checking if you can play this" if you have a 12 month subscription!

I've just been on a trip to Cornwall here in the UK, took my switch and attempted to play some N64 games, but guess what, I couldn't, Nintendo wanted to check digital ownership by connecting to the internet.

I've paid for a 12 month sub, so basically that should be enough, but no, they insist on checking every 3 weeks or something, crazy, and yes I did just go outside and touch grass, so wasn't that much of an issue, but still, so annoying, that's the future everyone wants apparently!

If I loved the building and decoration inAnimal crossing will I love Pokopia?

I spent around 300hours in animal crossing and mainly just designing and building my town. I already had a switch 2 but sold it to get a steam deck because I just wasn't playing mario kart and bonky Kong as much as I thought. I love mario kart 8 and just went back to playing on my switch 1.

Anyways after having my steam deck for a good while now I find I'm just playing games I already own on playstation etc. I feel like I want a switch just for pokopia now and I'd be just happy playing that for the next year or more.

Seeing the amazing things people are building, I just want to do it too.

Will 3rd party developers and publishers loose total control over their game sales!

3rd party developers and publishers losing total control over their game sales if everything is digital and locked to each console store!

Will this affect how many new Devs even bother to go into gaming, at the end of the day these people are creative and if the output is too controlled they may just go and make kids shows etc instead.

I feel like we are going to lose out and less people will make small interesting games.
