The EMPI Engine Battle found itself in the middle of a little kerfuffle when, with 4 days left before the competition, announced they were changing the race fuel supply.

This presented a big problem with the competitors and looked askew to spectators, who took to the comments to share their thoughts on how unfair this rule change was.

Empi responded by going on Instagram and crashing out twice. In this segment, we review the timeline and try to figure out why Empi would make such a kneejerk rule change at the last minute?
