HTC Touch (also known as the HTC P3450 or its codename the HTC Elf) was one of first iPhone competitor introduced in June 2007. HTC Touch uses Windows Mobile OS with enhanced user interface TouchFLO designed for both fingers and the included stylus.
HTC initially making smartphones based mostly on Windows Mobile OS. The Google Sooner (HTC EXCA 300) was a prototype of the first smartphone based on an early version of the Android operating system, developed by Google in 2007. The device was never released into mass production and was intended solely for internal testing and development of Android. The HTC Dream (marketed by T-Mobile in many countries as the T-Mobile G1) was the first phone on the market to run Android. After having collaborated with Google on its Google Pixel, HTC sold roughly half of its design and research talent, as well as non-exclusive rights to smartphone-related intellectual property, to Google in 2017.
