Echos of the Fall - Asmander and Veynat?

Spoilers for the series.

>!Soooo were Asmander and Veynat lovers? In book 3 his wife says he can have 1 night with Veynat before the big battle, then he turns up and the two of them wander off together. It's not explicitly stated but we're they sleeping together? Had they always been sleeping together or was this the one and only time? Or am I over thinking it and the wife just wanted them to have a night of plutonic comradeship?!<

Bloody nine reference in Echos of the Fall

I couldnt see that anyone else posted this so wanted to share a First Law reference in Echos of the Fall book 3, "The Hyena and the Hawk". One of the Hyenas says to another "You can never have too many knives." Love it. Made me smile.

Not finished the series yet so no spoilers please. Just wanted to share I think it's a cool little Easter egg when my favourite authors reference each other.

To drink or not to drink...

That's the question. Im talking about booze here not hydration lol. I'm considering quitting or at least massively cutting back on booze and would like to hear from anyone who didn't this and saw significant lifestyle improvements such as more mental focus, energy etc. I know it's better your health overall but I want to know if any formerly big drinkers have found the change worth it. Also if others cut it out and didn't improve.

Echos of the Fall 2 & 3 help

I've read /listened and loved nearly everything AT has written... except Tiger and the Wolf. I listened to it a few years ago and gave up near the end. I'm trying again and I'm still not enjoying it, reads to me like poorly written YA which is soooo unlike AT. I'm nearing the end and will finish it but I'm not that keen to keep going. Question is...do book 2 and 3 get a lot better? Or should I just jive up again.

....is no good for me. My daughter has this toy and I'm too scared to play with it. I can't even look at it without looking for a garbage disposal or jug of lemonade.
