With the 10th event on the horizon, I thought it'd be fun to predict how the next events could go. As a preface, I'm also assuming these will loop back after the 12th one, as to (essentially) have 1 event per months (hopefully they made the event windows bigger too). But without further ado:

• August 4th-11th - Resort Layer (DK Coin + Kiddy Kong), probably gonna focus a lot of eating fruit and water skipping
• August 25th-September 1st - Feast Layer (Hoofer + Zebra Bananza), in the same way the Canyon Layer was a Kong Bananza-focused event I predict that the Feast Layer will heavily feature Zebra Bananza
• September 15th-22nd - Lagoon Layer (Funky Kong + Candy Kong), big focus on surf surf and it matches to have Kongs in the layer smattered with simian decor

I'm curious to hear your thoughts. How do you think the next events will shake out?

There's a good deal of speculation about what the next Digiverse collab will be. Unfortunately, I think Two Point Studios made a very bad pick this go around. I have on good authority that they decided to collab with >!Party Animals!<

Yes, the same game that attempted to host a GenAI video contest and made an "apology" response that multiple parties confirmed was written by a GenAI chatbot.

My ire comes from the fact that the developers are pretty clear that they don't want to promote GenAI in their games at all. The latest DLC even parodies ChatGPT. So going on to collab with the very pro-GenAI >!Party Animals!< makes me think it's a rather hypocritical call.

It's probably too late for anything to change now, but I really wish the developers screened their collaboration partners more (Dave the Diver already used GenAI for translating their latest DLC).
