Can anyone recommend any Luthiers or shops that could route my Mustang body for this kind of bridge setup (pictured) or does anyone have experience with requesting certain setups from Warmoth?
So I just spray painted the guitar body a few days ago and hung it up to dry. Does anyone know what these tiny bumps are? Dust?
Can I send them out and repaint? Also if I do sand it, should I wipe it down with something before repainting?
I haven’t done any clear coat yet, this is just the paint layers
Im curious if anyone has experience with these. I’m looking for a pickup that can do drop tuned modern metal but can also sound good doing grunge or hard rock. I have yet to see any YouTube videos with someone playing the Halcyon pickups with anything other than super drop tuned metal.
Excuse me for I am a newb. I have my (Mustang) guitar wired up exactly like this diagram except I’m stuck on connecting the humbucker. I have a Seymour Duncan JB that has 4 wires (and a bare) but this diagram shows only two on the humbucker.
The color coding on the diagram is a little confusing so I’m not sure where to put the wires. Does anyone know which colors represent the black and gold colored wires as seen on the diagram? I have the red and white taped together. Would the gold be green and bare?
Need Advice: Can I Fix the Neck?
So just for fun I bought a really cheap guitar and completely replaced everything in it. This is my trial run in modding guitars. Everything came out great but my issue is the plastic looking and feeling neck. It’s kind of sticky when played and really annoying. How can I fix this? Can I sand it down a bit? Respray it with something? Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations.

So I’m about to order my first guitar body and fully built neck from Warmoth. My question is: do these necks require any fret work? Or can I just put it on my guitar and it’s good to go?

I can’t find the exact color I want to paint my guitar. This blue/purple color. Which colors can I layer to create what I’m looking for? Excuse my ignorance
So I bought a new mustang style pick guard, but when I put the switches in the pick guard and tried to put it on the guitar, they are too close to the left side of the body cavity, so it needs to be expanded/cut out slightly to make it fit. Any suggestions on how to do this without splintering the paint? And what tools should I get? I’m new to this. I also thought about just taking it to a luthier.
