Article- ‘College student by day, delivery boy on Sundays’: Bhubaneswar student supports family after father’s death https://indianstartupnews.com/news/college-student-by-day-delivery-boy-on-sundays-bhubaneswar-student-supports-family-after-fathers-death-11857508

On most Sundays, while many college students in Bhubaneswar sleep in or spend time with friends, one young boy rides through the city delivering quick commerce orders with a Blinkit bag on his back.

For him, the job is not just part-time work. It is how he pays for college, supports himself and sends money home to his widowed mother living nearly 150 kilometers away.

The student's story went viral after X user and entrepreneur Manas Muduli shared a post describing his conversation with the delivery worker.

"Sundays are full work days for him since college remains off," Muduli wrote in the now widely shared post.

According to the post, the student lost his father about a year ago. His father had worked at a small private company and reportedly left behind no pension or savings for the family. Since then, the student has taken up delivery work while continuing his studies in Bhubaneswar.

"Today, he is managing his studies and expenses in Bhubaneswar through hard work and dignity, while also sending some money back to his mother," the post said.

Best of luck guys👍

As a keynote for aspirants waiting for UPSC Prelims this Sunday, IFS officer Muthuarasi Murugesan shares a small but powerful reminder from her own journey.

Drawing from years of struggle and preparation, she reflects on what truly decides success in the final stretch.

Muthuarasi reminds aspirants that the exam is not just about knowledge but also about calm execution under pressure. Many lose marks not because they do not know the answers, but because panic takes over at the beginning. Even if the first page feels blank, she says, hold your nerve and keep going till the end.

Staying steady when the paper feels tough, trusting your preparation, and maintaining focus throughout can completely change the outcome.

She recalls her own journey, saying, "There were so many days when I felt completely empty, stuck, and honestly, pretty hopeless. But I kept going because this dream was the thing I cared about."

In 2020, she learned her hardest lesson: do not panic. She cleared the exam by just 0.6 marks, showing the importance of completing the exam and each single mark.

In 2021, CSAT became a wake-up call, never to be taken lightly.

In 2022, she overcame that fear and rebuilt balance in her preparation.

By 2024, she walked into the exam with just 15 days of preparation but with strong confidence built over years. She shows that belief and preparation together can still change the game.

Her message is simple but sharp: trust your preparation, stay calm, and fight till the very last question.
