New to TRPGs, is the difficulty frustrating?
I've read a lot of threads complaining about the brutal beginning. I got this game for Steam sale and I tend to dislike brutally difficult games. Will this game tend to be frustrating?

Was jogging alone really far out in the hills. Saw this and got spooked. Not sure if it's the same animal in all the pics.
I bought the recode trilogy, and I was interested in playing the first game. However, I played for 45 minutes before I had to do some real life stuff, and there was no save point in that entire time.
When I booted up the game there was no auto save and so obviously it wants me to play that entire 45-minute section again.
Is this something that is exclusive and unique to the beginning of the game? Or is this a game where you have long periods before saves and can get all your progress wiped out if something gets in the way?
Been farting. Nobody can tell because of the stink hot spring water.
Kind of a unique problem. I'm doing a road trip from Yellowstone to Denver. I need to have a large package delivered, can't use Amazon package center or locker, and will need to account for a 5-8 day shipping and delivery time.
I cannot guarantee that it's shipped by a particular carrier, which is required to use a post office, USPS, or FedEx. I need AI to tell me where I can have it delivered, on my route, that will align with when I will be there.
I've tried multiple times and it's just not doing anything close to reliable.
IDK if anyone has ran into this, but Amazon is the fulfillment partner for a product I bought. The product claims a 12 month warranty.
However it is impossible to contact the seller to file a warranty claim, and the Amazon Leadership Team admits this to me in a chat.
TLDR
I play on the steam deck as my only gaming device. The power efficiency is very important to me, and I've been looking into a PC build that is low power.
It seems like RDNA 5 might either be later next year and/or be subjected to the pricing crisis.
I've been trying to find either videos or articles with benchmarks on the low-power zen 4 or rdna 3 chips. There are a few, but they aren't limiting the power.
For example: many of the youtube videos show the power draw above 80w. These chips allow you to limit the power to something like 45w. This is particularly important to me because all of my electronic run off of a battery system in some way.
Does anyone have a build like this, or know of resources where this is being done?

I gave up on final fantasy 16 sometime last year. The deck is the only gaming device I have, and even with lossless scaling frame generation, this game just runs pretty poorly.
A lot of games in this category often have mods on Nexus mods that help tremendously (Clair Obscur, for example).
I tried to search on there and it doesn't seem like there's anything really popping out that would increase performance.
Does anyone know of a recent improvement that I can install to help the game run better?
I've got a permit for South Sister this weekend. I have not been able to get any information on the snow conditions for the summit route.
Anyone have recent information? Are crampons and ice axe still needed for this?
I like to use AI to help me with my health and fitness, in particular my diet and motivation.

I understand this is not for everybody, but for me personally, I like a bit of a funny/bully/tough love kind of teasing when it comes to this.

I've been trying to prompt my paid chat GPT to do this and it actually is refusing. For example I wanted to say things like, " stop being such a fat slob and go to the gym."

I am not telling it to insult groups of people or stereotype at all. This is specifically directed at me as an individual, and I'm trying to prompt it that I actually enjoy this kind of motivation.

I cannot get the AI to cooperate. Is there an AI that will do this? Again, it's just specifically insults directed at me personally as an individual - I am not trying to get it to say anything about anybody else.
I've been really having fun playing some jrpgs lately. However, I'm noticing that JRPGS seem to have a very common problem with instantly explaining the story in extreme detail. This leaves no room for speculation or mystery.
Recent examples of this for me are Persona 5 and Tales of Xillia. I won't give examples, since some people reading the post might not have played them yet - but they are really hard to stick with since they just ruin their own tension constantly.
An example of a game with some tension that allows you to speculate is the remake of FF7. A non-jrpg example is the Dark Souls and Elden Ring games.
Can you give some (spoiler free please) recommendations that let you guess at motivations/story/etc?
I'm not gifted at rpgs and always get frustrated when a game is too hard. For example I rage quit Baten Kaitos, which isnt known as a very punishing game.
I want to play FFT but I'm concerned about the difficulty. I watched a video explaining how to get overpowered using Focus in the first random battle area.
Will this ruin the game by trivializing it? Is it possible (and not unfun) to just grind a bit between the major story battles?
No spoilers please.
Many good quality of life changes to items that rely on actions you collect throughout the run.
* When you buy a weapon
* When you transmute
* Etc
I don't understand why "complete an item quest" would not apply this same reasoning. You still have to hold off on completing a quest and the chance that you may buy ToTA.
They should change this.
I have been playing since steam launch and this is my most played game by far.
Has anyone else got the impression that the average power level of PVP matchups has gone up quite a bit? It feels like they are selecting higher win rate and higher quality opponents than they used to.
Maybe it's possible that the general player knowledge is much higher and they have not accounted for it yet?
My 10 win frequency is slowly going down with each patch.
I only have a gravel bike and for certain reasons the logistics around renting a mountain bike is a little tricky this week.
I went and rode the first 15 or 20 minutes of falcon flow and it was pretty fun.
How nasty does it get? I was able to do a huge chunk of Kane's Creek and didn't really have an issue. Would it be just a miserable hike-a-bike? I've never been on the trail further than just the beginning.
