Anyone got any AT tattoos?
I'm thinking of getting one this winter and am looking for inspiration. I'd love a Tyrant Philosophers one but can't think how to make it work.
Edit - just had a thought, maybe The Wonk or UnCharles! I love Service Model
Warhammer 40k books by AT
I'm a fan of 40k, never played tabletop but play all the video games, paint figures and like the lore (but I'm not an expert) etc. However I've not read any 40k books by anyone as it just seems too daunting to get into as I don't have time for the millions out there and have a massive TBR list as it is. Thoughts on just reading ATs 40k books for now? Ok to read them as stand alones and not know everything thats happened in other books?
Jersey purchase question
Fanatics is terrible, we all agree... So where so I get a new Pats jersey online.
Are people buying from specific sites? Is quality really better on non legit sites? Or are they still bad but cheaper?
Dragonsteel survey - Europe
On the question about a European Dragonsteel event I said it should be London. Even though I live near Barcelona. I figured that's the most likely location so opted for that ... Just in case anyone in Europe wants to do the same. I figured of lots of us pick London it's more likely to happen.
Quote clarification [off topic]
I'm trying to get a quote right for a potential tattoo. I always thought it was "It's better to do a thing, than live with the fear of it". However, I see on the leather bound books its written "it's better to do it than live with the fear of it". Does Logan say both? Was it simplified for the book? Thanks.
Going to the Munich game?
I'm based near Barcelona there days and am thinking about going to this game...I'm struggling to get friends onboard to come too. (Guess they either hate me or the Pats lol) So might just go myself. For those going, how did you get tickets, are you going as part of a tour or fan group or just making your own way there? Anyone else going solo?
Private health insurance in Europe
Does anyone have probate heath insurance in mainland Europe ( I'm in Spain)? While the public heath system is very good many recommend paying a bit extra to get private too to get appointments faster. My question is, can I get private Medical insurance while having MS?!everyone I've tried denies me, some people have said just say I don't have MS when applying. But then what's the point?! Will I still get covered for Ms treatment or meds? Has anyone done this? Please PM me.
With all due respect I don't need opinions from those not in this exact situation.
Green city wars thoughts - spoilers
Spoilers for whole book
It was a fun read but very predictable and a by the numbers detective noir style book. It was pretty obvious what the mouse was up to and where he was hidden. I kind of hopes the writing would be snappier, there were some cool lines in it but AT is capable of such wit I was a little disappointed. However it was decent and I really enjoyed the world and am excited for more books in this universe.
Anyone Ski?
I was a keen snowboarder before diagnosis about 8 years ago but haven't been since. Based on Ballance and the effort of getting up and down all the time and cold hands trying to do bindings I'm pretty sure I'll never board again. I don't mind as I'm thinking about learning to ski. Anyone Ski no or learnt since diagnosis? Any tips for excecizes before or tips on the slopes? I'm in ok shape but have bad fatigue and muscle weakness on my right side. I do physio and walk a lot.
Echos of the Fall - Asmander and Veynat?
Spoilers for the series.
>!Soooo were Asmander and Veynat lovers? In book 3 his wife says he can have 1 night with Veynat before the big battle, then he turns up and the two of them wander off together. It's not explicitly stated but we're they sleeping together? Had they always been sleeping together or was this the one and only time? Or am I over thinking it and the wife just wanted them to have a night of plutonic comradeship?!<
Bloody nine reference in Echos of the Fall
I couldnt see that anyone else posted this so wanted to share a First Law reference in Echos of the Fall book 3, "The Hyena and the Hawk". One of the Hyenas says to another "You can never have too many knives." Love it. Made me smile.
Not finished the series yet so no spoilers please. Just wanted to share I think it's a cool little Easter egg when my favourite authors reference each other.
To drink or not to drink...
That's the question. Im talking about booze here not hydration lol. I'm considering quitting or at least massively cutting back on booze and would like to hear from anyone who didn't this and saw significant lifestyle improvements such as more mental focus, energy etc. I know it's better your health overall but I want to know if any formerly big drinkers have found the change worth it. Also if others cut it out and didn't improve.
New treatment for autoimmune disorders
This looks promising, has anyone tried this for MS yet?

Echos of the Fall 2 & 3 help
I've read /listened and loved nearly everything AT has written... except Tiger and the Wolf. I listened to it a few years ago and gave up near the end. I'm trying again and I'm still not enjoying it, reads to me like poorly written YA which is soooo unlike AT. I'm nearing the end and will finish it but I'm not that keen to keep going. Question is...do book 2 and 3 get a lot better? Or should I just jive up again.
Neurologist in Barcelona
Can anyone recommend a good Neurologist who knows MS around the Barcelona area?
....is no good for me. My daughter has this toy and I'm too scared to play with it. I can't even look at it without looking for a garbage disposal or jug of lemonade.
