When it comes to Lume do you get what you pay for or you are paying for Brand and source?
I am looking for Lume some hands and started looking and the Chinese kits are like 20 bucks the Esslinger just the Lume powder is 180ish for 1g. DIY watch club kit with single color is 150ish is that normal? How long does 1g last is it like the oils that 1g is going to last a life time?
Why can’t i get any bezels off using this tool without damaging them?
I have seen videos and looked up how to use it etc. everyone else just puts the watch and the bezel pops off i have mangled 3 bezels on practice cases so far. I have tried every which way and i think the first time i tried to get the bezel off it came right off not sure what kind of watch it was. I have multiple invicta cases that i used the movements from so they are just practice pieces and as you can see i think i am doing everything like i am suppose to but no matter how much force i put on the screw the bezel will not pop off if I continue to try it bends the bezel and ruins it but it does come off.
Bought some Moebius 8217 in small quantity but looking into Kluber as well where do you source yours from?
I see a lot of people selling small quantities of Moebius but Kluber there was one guy on eBay and they want 50 dollar for 0.25ml which seems high. I understand a stick of Kluber may last me a life time but 180 dollars is still a lot. Any one know how to source small quantity for a reasonable price?
Is there a place to find working manuals for rep watches? I am trying to put together a super clone of DD324 and all the videos on YouTube are useless
I make videos on when i am working on watches and i took video and pictures etc. but i am still having hell of a time putting it back together. I put some stuff together and than realize something was suppose to go underneath and have to take it apart so 2 steps forward and 3 backwards kind of situation. I know there are super clones of other watches like 4131 for Rolex but are there any service manuals of these reps or you create them as you go?
i know the rule is do not mess with the dial but i just need to clean residue off a brand new dial please help

Why can’t i get this minute hand to go on the watch? It is a Waltham pocket watch
If i press it down hard enough it catches but then flies off. It is size 16 Waltham the pocket watch. Do i need to buy a bigger hand pusher? i have watch size hand pushers.
Pocket watch minute hand keeps flying off
I serviced a Waltham and the hands are pretty bad looks like they were painted but any way the issue i am having is i got the whole watch working but for the life of me can’t get the minute hand to go on. It goes on if i press it really hard but than pops off and shoots off the watch. I am pretty sure the hand was on the movement when i started. I have used tweezers, watch hand pushers, flat side of the tweezer. Do I have to heat them up and push them on? They are also flat they don’t have the ring you usually have for minute hands.
I know these are not a lot of money but I just picked them up and can’t wait to get them going again
Is this shallac or some other glue?
I am working on a Swiss movement and the hair spring is not tethered. It looks like It had this white glue holding it. I thought shellac was always yellow/orangish in color is this something else. Can I use a drop of super glue instead as I have never worked with shellac before.
Should I save and service? Found it on Market place.
Seller was asking 150 but than could not get the watch to work so I told them 50 as the case looks silver but not sure. I like to service / troubleshoot old watch movements so it will be a fun project? I don’t see a complete set for sale online so not sure what do you guys think? Thanks for any help or guidance.
Bought polywatch from Amazon 2 tubes for 10 dollars did i get scammed?
First the bottles came in a plastic bag, 2nd almost more than half the tube seems empty. Third it is not doing anything on the crystal / glass i am trying to fix. It is from an old Guess watch nothing expensive so it is def not a saphire and the other two i should be able to polish right? I have spent about 20 or so minutes of hard and soft polishing and it is still all scratched up. Two question could I have gotten fake Poly? Is there a glass Poly does not work on other than saphire? How hard am i suppose to be pushing? In 20 min i made before and after and dont think it made any diffrent it is a lot smoother when i slide my finger on the glass. I tried tapping on it but not sure what to expect so not even sure what am I suppose to be hearing. I did do the water droplet test and it does expan on the cheap Guess watch and makes a perfect bead on my gen Rolex.
Watch Collectors of Patek, Journey and other high value brands where do you keep the boxes that are usually enormous in size?
Do you keep them in your closet with the watches or they go in a basement storage unit some where not to be seen? Or do you even keep the boxes? Just wondering.
5 Axis Desktop CNC machine - would you get one? $5900.00 for now but i am sure it will go down in price
I been following the evolution of these machines and the latest one i am seeing is a desktop CNC machine that works with Aluminum, Steele, Wood, Titanium and even Jade. I can see this coming in very handy for replacement gears or cases or crowns etc (unless they outlaw it like they are trying to do with 3D printing). This machine is out of China so it will not have the same Bambu Lab big brother type setup. What else could you think of using this for?
Did some one make a Speedmaster with the correct sub dial spacing?
Just saw a post on omega watches and than the OP deleted the post.it had correct dial spacing but it also had a screw down crown it was the 50th anniversary blue.
