Got a 95 in a 75 ticket in Texas after just doing defensive driving for another ticket..what are my realistic options?

I’m 20 and just got a speeding ticket in Texas for 95 in a 75 on US-290 between Houston and Austin at night with light traffic. The problem is I literally just completed defensive driving for another ticket like 2 weeks ago, so I’m pretty sure I can’t use that again.
The ticket is through Lee County JP court. Fine looks around $284. I’m mainly worried about insurance because I’m currently on a really cheap family Progressive policy and I don’t want this to destroy the rates for everyone. I’m considering getting a traffic attorney mainly to try to get deferred disposition/deferred adjudication or
possibly delay/reset the case for a while. Is that easy to get??

Why did Hector not get his own treatment?

Just finished BCS for the first time and through the show I wondered why Hector never got his own treatment and just relied on the doctor Gus brought in who said that Hector could regain his walking and speaking abilities with more treatment but Gus just took her away one day? What causes and traps Hector to just be in NM? Wouldn’t he be better off in Mexico with family and better treatment? Instead of being tortured in a nursing home. Am I missing something?

Does ECEN give prerequisite overrides?

Howdy, currently planing my degree plan for the next two years and I’m having a conflict with a technical elective. I plan to take ECEN 325 in spring 2027 and 326 in Fall 2027, however I want to take ECEN 474 in Fall 2027 but 326 is a pre requisite and isn’t offered in Spring 2028 which will be my final semester. Does anyone know if ECEN department is understanding with overrides? Or am I just supposed to not take this class which I’m really looking forward to as it will help in the field I’m choosing? Or graduate a semester late 🙃?

Fast Track program ECEN

Howdy, I am interested in ECEN fast track program and was wondering if anyone has done it before and can share their experience. I just finished my sophomore year and want to start looking into masters possibly, my only concern is getting my gpa to 3.5. Is that a hard rule for fast track? Also is it possible to do masters in 1 year with it? Is it best to apply after or during junior year? Would really appreciate any feedback.

Project ideas for the summer

As the title says I’m looking for project ideas to work on over the summer to boost up my resume. I am a sophomore EE about to enter junior year with no internship and really want to land a big one next summer. Any ideas to help standout? I am interested in VLSI and embedded systems and deciding which field to pursue post grad. What could I work on this summer and what materials will I need?

Howdy, I am currently about to complete my sophomore year of undergrad at a top 15 public engineering university. I had lately been thinking of pursuing a career in patent prosecution or litigation or something in the law field. I am either considering going into masters right after undergrad then a few years in industry before law school or just directly going into industry after bachelors and doing law after a few years. Is 3.5+ and a higher lsat good enough got law school? Also how is the work life balance of patent attorneys? Is masters worth it? What’s starting work and pay like? I would like to work in the semiconductor field in anyway so I believe a masters would help tremendously. Any thoughts would help!

Howdy, any aggies on here in the chip design/semi conductor field? I’m a ELEN sophomore with no internship lined up this summer and stressing over the fact if I can break into the market next summer and post grad. Any tips and advice?

Hello, I am currently a sophomore attending a top 15 public university for electrical engineering in the US. I will most likely not land an internship this summer and am worried about my chances of landing one related to chip design in my junior year as my gpa will probably be around a 3.2-3.3 which is not great. Does anyone have any tips to somehow break the market with no previous internships? I am aiming to build a few projects this summer and try to get research next semester. Is masters the only way to get in?
