I bit the bullet. Coming from an iPhone to 11 Pro Fold

I can’t deny that I am nervous. I had previously used a 9 Pro Fold for a few weeks, but ended up returning because I wasn’t in the right place financially, and so, I kept my 15 Pro Max, and used that instead.

This time, I got a real great deal with my carrier, so I will be payment the exact same I was without a phone, but now with a 11 Pro Fold to enjoy. August 26 can’t come soon enough.

NSF fees should be capped. Telus takes a huge advantage of this.

Hi everyone!

I have been a stellar Telus customer, and I have never, not even once, missed a payment. My wife only recently was able to return to work, and last month due to my own lapse, I forgot to transfer the monthly bill amount to my bill payment account, which resulted on a NSF fee.

Now, I understand that I am at fault, but how can it be legal that their own NSF fee is $80?!? I am in no contract, but they won’t even waive or make a credit adjustment, stating my own fault.

Banks were caped at $10 per NSF, and even before, the amount they would charge was like $45-$50, and then there is Telus, that takes opportunity on people that are going thru difficult financial situations and does this.

Mind you that I am in no contract, and my monthly bill is $57.50 + tax, and the NSF in itself is more than that. What a joke! CRTC should do something about this.

Anyone willing to try and provide feedback on my app Surion?

Hi everyone!

I have been developing [Surion](https://surion.app) for quite some time. The idea came from using Lovable and Bolt.new, and then once close to publish my website, being presented with a hefty paywall.

Surion is a native macOS app that allow users to install local AI models, or bring their own API key of any supported cloud service, and generate functional websites. Surion also automatically generates tablet and mobile versions, as to be compatible with any screen size.

Surion also offers some paid plans, but the main app is completely free to use, and I would say that 70% of users would not need a paid plan.

If anyone needs any further info, you can get it here: [https://surion.app\](https://surion.app)

I will be more than happy to reply to any question.

I built Surion, a local first approach to build websites on macOS - Freemium

[UPDATE - July 27, 2026] - Surion 1.0.1 was just released with the following features;

  • New Export options: Users can now link their Netifly, Vercel, GitHub Pages and Cloudflare Pages accounts and launch websites directly to those services and update existing ones;
  • DeekSeek has been added to the API list to expand options for users;
  • A bug that would cause Live preview to not load certain pages has been fixed;
  • A bug that would cause pages to load indefinitely due to image caching has been fixed;
  • A new UI has been introduced on the Export screen.

Hi everyone,

First time poster. I am presenting Surion today as a freemium alternative to Lovable and Bolt.new.

A few months ago, I wanted to build a website, but the UI would be much more advanced than what I was capable of designing myself, so I started to look what the space for AI website builders was.

I found Lovable, and as soon as I load their main page, they come with the promise that you can build a website for free, which I fell.

I was almost done with my website, when the first paywall was presented, and I decided to just give up and close the tab.

This frustration made me think: “Why can’t I replicate most of Lovable features, but do it on my own device for free?"

I came up with Surion, an app that allows me to use free local AI models to build really nice websites, but then I faced an issue.

Local models work great on first prompt, but then start to hallucinate. To circumvent this, I used Apple Foundation model to target actual code snippets and feed the local AI models to only perform changes on that code instead of hallucinating code.

For users that are looking for something more powerful, they can use their own Cloud AI API Keys to use any AI model with Surion or get a paid plan that unlocks Surion AI, that scores the prompt and then use the best in-market cloud AI model to perform the generation, while being highly efficient, by using Anthropic and OpenAI caching systems.

The app is now live, and I would really happy if users could test and send feedback.

Download the app here: https://surion.app

Introducing Surion for macOS. Generate your own website for free, using either local or cloud AI models. No coding required. Just prompt what you want, and Surion will build it for you.

Hi everyone!

I have developed a new macOS app called Surion to build websites locally completely free of charge. Users with higher demands can either use their own AI API Keys or pay a low monthly price to unlock Surion AI.

No code knowledge is required, but a code editor was added, so more advanced users don’t feel stuck using prompts, and Surion gives users tools to make their dream website possible.

Love a design on an existing website? Surion has Visual Symmetry, just paste the website URL, feed Surion with your details, and Surion will generate a website using the same design language of the inspirational source.

Have several edits? Do it on one go with Visual Edits. Leave comments across a webpage, and Surion will fix it accordingly task by task.

Introducing Surion: A Freemium Loveable and Bolt.new alternative that generates websites locally or with the power of cloud models (Public Beta).

Hi everyone!

Today I am here to introduce Surion.

What is Surion?

Surion is a native macOS app that allow users to use the power of Local AI and Cloud models to generate and edit. beautiful websites.

Problem:

I came to this idea when I tested Loveable for the first time. I was so excited to build such a beautiful website, and then I get close to finish my website, and it paywalls me to finish.

I was disappointed, and shortly after, I came up with an idea: “What if I could build beautiful websites for free using Loveable / Bolt.new strategy?”.

The initial idea would be to release the app completely free, which it can still be used this way, but then I came up with a barrier that I simply cannot bypass right this moment. Local AI models hallucinate way too much.

I was able to make Surion spit out beautiful websites in a single prompt using local AI models, but then edits would fail badly, as the AI would hallucinate code. Eventually, I came with a solution. I would use Apple Foundation models to translate the prompt, while getting the required snippets from the code that needed to be edited, and was able to make it work.

As the project started to become more and more ambitious, I then decided to build Surion AI. Surion AI can compete directly with the same type of service Loveable and Bolt provide, but at a much cheaper tier, as my cut is significantly lower, to allow users to save, while getting awesome results.

For users who would rather use their own API keys, Surion is completely open to that, so free users can just paste their API keys and import to Surion their desired Cloud AI model to work with and spend their own tokens.

Comparison:

Lovable vs. Surion

Lovable is a browser-based web application that constructs full-stack React applications hosted in the cloud. Surion is a native macOS software application built for visual design and front-end development, utilizing local Apple Silicon processing alongside optional cloud inference models. While Lovable focuses on hosting interactive web applications directly on its infrastructure, Surion allows users to retain total control of their codebase locally, offering direct export via static files, FTP integration, or GitHub repository syncing. Surion also provides visual workflow features such as Visual Symmetry for image conversion and Visual Edit for batching UI prompts efficiently.

Bolt.new vs. Surion

Bolt.new is a cloud container platform running in the browser that builds and executes Node.js environments and JavaScript frameworks. Surion operates as an installed macOS desktop application that emphasizes visual interface creation using clean HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript. While Bolt.new relies on remote container infrastructure for code execution, Surion routes prompts and contextual indexing directly through local hardware and native frameworks. Surion gives users total privacy over their offline workspace files, flexible credit structures, and direct deployment options without locking data inside a remote development environment.

My software is being distributed on piracy website as a cracked version and I am unsure what to do.

Hi fellow devs,

I am a small indie dev, and one of my apps was cracked and then distributed on a website called MacKed.

I have sent a DMCA Takedown to Google, but this is the first time something like this happened to me. Anyone has experienced the same thing? What can I do to make sure that this version of my app is removed from the webs?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I am out of words.

Generate Sparkle 2 appcast.xml files now at export - DMGKit 2.1.0

Hi everyone,

I am the developer of DMGKit, an app that allow developers to fully customize their DMG installers, sign, notarize and staple both their app bundles and installer files with a single click.

I am sharing here v2.1.0 update for developers that might use a Sparkle 2 workflow for updates, and to let know that DMGKit can now be used to create “Appcast App Profiles” to generate an appcast.xml automatically once the DMG is exported.

DMGKit is also smart, and if it detects a mismatch between your current project and “pre-selected” App Profile, it will ask the user to either select the right profile, to create a new one, or to cancel and simply export the DMG without the appcast file.

If you have any questions, please let me know :)

Introducing Love Tap: Maximize , Minimize and cycle thru windows by clicking their app icon - Lifetime

Hi everyone!

I am the developer of Fuse Caption Studio and DMGKit, and today I am posting this demo for an app that I have been wanting to build for quite some time.

What is Love Tap?

Love Tap is a mini, powerful app that lives on the macOS menu bar, and, if working as intended, the user will even forget that is running.

Love Tap powers the Dock to do exactly what Apple hasn’t done, and in a native way. No Dock replacements whatsoever! The Dock you get is macOS Dock, and Love Tap simply expands its usage.

What can Love Tap do?

  • click on any Mac app icon: Maximize, Focus, and Minimizes single windows;
  • click on any Mac app icon with multiple windows: Each click cycles thru each window by default. Users can disable this and select each mode to have Love Tap perform;
  • longer click on any Mac app: Minimizes / Maximizes all windows related to that app;
  • Sessions: Sessions allow users with a single Mac, work, play or do any task necessary, as it is using several Macs. Simply select a start and end time, setup your Dock the way you want it, select any wallpaper (can choose different ones for different monitors if needed), choose end and start time (can also be turned on manually at any time), and watch your Mac literally replace it’s Dock to the one setup. Sessions also can allow any app to be used, or lock custom apps, or even all apps, except the ones that are on the Dock, to make sure that users keep their productivity to the max.
  • Sync: Love Tap has a sync feature to make sure that any user can setup any Rule, Session and/or settings across other macs using the same Apple ID.
  • Blacklist: Select apps to be ignored by Love Tap, so none of Love Tap behaviors affect that app.

Problem:

Current alternatives either use shortcuts that the user has to remember, setup or fully replaces the Dock to have this type of control.

Comparison:

Love Tap targets a specific design gap between existing heavy window managers and native macOS shortcuts:

  • Vs. DockDoor / DockView / iDock: These utilities focus on bringing Windows-style hover behavior to the Mac, displaying floating visual thumbnail strips and preview matrices above app icons. Love Tap adds zero visual overlays. It is entirely invisible, utilizing single/long physical click gestures directly on the native Dock icon to cycle focus or manipulate frames.
  • Vs. Keyboard Switchers (AltTab / Native Cmd + ~**):** Keyboard approaches force the user to memorize macro hotkeys and manually step through open windows one by one. Love Tap moves this entire operational payload to a single-handed, fluid mouse/trackpad Dock interaction model.

Pricing:

Love Tap - 100% free to use forever. It includes:

  • App Blacklist;
  • Window Control (Maximize, Minimize and Cycle).

Love Tap One - $7.99 lifetime. 2 seats included with extra seats available at $3.99 each.

  • Rules;
  • Sessions;
  • App Sync.

11 month old sick and I am unsure what to think anymore [on]

Hu everyone,

I hope to get some info here. My wife had to go back to work and our 11 month old got sick on Friday. He has been at a daycare.

Now, my son has always been a hungry boy, drinking 8oz of formula every couple of hours, many wet diapers, all was good. Since Friday, specially Saturday, he became lethargic. I took him to ER and the doctor said that he had likely caught a virus, but to give him Tylenol every 6 hours because he was having 40C fevers.

Ever since then, his behavior has changed, and he has been more active, but he won’t drink or eat anything pretty much all day. We try so hard, even tried pedialyte, but he refuses everything.

Today has been the worst day he drank almost a full formula bottle at 8AM and sipped water a couple of times during the day, but still refuses eating. In the last 4 hours, he only peed once, and I am worried that things are getting worse rather than better.

He cries with no tears, cries out of nothing, and I am lost for words. I booked an emergency appointment with a pediatrician that told me to come back Friday if things don’t improve, dismissing everything I just said here. He currently doesn’t have a fever, but his pee has a really strong odour.

Anyone has experienced this? Should I be concerned?

Microsoft locked business account for their own fault - what are my options?

Hi everyone,

May 2, 2026, Microsoft locked our business account related to a missed payment. We have had this account active for 10 years, and automatic payment was set up. We used this plan for our emails, Office 365 and OneDrive, which we keep backups of the last 10 years of business.

We are literally locked out and they are telling us now that they will delete what we have on our OneDrive account (which is no longer accessible) in the next 90 days.

They told us that the only way to unlock the account was to wire transfer them, which we did thru Microsoft Admin Console and they have confirmed to have gotten the transfer, but now are denying to reinstate the account unless we pay a second time, because in their words, we failed to follow their terms and conditions.

My issue with this is that I called RBC, and the bank has told us, and actually written in letter, that Microsoft has never even tried to make the payment. On their own invoice, it is stated that they would withdrawal the funds from the method of payment on file, but they never did, and that our account is in good standing and it was never our fault.

It has been roughly 3 weeks now, and they are not unlocking the account. Everything is still locked, and every day they call back with different excuses why their system doesn’t allow an account to be restored and that the only way is to pay again.

I am losing my head over this, the company is almost at a standstill because of this bs, which was caused by their own system, and I don’t know what else to do.

Any suggestions?

Today I almost met my maker

I was sleeping so well. Woke up to my pump going off. I swear that I thought the sensor was faulty. That was until I poked my finger and manually tested. I’ll be damn honest and say that I have no clue how I didn’t end up passing out.

The high I had was because my other infusion set malfunctioned while I was driving home from a big trip, got a new infusion set once was home. I did take insulin to fix the high, but I took less than I knew I should have because I knew I would go to sleep and was afraid of a low. Somehow, still got it, and it was much worse than I thought.

Hi everyone!

I have developed an app called DMGKit. It lets users fully design their installers for direct distribution and notarize both app bundles and installers (or simply installers if it is what the dev wants).

I have released a major update today which includes:

DMGKit introduces several new features

  • Privacy fields: While DMGKit operates offline and only establishes a connection to Apple servers when notarization is happening, many devs enjoy coding on a public place. To give an extra layer of security, DMGKit automatically hides Developer ID, Installer ID, and Notarytool Keychain data;
  • DMGKit now can fully notarize automatically at export time;
  • DMGKit can now notarize, sign, and staple both App Bundles and Installers;
  • DMGKit is now compatible with Swift, Python, Electron, and Tauri App Bundles;
  • Users can opt to set up --deep & --strict commands, which are recommended, but in some cases, some apps might contain frameworks and libraries that are notoriously hard to notarize. DMGKit has a hard timeout that allows users to opt to continue with those commands, notarize bypassing the --deep and --strict commands, or cancel, instead of failing, like other tools in the market. In my testing, I was able to notarize, staple, and sign incredibly hard apps, like calibre!;
  • PKGs can now be fully notarized with DMGKit;
  • SLA Injection: DMGKit now allows users to set up Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and End-User License Agreements (one, some, or all at once), to be displayed before a user can mount the installer and accept or deny the terms;
  • Full Rich Text Editor: To make sure that any terms / licenses can be fully edited within the app;
  • Automatic on-device translation and localization: I used Apple Translation and Natural Languages to make sure that translations of terms are as closely matched as possible. In my testing, I was able to fully translate my whole terms within seconds, and only have tiny mismatches, like instead of "novo (means new)" with nova (which is the same word but as feminine in some languages), so meaning was intact, but could vary depending on some words;
  • New Settings Panel: All settings now in one place;
  • Export resolution window size: Choose desired installer size from a pre-defined list;
  • DMGKit Designer: A simplified in-app sigma-like feature (to be much extended on future updates), that allows users to fully customize their backgrounds, between generating gradients or solid colours, add images, turn vectors onto stickers, change outline colour, opacity, size, rotate, and more!;
  • DMGKit Designer Templates: Users can save every design as a template file, so they can share between machines, or simply save the design to perform further changes later, or even import to use on other apps as a unique background;
  • Fully native, using SwiftUI with a beautiful glass UI (not Liquid Glass).

With this update, I have also released DMGKit Inspector, a forensic menu bar app that can retrieve data from installers before the user opens them, and provides a Trust Score and a full report, so both devs and end-users can be certain that an installer is notarized by Apple and the chance of containing any malware is low.

DMGKit is being sold at $24.99 one time only with free future updates and support.

If you would like to buy the app, use promo code DMGRED30 for 30% off. PROMO ENDS MAY 8, 2026.

  • DMGKit Designer Templates: Users can save every design as a template file, so they can share between machines, or simply save the design to perform further changes later, or even import to use on other apps as a unique background;
  • Fully native, using SwiftUI with a beautiful glass UI (not Liquid Glass).

With this update, I have also released DMGKit Inspector, a forensic menu bar app that can retrieve data from installers before the user open them, and provide a Trust Score and a full report, so both devs and end-users can be certain that an installer is notarized by Apple and the chance of containing any malware is very low.

DMGKit is being sold at $24.99 one time only with free future updates and support. If you would like to buy the app, use promo code DMGRED30 for 30% off.

DMGKit Inspector is 100% free, forever!

Hi everyone!

I am extremely excited to present you with DMGKit, the successor of NEPTUN_, posted here on this same subreddit back in February.

I heard the feedback, and decided to implement as many features as possible, while keeping the original philosophy of “one-click and done”. This being said:

Problem:

As many devs know, current apps on the market are antiquated and use very dated architectures, while others are more technical, and require the use of commands on Terminal, just to create a basic, boring DMG installer.

Comparison:

Current market solutions look like they were built in 2010, and not updated since, while also not providing a native, smooth experience.

While those apps simply notarize the installer, DMGKit allow users to sign, notarize and staple their App Bundles and Installers, while being a fully native SwiftUI app, that can sign, notarize and staple Swift, Python, Electron and Tauri Bundles.

What is new with DMGKit?

DMGKit introduces several new features:

  • Privacy fields: While DMGKit operates offline and only establishes a connection to Apple servers when notarization is happening, many devs enjoy coding on a public place. To give an extra layer of security, DMGKit automatically hides Developer ID, Installer ID, and Notarytool Keychain data;
  • DMGKit now can fully notarize automatically at export time;
  • DMGKit can now notarize, sign, and staple both App Bundles and Installers;
  • DMGKit is now compatible with Swift, Python, Electron, and Tauri App Bundles;
  • Users can opt to set up --deep & --strict commands, which are recommended, but in some cases, some apps might contain frameworks and libraries that are notoriously hard to notarize. DMGKit has a hard timeout that allows users to opt to continue with those commands, notarize bypassing the --deep and --strict commands, or cancel, instead of failing, like other tools in the market. In my testing, I was able to notarize, staple, and sign incredibly hard apps, like calibre!;
  • PKGs can now be fully notarized with DMGKit;
  • SLA Injection: DMGKit now allows users to set up Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and End-User License Agreements (one, some, or all at once), to be displayed before a user can mount the installer and accept or deny the terms;
  • Full Rich Text Editor: To make sure that any terms / licenses can be fully edited within the app;
  • Automatic on-device translation and localization: I used Apple Translation and Natural Languages to make sure that translations of terms are as closely matched as possible. In my testing, I was able to fully translate my whole terms within seconds, and only have tiny mismatches, like instead of "novo (means new)" with nova (which is the same word but as feminine in some languages), so meaning was intact, but could vary depending on some words;
  • New Settings Panel: All settings now in one place;
  • Export resolution window size: Choose desired installer size from a pre-defined list;
  • DMGKit Designer: A simplified in-app sigma-like feature (to be much extended on future updates), that allows users to fully customize their backgrounds, between generating gradients or solid colours, add images, turn vectors onto stickers, change outline colour, opacity, size, rotate, and more!;
  • DMGKit Designer Templates: Users can save every design as a template file, so they can share between machines, or simply save the design to perform further changes later, or even import to use on other apps as a unique background;
  • Fully native, using SwiftUI with a beautiful glass UI (not Liquid Glass).

Pricing:

DMGKit will have a price increase, from $3.99 (NEPTUN_ previous pricing), to $24.99.

It is a lifetime license with access to every update to be released in the future and full support.

Current NEPTUN_ users will be fully upgraded free of charge, simply use the same key as NEPTUN_ if prompted, while for a week, whoever buys from this post, gets 30% off, by using code DMGRED30.

PROMO ENDS MAY 8, 2026.

DMGKit Inspector:

DMGKit has a companion app that can be used fully solo. It is completely free and is a great menu bar app for both devs who want to be sure that their App Bundles and Installers are fully notarized and up to standard, but to end-users as well, as Inspector provides a Trust Score and a full report of the Installer before the need to run it.

DMGKit Inspector is a Forensic tool, not an Antivirus.
