Tapering

Looking for individuals who have tapered off of Pristiq and curious how fast you did it and how it was.
I have been on this medication for 15+ years now and I am ready to stop.
I found a compounding pharmacy in my city who compounds into slow release capsules but they do require a prescription from my doctor to do so. I plan on telling my doctor how fast I want to taper. I was thinking of tapering 5% each week.
I’m currently on 50mg if that makes any difference.

I currently use MAC Studio Radiance Foundation and absolutely love it, but I’m looking for something with a little more coverage while still giving me that dewy, glowy finish

Advice/Opinions Needed

These are my current glasses. I’m looking for opinions on whether or not they even suit me, and if they don’t, what would you recommend?

Am I the only one losing my mind over the trash dumped on every boulevard in this city?

I need to vent. Is it just me, or has the city completely given up on basic sanitation everywhere you look? It’s bad enough on the street level, every single boulevard and grass strip between the curb and sidewalk is treated like a landfill. Fast food wrappers, coffee cups, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, tossed right into the grass. But what pisses me off even more is that the local trails are just as bad. You go for what’s supposed to be a nice walk on places like the Etobicoke Creek Trail, expecting a clean path, and it’s surrounded by litter blown into the brush and sitting on the path edges.

I blame this on people being disgusting of course but I also think it’s the lack of public garbage cans on street boulevards and trail stretches.

I have a 6 month old dog, which makes this ten times worse. As anyone with a puppy knows, grass and brush aren't just nature to them, it’s a treasure hunt, and his main mission in life is to vacuum up every single piece of biohazard garbage hiding.

I have lost count of how many times I have to say “leave it” or “drop it” on a single walk. Thankfully he knows this command but a casual neighborhood or trail walk isn't even enjoyable. It’s a high stakes game of keeping him off the grass while scanning every square inch. And when I bag his poop I end up having to carry a warm bag of dog shit for what seems like forever because there isn’t a single garbage bin around.

People always complain about littering, and yeah, people should hold onto their trash. But maybe if the city actually placed garbage cans along these high traffic boulevards and along the trails half of this junk wouldn't end up rotting in nature.

Update: Attending my first Indian wedding reception — Leaning towards a lehenga now, but still need advice

Hi everyone! I previously posted asking for advice on wearing a typical Western formal dress to my first Indian wedding reception. After reading through so many helpful suggestions and seeing how stunning traditional attire is, I’ve completely fallen in love with the idea of wearing a lehenga. It’s definitely outside my usual comfort zone, but they are just so beautiful!
Before I make a final decision, I’d love your input on a few things:

  1. Is this lehenga appropriate?

  2. Colour conflict: The groom is my boss’s son, so I don’t know the bride or groom personally. I know red is traditional for brides, but are there other colours I should strictly avoid as a guest to make sure I don't clash with or accidentally match the bride?

I really want to be respectful, dress appropriately for the formal dress code, and fit the occasion without overstepping. Would any question why this white girl is wearing a lehenga? 🤣

Attending my first Indian wedding reception and need help

Hi everyone!

I’m attending my first Indian wedding reception soon and would love some advice. The dress code is formal, and the invitation says Indian attire is optional. I’m not Indian, so I’ve decided to wear a dress rather than traditional attire.

Should the dress be satin? Could i get away with wearing chiffon? The reception is September 5.

I’ve attached a few green dresses I’m considering. Are any of them appropriate for an Indian wedding reception, or is there one you’d recommend over the others? I was planning to wear it with black or nude heels and gold jewelry.

I want to make sure I’m dressed appropriately and respectfully while still fitting the vibe of the event. Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if anyone can provide me with Canadian links to purchase a dress that would be great too! I’m having a difficult time finding something in my price range of under $200.

Renter Friendly Flooring Options

I rent and plan on being here for at least 5 years, if not longer. I hate the flooring that is in the kitchen (the same flooring is in the bathrooms). It’s shiny white tile, with thick/deep grout lines. There’s also cracks in some of the tile. I want to cover the floors with something renter friendly that can be easily removed if/when I move. Based on my research loose lay vinyl flooring may be the easiest/cheapest option. Is this something I can lay right on top of the tile? Or is more prep needed? Will it hold up against a dog?
