Struggle with meal planning - but I have access to large farmers market and would like to use it

Looking for some advice.

I, like a everyone else, struggle with weekly meal planning for my family. It's so bad now that my mind literally goes blank and we end up resorting to not eating anywhere near as good as we should.

I work close to a huge state Farmers Market, and I have this dream of being able to use it to regularly buy fresh local veggies, meat and fruit. But every time I go, I'm completely overwhelmed by the quantity of what's on offer, the amount of farmers selling the exact same stuff, and (more importantly) how to fit any of it into a weekly family meal plan so nothing goes to waste.

I guess I don't know what my exact question is other than asking for advice from people who have developed a solid plan and process for meal planning, and integrating a local farmers market into it. Any thoughts, help or input is welcomed!

I built a Catan strategy guide online (for beginners, probably!)

I fed Claude as many online strategy guides as I could find, including the rules for the base game, and then built my own central online app to review and learn from. Feel free to take a look:

https://catan-site.vercel.app/

It's obviously better suited a beginner, but I'd love to hear any thoughts on what could be improved and added (or anything you disagree with in the strategy)! I can make changes quickly. I only own the base game right now, but plan to add Seafarers and others to the mix as soon as I can, so I'll plan on adding versions of those strategy guides too!

My daughter got one of the set lists last night! Wilmington N1

My daughter got the set list at Wilmington N1!

I took my three teenage daughters to Wilmington last night - we’ve been wanting to see him for ages, and my daughters have fallen in love with his music as much as I have.

Anyway, my eldest was given one of the set lists at the end last night! We were so pumped. Going to frame it, alongside the tour poster. Does JW write them himself? I assumed he did. And is each set list a copy? Or hand written? I had assumed they were handwritten but my wife thought they’re probably copies. Not that it matters too much!

Anyway, man JW is superb live. He and the band was rocking it last night. I loved how he came out in just a pair of shorts and literally nothing else! The man is a legend.

Been in Apple ecosystem for decades. I can’t figure out the HomePod

I’ve been in the ecosystem for as long as I can remember. MacBooks, Apple TVs, iPhones, watches, etc etc.

We’ve always used Alexa in the kitchen but I saw a HomePod mini being given away in our local community FB page, and I grabbed it so we could get rid of Bezos in our kitchen.

However, doesn’t matter what I do or try, I cannot get it to work with anyone else’s voice than mine. We use it primarily to add stuff to the shopping list, and as soon as someone tries, it just says we need to setup another user in settings (or something like that, I’m paraphrasing). There are five of us in this household - I just want anyone to be able to say to it “hey siri, add the damn potatoes to the shopping list”.

Also, of course when you say “hey siri”, every Apple device withjn a damn mile starts listening and tries to talk to you.

What am I missing? Is HomePod not a good use case for this? Is there a way to simply have it work with anyone who speaks to it? Or do I need to put it back on the free community site?

Help! Thank you!

Insights into adding my iPhone as a digital key?

I have the ‘27 X-Line SX. It came with free three years of Ultimate membership in the Kia Access app.

How on earth do I add my iPhone 15 Pro Max so I can use it as a digital key? Surely I should be able to do it right? I’ve looked up and followed multiple versions of the instructions - I’ve sat in the car with engine on, phone and key in hand. There is no option to add a digital key either in the phone app or on the console in the car. Bluetooth and WiFi are on, I’ve restarted devices etc.

What am I missing? Has anyone been able to successfully do this?

Help!

Signed deal remotely, going through it with Finance Manager on phone tomorrow - what can I expect?

I finalized a lease deal late this afternoon, and the Finance Manager is calling me tomorrow morning to go over everything. They're driving the car down to me after. What can I expect from this call? What does he go over?

Can I expect him to try and sell me stuff? If so, what would he try to sell so I can be ready for it?

Do most/all dealers allow remote signing and shipping?

I'm in the middle of negotiating a lease with several dealers, and one offered me remote signing and driving the car down to me (I'm only about 25 miles from them). This was a revelation to me as I was expecting to have to go in and sign once we'd come to agreement on numbers.

Is remote signing on a lease something that most/all dealers will offer if asked? If so, it's my new standard going forward and I'll never have to set foot in a dealership again (unless I'm test driving)!

Please look at the deal I'm considering for Telluride Hybrid X-Line SX in the South east. 36/12k, nothing down

I've been working with multiple dealerships, pushing for the best price. This is the best one so far.

Is it true dealers can't negotiate the lease buy rate?

I'm negotiating with several Kia dealerships right now on a '27 Telluride Hybrid. They're charging me 8.3% APR on the buy rate compared to Kias 5.8%.

One dealership is telling me their rate comes from the manufacturer so there's nothing they can do on it.

Is that true?

Edit: Am I in the wrong sub? Why did I get downvoted? I was just asking what I thought was a fairly innocent question.

Is there somewhere I can find live monthly lease payments signed?

If I wanted to see recent monthly lease prices for different models, is there anywhere I can find that? For example, what are the best deals people have got this month for '27 Kia Tellurides and '26 Hyundai Palisades? I know it's region dependent but does this kind of data exist?

Advice on what to look for on a 2006 TJ

There's a 2006 TJ with 172k miles for sale pretty cheap near me. Got some photos, but nothing on the frame (for seeing rust, etc). Only main thing in the description other than sales fluff is "It may need some tinkering with to get it at its 100%".

I've sent a message asking what that means.

If I go see it, what kinds of things should I be looking out for on a 2006 at 172k miles? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Anyone have experience with dogs in the back of '27?

We're evaluating 3-row SUVs, and like the Telluride. Part of what we're evaluating is the trunk space (which I know is not super great on any of the 3-row SUVs). We sometimes want to put our two medium size dogs in there while keeping the 3rd row usable.

Does anyone do this in their '27? A solution I wondered about was whether you lower one of the 3rd row seats to give the dogs extra room, but I need a way of keeping the dogs contained in that area and not climbing over the seats and the rest of the car. Does a cage/grate type solution exist for this?

Thank you!

How to deal with "dealer added options"

All the trims I'm looking at have $1396 of dealer added options: All weather mats $399; Window Tint $499; Nitrogen Fill tires $199; Door Edge Guards $299.

Is it possible to just say I don't want any of that, remove them? the mats and potentially the guards could be taken out right? But am I right in assuming the only thing they could do about the tint is remove the fee?

Where do I find brokers on the site?

Hi, where do I find the brokers on the Leasehackr website? I find the site a little tricky navigate. I’ve tried searching forums and it’ll bring up stuff form 2022, etc. (I’m a paid member).

Is there a dedicated section I’m missing? Thanks!

I know Linkedin isn't compatible with OE, and I know the advice around hibernating/deleting it, etc. I hate LI and wish I could, but my (mostly OE friendly jobs) needs to use it. So I'm looking for some pragmatic advice from others in the same situation.

I've had a couple LI accounts previously which is obviously against the T&Cs, and it had been working for a long time. However, I started making some changes with the primary email address, etc, and I must have triggered something because I got locked out of both. Fuck.

I received an email from LI saying two accounts is not allowed, and I could choose to merge accounts or close one. So I guess the fact I have that option is a silver lining.

I'm trying to figure out where my screw up was. I had tried to be savvy with keeping accounts to different laptops, using VPN, etc. I might have been careless and slipped up, not sure.

If I create a new second account on a different laptop with a dedicated IP address with a clean new email address, should that theoretically work? How would they know? I'd need to try and keep the name different/super vague. Use a random photo.

Any advice or knowledge/experience would be appreciate. Thanks!
