How to cope with not being your “fantasy self”?

I’ve spent so much money on hobbies that I could never stick with. I’ve done glass blowing and spent thousands on that, and I have thousands of dollars worth of fabric and sewing supplies and I haven’t sewn for over a year because of depression. I’m actually quite good at it and went to school for fashion. I feel so guilty everyday and avoid going into my room with my sewing machine because it just makes me feel guilty and I end up just watching TV and avoiding things.
Does anyone else relate to this?

Buy now or wait?

Should I wait to purchase these or do you think the 25% off will be the best it gets for awhile?

Is it wrong to feel this way?

I just moved to the top floor of my apartment after living on the second floor under some very noisy neighbors. I have rugs down and always wear slippers and absolutely never wear shoes inside. I’m ready to be a good upstairs neighbor!
However..
The people under me are very loud and whatever their kids are doing is shaking my floors. I feel bad for whoever lives under them. Like genuinely with how much I can hear and feel I can’t imagine what it sounds like from above.
It makes me not want to put in as much effort to be extra quiet. Like walking lighter and such.
It doesn’t seem like they try at all to be good upstairs neighbors so I just wonder if they deserve to have a good one lol. Idk I just keep thinking about the people who live under them and how I’ve been in their shoes. They probably get no peace as these floors don’t do much to block noise.

Genuinely I’m not going to start walking heavy or anything, I just want to vent.

Who else is obsessed with this scent??

I accidentally received a bottle of whipped sugar & milk in my package a few days ago and I haven’t been able to stop using it. It’s amazing. It smells nostalgic, sweet, and comforting. I haven’t loved a fragrance like this in a long time and I had to grab more! So glad I was accidentally sent one with my package lol.
Also got some vanilla mousse - hoping this is a good blind buy!

New Remedy Worked!

Hi all! I have never visited this sub before but I just had to let everyone know that if you have a plantar wart and nothing has worked - this might!

I’ve had a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot for about 3 years now and nothing worked after treating it as much as possible - not even the stuff my derm gave me.

A few weeks ago I saw a video talking about a study that was done where you submerge your wart in a bowl of SUPER concentrated salt water for 30 minutes everyday and I think it works for like 80% of people they said.

I did this every night for almost two months, alongside using an exfoliating device and sleeping with salicylic acid on my wart covered by a bandaid and my wart is now completely gone. Nothing leftover at all. There were some nights where I would swap the salicylic acid for apple cider vinegar and I think that also helped a lot. This could take longer for some too.

I hope this can help someone out there as it did for me, don’t give up!

Feel free to ask any questions!

Shameful AI Use

Hi all! This is my first post in this sub.
Within the last few weeks I started using AI to help me get answers to finding the “perfect solution” to things. It started with coming up with a good mixture for my hair bleach and now I can’t stop asking it what product is best or what option I should choose for different circumstances.
I know it’s really really stupid and I’ve always been against AI since I learned about the repercussions it has. But when I Google things and it has those AI answers it allows you to ask further questions and it’s just spiraled from there.
Not trying to excuse my use of it in any way, I would be so embarrassed if anyone I knew found out that I’d used it, especially for getting validation for my OCD.
I’m wondering if anyone else has gone through this or if they have any advice. Thank you for reading.

[Product Request] Looking for an SPF powder to put on top of my sunscreen!

Hello! The sunscreen I use is really good, but if I don’t put makeup and powder on top of it it just looks greasy all day. I would like to know if there are any good sunscreen powders that I can apply on top to manage the oily look. Also–I’m totally aware that sunscreen powders are not super effective, I just need it for mattifying purposes plus it probably adds at least a smidge bit of extra protection.

Adapalene to Tret

Hi all! I’ve been using adapalene 0.03% every night for 12 weeks now - used it for 6 weeks not every night before that and I haven’t seen any improvement with my acne, I’ve actually started breaking out more in places I haven’t before and have a lot of PIE. I have noticed that my skin has that tight-glowy affect though so I know it’s doing something, just not with my acne?

Do you think I should keep going to hit the 16 week mark, or try something different?

I apply it to clean skin every night and use a light gel moisturizer and SPF 50 in the morning - both from the Skin1004 brand.

Interstitial Cystitis

Hi all! I have been Ureaplasma free since late September 2025. For two years before that I thought I had interstitial cystitis bc my symptoms would only flare around the time of my period and the doctors never tested for anything other than UTI. After an amazing doctor randomly tested me to be sure it wasn’t anything else, I tested positive for urea and now every time I see someone talk about having IC I find it so hard to not suggest they get tested for urea bc I feel like it has to be more common than people think, right?

I’m wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or if they think it’s probably not a common misdiagnosis.

Boric Acid

Can I use boric acid to help with my PH levels? I am waiting on my test results but was told my PH is high so I’m wondering if using it would help with symptoms until I know what’s going on. Is it bad to use boric acid with a current (possible) infection?

Possible Reinfection

Hi all. I posted on this sub around September last year when I was infected with Urea. I took Doxycycline for 7 days twice a day, as did my boyfriend. We both tested negative and things have been mostly okay aside from some lingering symptoms of more frequent discharge.

I’m back here again because about 5 days ago I started having symptoms of what I thought was a UTI so I went to get tested and made sure to ask for a BV and urea and mycoplasma swab with it. UTI came back negative and I won’t get my results for the urea for at least a week.

My symptoms are actually much tamer than when I had it the last time, but I also had it for a really long time from being misdiagnosed so that probably didn’t help. My only symptoms are some mild discomfort after peeing and some mild burning that’s kind of constant.

My doctor said my PH was abnormally high and that she wouldn’t be surprised if it was urea.

If I do test positive again will I absolutely need to take
azithromycin since I would be reinfected, or would 14 days of doxycycline twice a day be enough? 7 days worked for me last time.

Feeling pretty discouraged as I thought this was in the past, and I have no idea how it could be back. What can cause this to happen?

Really appreciate any support right now. Thank you for reading this.
