What best can I do with these AI privileges and budget I can afford?

My company gave me unlimited access to the latest AI models. As a full stack dev, my job's been pretty easier with AI tools recently. With a salary as high as 68lpa, having 16yoe and all the best of tools and free time I'm wondering if I can do something or learn something that helps me start a business or atleast become future proof in my career.

Whenever I think I should build this platform or tool or extension, I either see a million other devs do the same or that's something that won't survive in the market for an hour.

Have you ever been in such a situation where you've all that you've ever dreamt of but can't really do anything about it but just worry thinking about the date that this comfort will kill your job one day.

I am writing this at 1am guys. You can imagine what all fears might be running in my mind.

Unpopular Opinion: Srikakulam's healthcare infrastructure is secretly on par with Vizag, leaving Vizianagaram far behind. Let’s look at the facts. 🩺🏥

When people think of Srikakulam, they often view us as a quiet, rural district. But if you look closely at our medical infrastructure, we are punching way above our weight class.

While our neighbor Vizianagaram historically relied heavily on Vizag for advanced medical needs, Srikakulam has quietly transformed into a massive healthcare hub of its own.

Between major corporate super-speciality chains like Medicover and KIMS, huge medical networks like GEMS and GMR Varalaxmi, and our massive RIMS Government Hospital complex, we have specialized care right at our doorstep.

We literally have corporate Cath Labs, Level-III advanced NICUs, advanced neurosurgery microscopes, and complex oncology care operating right inside our district lines.

Let's debate this in the comments:

Have you or your family noticed this shift?

Do you still find yourself traveling to Vizag for major checkups, or are you getting treated right here in Srikakulam town, Rajam, or Ragolu?

What do you think triggered this sudden medical boom in our district compared to our neighbors?

If you are a doctor working in the region, a local, or someone who recently moved back, what has your actual experience been with Srikakulam's hospitals? Let's map out the best facilities below! 👇

Why is no one Concerned about this in Raipur

When there's already Water Scarcity, Power Outages, rising pollution, on top of that we are given Data Center in the name of Development.

Already don't feel like living in Raipur.

Today I learned why Srikakulam Road station is coded CHE. How many of you knew this history? 🤯

If you’ve ever booked a train ticket to come home, you’ve typed CHE a hundred times.

But have you ever paused to think... why the hell is it CHE? There isn't a single letter 'H' or 'E' in "Srikakulam".

It turns out it's a direct relic of the British era. Back when the railways were first being laid down, the British couldn’t pronounce Srikakulam properly, so they officially called the region Chicacole. When assigning station codes, they took the first two letters and the last letter of CHicacolE to make CHE.

Decades after independence, the name changed but the code stuck.

Let's discuss in the comments:

Did you know this, or were you today years old when you found out?

What are some other colonial remnants, old British buildings, or hidden history facts about the district that most of us walk right past every day?

Drop your local history knowledge

Real Talk: Will Bhogapuram Airport & Mulapeta Port stop our brain drain, or just skyrocket land prices? ✈️🌾

For decades, Srikakulam has basically been a "feeder" for Vizag and Hyderabad. Our youth study here, pack their bags, and leave the moment they want a real career.

With Bhogapuram Airport and the ₹4,500Cr Mulapeta Port coming online, the promise is that global logistics and tech will finally move here.

Let’s be honest in the comments:

  1. Will this actually create real, high-paying local jobs for our youth?

  2. Or is Srikakulam just going to become a massive real estate playground where locals get priced out of their own land?

If you are from the region, an NRI looking back, or a Vizag native watching the expansion northward - what is your realistic take on Srikakulam by 2030? 👇

What’s a straight giveaway that someone is from Srikakulam, without them actually telling you where they are from?

We’ve all been there - you’re sitting in a hostel in Hyderabad or an office in Vizag, you hear someone talk or use a specific phrase, and your brain instantly goes: "Yep, they are from my native place." > Aside from the obvious slang words, what are the subtle body language quirks, specific habits, or ways of answering a question that completely betray a Sikkolu native?

Why dont we discuss meaningful stuff

https://www.reddit.com/r/Visakhapatnam/s/Wr1tyrUJFf

I'm daring to post this because of reddit anonymity.

Call me names or memes. But why doesn't this thread encourage discussion on sensible topics like this or other by other redditors. While I see outfit comparisons, biryani comparisons, icecream comparisons gaining much attention, anything about data centres, climate, real action or common sense missing attention and debate.

Am I missing an algorithm or is reddit not the place I should look for?

Random roadside afforestation attempt

Past 10 years, we've seen many areas around vizag and nearby districts like Vzm, sklm getting many road widenings. Leading to tree cuttings on a huge scale. I remember green tunnel roads when I was travelling in childhood. All gone.

Is it that no one cares or is waiting for magic to happen, just like me?

I'm planning to go on planting seeds and plants all along whenever I find time. No matter how many survive. Easy to leave it to the govt. But ultimately if 10% survive, I consider it a win.

Am I foolish? Am I alone in this? Am I wrong by doing so? Is it a punishable offence? Do govt have plans and not do intentionally?

4 months, 8 final rounds, yet no offer

I've been giving interviews for senior dev positions for the past 100 days. With 12 yeo, I didn't get a single call from LinkedIn but got from referrals. I managed to clear interviews with them for 6 companies till round 3,4. Was about to get an offer for all of them, but got a smooth rejection call or mail afterwards. Ngl, I used AI at times. But not completely reliant. 2 went till round 5 - extra technical. I'm losing hope. Not getting motivation to start the day. To apply and beg for referrals again. To start again from resume, intro, tech, hackerrank, live interview, at last rejection.

Did something worked out for anyone? How do you motivate yourself? Any working solution? Each interview killed 3 weeks time. Nad it's only getting late.

Context: 9 YOE, Male. Data engineer. I took a career break of 6 months trying freelancing. Reason being burnout from my regular job. No payroll. Now trying for a regular job back again. The fifth one in 9 years.

Was earning 55 LPA. Now I've set my expectations as 55 LPA only, thinking that could land me faster after break.

  1. Am I doing the wrong bargain? Should I have gone with a higher, saying 30% hike expected as per industry standards?

  2. Is there any such thing as an industry standard?

  3. Will the HR consider it as break or freelancing as continuity?

It's all marriage season about to begin and already began in and around vizag. DJ nuisance is all back into form. And the season continues till Dusshera.

Forget the masses, is someone from Police department, higher in the govt, who's not linked with voters, not at all concerned with this issue?

Let's not bring religion here. But are people really enjoying the high frequency sounds which are creating heart palpitations in young and old?

Did anyone succeed in taking action at this? Any hope insight for eradicating this evil culture?

Is there a department that takes complaints seriously in Andhra that solves this issue?
