risk of applying for military with past weed use

clean now, but are there any risks as a gc holder for applying for military when there is a history of smoking under medical file? (they will go through all medical files)

For those who joined as guard/reserve first, do you regret not going AD first?

28 and am thinking of military (air force)

I don't have a career but I do want to start a career. I want a civilian career, not a military career.

I know people say if you don't have a solid career, go active but for me, I'd like to stay where I am at and figure it out as I'm in reserves/guard

My goal is to work for the government or state. I'm hoping going reserves will give me that extra point when applying for a job or help me get a certification for a job.

Will I regret this? Could anyone who joined reserves/guard first share their experience?

feeling self conscious

Hi all, I was able to connect with a local leader online & they're saying they'll give me a tour of the site but they don't know that I'm a woman & I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm a guy.

It's a very male dominated field (water) & I'm worried they'll laugh at me when I show up since I'm 5'2 and very skinny and I'm soft spoken

I didn't mention that Im a female since I don't want any special treatment but now I'm worried they'll be disappointed when I do show up to a tour.

I know I am capable of doing things well but to be fair I'm just getting into the field and can't help but feel self conscious

I will show up but can anyone share their experience? Do you think I should've mention I'm a woman?

thinking of taking both and plan to use AWC. Can taking one 36hr course satisfy for both requirements or do I have to take one each for each exam?

Realized he's the one too late

He's married now so I won't be reaching out in any way & not hoping to get back with him at all - just trying to vent is all because I have nowhere to go.

He was the one and I was a fool.

We have a large age gap. I was so young at the time and I thought it'd be unfair for me to be with him when I wasn't sure I wanted to settle.

It was the most genuine relationship I've ever had, and when I was happiest. Being with him made me happy. He made me happy.

I fucked up and I broke up with him. He wanted me back badly, I refused thinking it was for the best.

He was devastated and I left him be and I don't know if I will ever forgive myself for this.

It's been years and I've realized he was the one and I was a fool.

I don't have anywhere to talk about it so just wanted to vent on here about how stupid I was.

small female interested in fire prevention inspector

Hi all,

I'm thinking of a career change and wanted to ask around about becoming a fire inspector.

Does being a fire inspector require lot of heavy lifting? (NOT saying I'm not willing to put in work, but I also don't want to be in the way if I'm unable to do things)

Is this a field I can get into without having a firefighting experience?

Any advice is appreciated.

Military officer with green card?

I just got my gc and am considering joining the military. I already have a bachelor's so I don't want to just enlist, but I'm assuming I'll have to wait to become a citizen to apply for an officer?

Normal for menudo to smell?

I've had menudo a few times now, and the ones I had didn't really have a strong smell to it. Today I went to this one mexican restaurant and ordered menudo and it stank like pig's ass & was really hard to eat

Is this normal for menudo? Maybe that's just how it's supposed to be and I just didn't know??
