The rise of reform/restore is completley terrifying. And the UK's decision to leave the EU influenced by far right billionares has made things a lot worse. Although the EU has flaws, it had alot of brilliant laws to prevent exploitation for the working man and subscribed to a healthy relationship with our european neighbours.

The maga fascist is really unpredictable to deal with, but even with previous US leaders, I feel like UK politicians have always tip toed around them to keep them happy. I gueuineally believe that US leaders and their politics even now is more agressive and will eventually lead to a world war.

I wouldn't even dislike the idea of Nato if we kicked out America as Europe and Canada have way different values and are less agressive, I'd also like Nato to cease support/communication with isreal for their war crimes. I am a staunch supporter of Palestine and Ukraine. 2 countries the US is hostile against. Luckily the vast majority of the UK shows support to Ukraine. I wish more people recognised Isreals genocide.

Due to the US's influence, right wing parties are now flirting with the idea of dismantling the NHS meaning our healtcare will not be free. Universal healthcare is a human right and the people who are in a spot of bad luck will be effected the most. I will be as an epileptic, id love to thank the NHS for helping me 2 years seizure free.

They have also flirted with the idea of making guns more available. Its completley alien to me that people want this to happen. Its frightening that in the future children might have to do drills.

I also hate this forced blind patriotism, and "christian values." This is far right nationalism and this is patriot saying this. Freedom of speech allows people to have the right to not be patriarchal about their country. I believe due to this we are moving towards an age of fascism.

Note my dad isnt stupid for context the man has a Phd from a highly respected university in Chemistry so not the easiest subject.

But when it comes to technology, his logic and intelligence goes out the window. I do a masters in computer science, and of course I have more experience with systems, but even basic stuff he does not take in. He forgets the most basic stuff and is completley unorganised.

In the age of chatgpt or just simply googling (I hate AI) to find out to solve a problem, he just gives up and asks me to sort it and even then when i try and look at his phone he is insitant i show him how to do it. Which just creates arguments.

I was born in the early 00's and my first experiences of understanding tech was with booklets. Not the internet itself, so the excuse of you grew up with it is bullshit, he is smart enough to read instruction booklets. His terminology is so limited that I don't understand what problem he is having.

He currently has a low tier budget phone, which runs like a slideshow, sometimes randomly turns off and has low storage and every time he tells me to fix it everytime I explain that he needs to upgrade he gets huffy.

Passwords are annoying, refuses to use a password manager, passwords are completely insecure and everytime he writes one down on a piece of paper it is lost and he expects me to know the password.

Storage is a problem too, his phone has 32GB which is a problem as its too small in the year of 2026. And instead of deleting shoddy photos with his thumb in he insists that he keeps them. And does not want to pay for cloud storage. Tbh i don't but that's because I don't take many photos.

His new phone my mums old one has 128GB but I see that phone being filled up in no time. My mum is a bit better and actually listens to my advice despite her difficulty.
